7. Performs complex quality checks.  Identifies and analyzes quality
problems, determines impact and makes recommendations for improvements.



8. Creates basic and detailed design documents and presents material at
Design Review meetings, implementing any changes.



9. Reviews RFQ and specifications.



10.  Provides support to sales efforts by developing materials for
technical review.  Assists with preparing technical reports and
presentations.  May deliver routine technical presentations.



11.  Conducts market research and benchmarking where appropriate for use at
Technical Reviews. Performs patent searches, creates and submits new patent
requests, researches and reviews existing patents.



12.  Assists with risk management activities and analysis and in defining
potential problems or issues.



13.  Analyzes and recommends improvements to current processes and
systems.  May implement improvements.



14.  May provide guidance and on-the-job training to lower level
colleagues.



15.  Follows the DIAM Operating System (DOS) with respect to managing
individual programs.  Informs the Program Leaders and functional management
of the progress being made toward each milestone within the program.  May
be required to act in the Program Leaders role and perform all related
activities, as defined.



16.  Ensures compliance with general organization-wide and
department-specific ISO/TS 16949 requirements.



17.  Participates in and supports environmental ISO 14001 and safety
activities by developing supporting goals and objectives, attending
required training, complying with established procedures and initiating and
implementing corrective actions, as needed.
