We have an urgent requirement. *Title: Senior SQL Report Developer with Cognos and Python* *Location: New York, NY ( **Locals only**Direct in-person interview required***)* *Job Type: Contract 1 year (Weekly 35 hours)* *Job description:* MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: *Note:* Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered Ø Ability to write complex SQL statements using SQL / T-SQL. Experience working with complex SQL and its variations (such as PL/SQL) is an asset. Ø Strong Knowledge of XML technologies (XML, XSL, XSD). Ø Hands on knowledge of SOA, PKI, web services, Enterprise Service Bus technologies. Ø Strong knowledge of python (pandas library experience preferred). Ø Expertise with integration technologies and processes, enterprise data warehouse implementations and reporting tools, integrating multiple legacy and strategic systems. Ø Knowledge of testing tools and techniques and executing test scripts to test performance. Ø Strong knowledge of database back-end systems, including *SQL Server 2008 R2 / 2012.* Ø *Proficient with Cognos, including Facts, Dimensions & various Schemas supporting them.* Ø Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Ø Excellent analytical, organization, presentation and facilitation skills; ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines; Ø Knowledge of database administration, repository management, and data warehousing practices. Ø Working knowledge of database front-end systems, including MS Access. Ø Experience in object-oriented languages (i.e. Java, C#, etc.). Ø Experience in scripting languages (i.e. VBA, PowerShell, etc.). Ø Past utilization of code repositories including, GitHub, Bitbucket, or GitLab. Ø Experience with developing solutions for distributed architecture and management of large datasets using Hadoop and Spark or similar frameworks. Ø Use of software development collaboration tools, including Jira, Slack, Team Foundation, and Base Camp.
