Oracle On Demand (Oracles hosted and managed applications and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) deployment models which supports the entire Oracle stack: Applications, Middleware, and Database) and will be moving to Oracle 11g. I am searching for an individual who has had experience designing an environment for a database and migrating the data. This is a key leadership role, with responsibility for creation and development of data architecture, data management standards and policies and implementation of best practices in databases, data warehouses, data integration and reporting/business intelligence. You would work closely with senior management and business in synthesizing underlying data requirements both in broader enterprise context and specific business initiatives and objectives. You would partner with business and technology teams in developing reference data solutions - identifying data owners and in facilitating the design and development of mechanisms to share the data within the enterprise. Architecting appropriate data integration solutions to meet business and technical requirements of the projects/initiatives balancing short term vs long term objectives. Delivering scalable and high performance database design, optimized for business requirements. Performing due diligence and recommending appropriate technical environments for database projects. Developing and implementing standards and principles in the area of data management and more specifically data management. Working with XML, XSD and other similar technologies to describe and deliver data driven integration CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: Data Architect with 4 or more years experience in architecting and delivering database solutions Must have recent hands-on experience in working with Oracle databases and associated tools; Oracle 10G and above preferred. At least 4 years experience in ETL Application Architecture / Design Experience; a minimum of 2 implementation cycles of ETL Development with leading tools - e.g Data Stage, Informatica etc. At least 3 years experience in technical requirements definition, mapping and data modeling experience At least 3 years experience in hands-on technology and leadership experience in customer data integration or similar domain.
