URGENT Contract position with one of their direct clients for PL/SQL Developer with Excellent PERL scripting skills. ***PERL IS MUST*** Location: New York, NY Duration: 6 to 8 months. Rate: $48/hr Job Description: Major Job Functions Works in a single project team consisting of 5-7 software engineers. 3+ years of experience in software development. 2+ years of experience with object-oriented Perl. 3+ years of experience with mod_perl or CGI. 3+ years of experience with C 1+ year of experience writing AJAX front-end code. 3+ years working with HTML/CSS programmatically. 1+ year of experience with SVN/SVK or GIT. 3+ years of experience with Apache applications. 1+ year of experience programming against Oracle including stored procedures. Contact with any modern database object mapping technology. Comfortable developing within a Unix (Linux) shell using vi or emacs. Detailed knowledge of system-level concepts like: fork(), POSIX signals, file systems and memory management. Interest in high-volume data processing applications. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Good knowledge of software development methodologies. Assesses business problems, system requirements, and the external system design. Provides development estimates during design phases. Responsible for producing quality code that efficiently implements project goals. Responsible for submission and maintenance of code into working product builds.
