On site interview Must* *Explanation for Position:* BIA is requesting 1 contract developer for the Orion Simulation Application (OSA) project to program future phases of enhancements. OSA is a BIA centralized system designed to run delivery and pickup simulations through the ORION optimizer. This new web-based application allows what-if scenarios to be run to see the resulting impacts on miles, hours, and cost for drivers and centers. OSA Phase Requirements Include: a) Add time commitment editing for pickups (currently only deliveries); b) Add additional reporting items including number of stops changed, simulation miles/cost/hours averages; c) Add ability to view/edit stops and packages (provide functionality for use in front-end). These enhancements and their associated benefits will be leveraged with the 2020 Strategy Project. *Details of Position:* Support the development of business requirements and program specifications; Assist in the creation of project timelines; Work closely with management team to design application flow; maintain OSA web application; Design and implement database scheme and process flow; Develop, analyze and execute system test plans; Analyze UPS data to determine necessary data constraints; Take full ownership of application as it relates to automating production posting cycles and communicating with the various stakeholders; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mgmt.
