Location: Maumee, OH Duration: 6 months Rate: Open *SQL Server – Oracle DBA* Request for DBA with primary skills as SQL Server DBA and secondary skills as Oracle Enterprise DBA Should have strong experience as DBA for SQL Server Standard x64 Ed 2005, SQL Server Enterprise Edition 2000, SQL Server 6.5 and SQL Server 7.0 Should have exposure to Oracle RDBMS 8.*,9.*,10.* Should have worked on 24 x 7 Production Support or implementation. Should have worked on Unix platforms preferably on HPUX Systems and Windows 2000 platforms. Good understanding of database concepts. Extensive Patch Application experience Participated in at least one upgrade project / Implementation project Worked on Large Databases sizes Worked on Backup & Recovery issues, Backup and Recovery using RMAN. Worked on Various Database Monitoring Tools and scripts. Extensive Performance tuning experience, Troubleshoot Various Wait events Monitor indexes / tables size/ table spaces and other key entities in database and recommend tuning solutions Build, and enforce database change management, security standards and best practices. Working experience on Standby Database, Data Guard and Disaster Recovery Capacity Planning of Large Database on Unix Systems and Windows Systems Exceptional verbal and written communications skills and the ability to effectively and professionally communicate with management, staff and customers as well as demonstrate sound judgment and reasoning skills.
