[courier-users] Account to access all mailboxes
Hi, Is it somehow possible to use administrator credentials to access all mailboxes? I'm using courier-imap-4.0.2 with courier-authlib-0.55. Everyone accesses their mailbox by IMAP, and the administrator maps all the imap accounts to his mail UA. -Enda. - This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ ___ courier-users mailing list courier-users@lists.sourceforge.net Unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/courier-users
[courier-users] Passes SPF but still being classified as spam
Hi all, My wife has complained that a number of genuine (advertising) email have been classified as spam by SA, yet they have SPF_PASS in the list of tests run against the email. Unfortunately, SPF_PASS is given 0.0 weighting by SA and therefore the emails are being classified as spam. I'm tempted to dig through the SA config file to edit the weighting for the SPF_PASS test, but I'm concerned that this may lead to false-negatives for genuine spam. What do people recommend I do? Myself, if I were using SA instead of DSPAM: I'd use Courier's built-in SPF tests to reject those messages that outright fail the SPF tests, then go ahead and reconfigure SA to give credence to the SPF test results. -- Art Sackett http://www.artsackett.com/ - This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ ___ courier-users mailing list courier-users@lists.sourceforge.net Unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/courier-users

To rephrase: passing or not passing SPF test doesn't say anything about the spammyness of the message. It only tells if the message is coming where it is supposed to come from. esa - This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ ___ courier-users mailing list courier-users@lists.sourceforge.net Unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/courier-users

Re: [courier-users] Account to access all mailboxes
I set up a simple test on my mail server to confirm if an admin-like account could be done. Requirements: filesystem which supports symlinks and an OS which allows you to change permissions on symlinks themselves (chmod -h). Caveats: This method only confirmed to work in Thunderbird/Icedove. user1 has user1/Maildir as their mail directory. admin has admin/Maildir for theirs. ln -s user1/Maildir admin/Maildir/.user1 chmod -h : admin/Maildir/.user1 In email client configured to access the admin account, subscribe to "user1". Access user1's email from within admin account as if it were just another folder.
