[Coworking] Re: Multi Point Video Conferencing

2010-11-24 Thread EcoHub
I just set up Google TV and the new Logitech system and we're rolling
great! Check it out on our Facebook page:
http://www.facebook.com/EcoHub#!/album.php?aid=313039&id=357577790096

My camera covers the whole main room (so i can get 25+ people all in
the shot) with this super wide angle!

This works like a dream, EcoHub members love it, and the skype app
will be available in Jan 2011.

[Coworking] Re: Tools for community driven initiatives

2010-11-24 Thread EcoHub
I agree with Alex... Town Hall style... post in Facebook and
Twitter... set parameters so that people's time is not wasted and
invite a special guest to take a tour like the mayor, congress rep,
etc. Here's an example of a Member's meeting on Facebook and we just
announced that Senator Christine Kehoe has been confirmed to tour our
campus: http://www.facebook.com/EcoHub#!/event.php?eid=161212727250339

This excites everyone!

2010-11-24 Thread EcoHub
I agree Paulie... Show the world what's up and what you can do!

And, I also feel very strong about saying what your gonna do as a
leader and be specific! Here's my example:

Re: [Coworking] Spam on the wiki

2010-11-24 Thread Jacob Sayles
Camille,

I went through and manually removed a bunch of his posts already. Looks
like I missed a bunch. There isn't a way for us to mass delete his posts
unfortunately. He's been blocked and we catch things like this much faster
now because we keep an eye on the edits being made.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll get to scrubbing.

Jacob

[Coworking] start up legal docs

2010-11-24 Thread Rogelio
Just found a nice list of docs necessary for a startup (likely of use to
others here who also own their own business), along with a few caveats.

[Coworking] Re: Marketing Ideas?

2010-11-24 Thread basterrak
Hi Paulie,

In my oppinion the fist of all si make a community and comunicate its
existence. Because when some people join their skills ever is a
interesting notice in the city or in the market sector.

A good 2nd step is find some other people who will join this community
(internet plattforms, social media, virtual portoflio showing your
shared ideas...). In our case we put some efforts finding some shared
proyects and costumers for offer them to our partners, is possible you
leave some money go to others professionals but it's a little
sacrifice for get coworkers on the future.

When the community it's created si easier get others on board and
share the costs of the professional activity.

Regards.
