Could you tell me what the name of your coworking facility is, your location website address, contact information and the ethnicities and sex of the owners? Re: [Coworking] Minority owned coworking spaces
Hi Edward, I believe you posted details of your request recently, but perhaps you might post a new thread with your request for those who want to identify themselves with some or all of the information you seek. You may also want to post a Google form for folks to fill out in a way that you can parse. Besides this list (which might be the best way to receive direct information, since it is pretty active), consider checking with open data sources like Socrata, Chambers of Commerce and the Small Business Administration. As for open data, someone may have already processed this information, so check with your local civic tech resource? I would be interested in visualizing a similar data set at some point, so please link back with final results when possible. [Coworking] Re: Want to offer entrepreneurship classes at your space..?
I would be interested in learning more Matt. Gretchen Bilbro Cultivate Coworking On Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 3:54:15 PM UTC-5, Matt D. wrote: Hi all. We've been offering home-grown entrepreneurship workshops (like this one: http://www.theskillery.com/introduction-to-entrepreneurship/) at our coworking space for most of the last year. I'm wondering if any of you would like to offer this sort of workshop at your space, but maybe you don't have the resources/time/etc. to pull it together... is that you? If so, would you be willing to chat for a few minutes? Phone, Skype, or even email? No sales pitch - promise. Just interested in learning from other owner/operators who may be noodling this sort of thing. We'd love to make the curriculum and course materials available for others to offer within their communities… so we're interested in learning more. Anyone willing to chat? If so, let me know! Many thanks, in advance. -Matt -- Visit this forum on the web at http://discuss.coworking.com --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Coworking group. Re: [Coworking] Who has agreements w/ outside groups?
Thanks Tony Alex, and thanks for some new ideas I can offer. I'll see how they go over. *Glen Ferguson* Phone: 301-732-5165 Email: g...@coworkfrederick.com Website: http://coworkfrederick.com Address: 122 E Patrick St, Frederick, MD 21701 On Sat, Jul 25, 2015 at 7:38 PM, Alex Linsker alexlins...@gmail.com wrote: Hi Glen, I can totally relate to what Tony wrote about costs and valuing a place. At Collective Agency, we started out with a no charge option, and that worked great until many unintented consequences happened. I'm very happy to rent out conference rooms for meetups and user groups. Members get 3 hours per day in conference rooms. Non-members pay. Event space rental is always paid, for up to 45 or up to 125 people, and only after hours. I do not think groups or boards or companies can be responsible for an event. I think individuals can be responsible. If one person isn't responsible for something, no one is responsible, is a belief I have. But individuals can work together, and responsible decisive responsive leaders, and setting assertive limits, and systems and processes, is the best.
