[Coworking] Seeking examples of city/corporate subsidized/sponsored coworking.

2018-07-18 Thread Aloma Loren
Hello all -

This forum has been such a great place to read about other owners/operators
experiences and share ideas.

I'm looking for examples of city or corporate subsidized/sponsored
coworking models and other ways that coworking spaces have been able to
keep their doors open, offer some discounted/subsidized memberships and be
a strong community partner.

We pay full market rate for our space and our lease goes up every year. We
have raised our rates substantially since opening 4 years ago and I know
that makes our space financially out of reach for many people.

[Coworking] Re: Nexudus pluses and minuses

2018-07-18 Thread Shane Austin
We've been using Nexudus at coLab since 2014 and the platform has supported
our business through multiple stages of growth. From a small operation with
100% open space memberships, to the current form with triple the square
footage and quadrupled members.

After overcoming some of the technical hurdles and understanding, it
because much easier to experiment with the membership model and
product/service offerings. Adrian and his team have always been incredibly
helpful and responsive throughout all of our iterations. We don't use all
of the platform features, but it is comforting to know that we can 'grow'
into them if and when they are needed.

We're now looking at opening another location and feel confident that
Nexudus will help us scale with ease.

[Coworking] Coworking Investors?

2018-07-18 Thread Heather Miller
Hey all! I am in the process of opening a coworking space specifically
designed for uplifting and sustaining creative professionals' careers. I'm
so glad I found this channel, as it's a great sounding board for some
consistent questions I've been having. Plus, I can see that a lot of our
ideas have already been replicated elsewhere, so I'm excited to learn how
others have done it before us!

We have a fantastic space ready to go, and everyone is on board with it,
however we are going to need some starting capital to finish up some of the
construction. Our landlord (the building owner) has already worked out a
deal with us to finish 1/3 of 5000sq ft space, with the last 1/3 being our
responsibility. We are estimating the construction costs to be around
$15k-$20k, and then we'll have to pay for the furnishing after that as
well. Overall, we're looking at needing probably $50,000 or more to furnish
all of that area... We're planning on doing a crowdfund, but are still
expecting to be short. :(

Does anyone have any experience in asking investors or companies for
sponsorships of any kind? I have no idea where to start, what to ask, or
where to find people that would be interested in investing money of that
kind.

Any good resources or advice?

Much appreciated!

Hi Adolfo,

We use zoho forms with the facility to merge the document based on the
details entered. Then we have linked those details to nexudus using the API.
