[Coworking] Re: Any Feedback from People Who Use Nexudus Coworking Software?

2016-08-22 Thread Nathan Daum
Thanks Leah, we'll try getting into the code to see if we can hack out a
customization for that. Speaking of which, I've been trying to use the
document template tool to no avail. I'd like to have an easier way to look
at and share the new applicants as they come in, and document templates
seems to be the way to do it. Does anyone have a template they use for this
that you could share?

[Coworking] Re: Any Feedback from People Who Use Nexudus Coworking Software?

2016-07-31 Thread Nathan Daum
One shortcoming we've struggled with is the inability for our members to
make recurring bookings. We try to handle those for them but it has been
hard to learn this one exception to our otherwise self-serve system of
rules. I also think it hinders adoption of the tool for room bookings, in
general. I can send "help me help you" gif emails with the best of them but
our time would be better served recruiting mentors, organizing events, etc.
Have you found this to be a shortcoming as well? If you have ever wanted
Nexudus to allow your members to set up recurring room bookings, it would
be great if you shared that feedback with Adrian . He
has told us that "is something no one else has requested so its very low
priority on the list."

Thanks!

[Coworking] phonebooths

2016-06-16 Thread Nathan Daum
We have 15 phone booths, 7 meeting rooms. 150-200 on site users. There are
times (maybe once a week) when every "in use" indicator light is on, but they
go out after 10 minutes of inactivity and I have never looked through the glass
doors to see if it was really the case. Gotta have ample meeting/focus spaces!
We get high marks on this from our members and I know it is a frustration some
of them had at other places. There are definitely times the conference rooms
get oversubscribed. Always liking for ways to mitigate the demand for those.
They're on an online booking system with allowance/credits depending on
membership level and a member price (discounted) for any use thereafter. The
phone booths are first come first served. We don't have a reservation system
for those.

[Coworking] Re: Any Feedback from People Who Use Nexudus Coworking Software?

2016-06-07 Thread Nathan Daum
Hey Lisa sorry for the delay, but yes, as others have indicated, Adrian is
awesome and the product is constantly improving. It is really comprehensive so
you can do just about everything with it if you're willing and able to spend
the time to customize it. I know some folks pay to have systems built or
customized for them and I can say from experience if you DIY fitting it into
free time scattered around the work day/week, that customization/adoption could
take many months. We started with the have to haves (billing and room booking)
and that's been a huge upgrade from what we were doing before. The
"nice-to-haves" are getting done over time and honestly that's fine with me.
Everytime we make a small improvement it makes us pretty happy. :) and, we
didn't shell out for the big contract (our vendor wasn't ready for us and we
decided to go for it ourselves rather than seek out someone else). One piece of
advice I got from Marnee at Works Progress I would urge you to adopt is to do
this incrementally. Trying to do it all at once is too much for your members to
handle and there will inevitably be some configurations that don't work exactly
as intended so limit the variables as you build it our little by little is the
way to go. Even if you don't have any members yet, I wouldn't try to do too
much with it until you really get the hang of it. Good luck!

[Coworking] Has anyone else used RoomZilla for conf rooms/phone rooms?

2016-05-21 Thread Nathan Daum
I know you want insight into roomzilla and I have none but you said something
really interesting there. You're obviously employing some system other than
economics to ensure room availability. If you've ever blogged or podcasted your
philosophy on that, could you share a link? I'm intrigued!
