This is a great idea. I am learning more on this as I would want to embark
on this layout in a new workspace that I am about to establish.

Good thinking.

psychotherapists and will open up to others if there seem to be

2019-03-17 Thread Susan Signorile
I’m interested to hear if there is anyone else doing the same model because our
coworking space is also expanding and we building 7 offices for therapists
that’s big enough for a massage bed and a small desk. We busy sourcing members
at the moment to see if this is feasible.

Plus we also building a yoga studio with equipment which is included in the
office rental. I think it’s a great model!

Kind Regards,

I see someone else already mentioned Soma Vida in Austin.

However, thought I would suggest seeing if you can connect with Laura Shook
Guzman, the Founder of Soma Vida. Her set-up differs from your proposed
set-up as many of her therapists have their own dedicated offices.
However, she does have office space that is shared amongst other
members/therapists, who rent the space by the hour.

Laura Shook Guzman is also Co-Founder of Women Who Cowork, which might be
the best way to reach her.

[Coworking] Re: Coworking for Therapists/Counselors

2019-03-17 Thread Penny Mechley-Porter
Thanks, Jeannine. So far I'm thinking about this kind of a layout: 5
therapy offices with a reception room and a separate coworking space which
I'm identifying as the Therapist Community Room. It would have a different
entrance than for the clients. This is the 'coworking' part of the space
where therapists could work on their notes or projects, meet/learn
from/support other therapists, and participate in trainings, events, peer
supervision and the like. I think it needs a separate entrance so clients
aren't working through the Therapist Community Room which would compromise
the confidentiality of the clients.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this layout?

[Coworking] Re: Coworking for Therapists/Counselors

2018-10-29 Thread Jeannine van der Linden
I have not, but I have had psychiatrists and massage therapists and other
therapists as members in my space.

Another consideration to keep in mind, as with other professionals, is that
this group has ethical obligations as well as contractual ones (for
malpractice insurance for example) regarding privacy and patient records.
Accessibility issues -- both physical and in terms of the atmosphere in the
space itself -- are also key, as this group often works with a vulnerable
population.

Reserving a private space ahead of time for meetings is a fairly common
circumstance for coworking spaces and not likely to have any unique
features other than the privacy related ones, or such was my experience.

Happy to talk about our experience, can you say a little more about what
questions you have?

Warm Regards,

Jeannine
