[cross-project-issues-dev] Still disabled features/repositories for Mars M2?

2014-10-01 Thread David M Williams
I'm sure everyone knows today (approximately 5 PM, Eastern) is the last
chance for contributions to Mars M2 aggregation (and thus EPP package
content) ... and I still see disabled features or repositories in the
following 4 files. I don't recall the history ... if I disabled them, or
someone else did ... but, it is each project's responsibility to re-enable
when ready (and when passes local validation with b3 aggregator).

emf-emf-rap.b3aggrcon - org.eclipse.simrel.build
mft.b3aggrcon - org.eclipse.simrel.build (2 matches)
mylyn-docs-intent.b3aggrcon - org.eclipse.simrel.build

[cross-project-issues-dev] Remember to keep Luna files up-to-date with buildable URLs (and content)

2014-10-01 Thread David M Williams
As Luna SR1 was released, many projects moved their final content to a
persistent URL, and the short-lived pre-release URLs were removed.

I don't want to discourage that clean up thanks! ... but, your
b3aggrcon files should be updated to point to the final URL, so the
aggregation builds still work.

While there is no immediate need for Luna aggregation builds, myself and
perhaps others sometimes need to do an aggregation just to confirm it
still works ... such as I need to make some changes to the build after
Mars M2, and want to be sure all still works as before after I make
those changes.

So ... besides triggering builds on commits (on Luna_maintenance branch)
I will also set up the Luna runAggregator job to run every day at 6 AM,
so that if there are URLs that can not be found, there will be messages
sent out to those responsible for the project. None of the resulting
builds will be promoted anywhere ... it's purely to make sure all still
builds.

Thanks for your help, let me know if questions or issues.

Thanks,

2014-10-01 Thread David M Williams
Yes, and if you had to ask that, sounds like it'd be a good idea for me to
remind everyone there is a lot of good information at

https://wiki.eclipse.org/Mars

one of which is

https://wiki.eclipse.org/Simrel/Contributing_to_Simrel_Aggregation_Build

Just for your reference. I suggesting book marking at least the category
page, and from there you can find most of what you need to know.

Thank you (for asking ... and for getting back in the build).

[cross-project-issues-dev] OCL and QVTd M2 late

2014-10-01 Thread Ed Willink

Hi

Sorry, some Papyrus M2 traffic has only just woken me up. OCL and QVTd
will be late.

A workaround for an Xtext evolution is looking good so OCL M3 with very
little external change should be available soon and QVTd a little later.

Apologies again for being so dozy.

Regards

[cross-project-issues-dev] Fw: [lunaAggregation] Failed for build 2014-10-01_13-16-05 - disregard first set

2014-10-01 Thread David M Williams
Apologies for tons of incorrect aggregation failed messages being sent
out.

I think every project got one! :(

While I'd remembered to change the branch back to Luna_maintenance, what
was in the workspace was from our last minute respin, pointing to a now
non-existent repo in .../releases/luna/201409261000
(which was our original about to be released repo ... the respun repo
was named 201409261001)

So, I have deleted the existing Hudson workspace ... so subsequent
messages should make more sense.

Note: if anyone is confused by the file:// URL, that's just an internal
implementation detail we do to optimize retrieval on eclipse.org
your input files should still use http://;.

Thanks, and again, sorry for the spam ... though if there is any good to
come out of it, it has told me there are a few invalid emails in the
b3aggrcon files ... I'll sort through those later and open a bug, or
something if there are enough of them.

I disabled the emf-emf-rap contribution for Mars M1 because EMF wasn't RAP
compatible at that time. I don't know the current state of EMF, but it
would be great if this contribution can be re-enabled for M2:

[cross-project-issues-dev] Mars M2 staging repository is complete

2014-10-01 Thread David M Williams
While the EPP packages are being prepared, be sure to confirm

http://download.eclipse.org/releases/staging/

is as expected, and it doesn't hurt for project leads to check the repo
reports
to get on top of any bugs or releng issues that need to be fixed:

http://build.eclipse.org/simrel/mars/reporeports/

I've disabled the Mars aggregation job to avoid confusion, and will
re-enable it on Friday afternoon.

Assuming no blocking issues are raised, the 'staging' repo will become
part of the composite repo at
http://download.eclipse.org/releases/mars/

on Friday, Oct 3, at approximately 10 AM Eastern.
