Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Upgrading HIPPs to SLES12 (Part 8) - Nov 29th, 10am EST

2016-12-06 Thread Frederic Gurr
Hi,

I guess this is a misunderstanding. I was only referring to the SimRel
HIPP instance. AFAIK there are no SimRel related UI tests.

Regards,

Fred

This is not happening on Tycho, but on Hudson. Your Hudson jobs most
likely have a shell step before running maven to start metacity, where
you should replace it with icewm.
But that might not be enough. I've seen several projects having issues
since the update because of

It broke nebula's build. icewm vs metacity does not ring a bell but I will
look into it.

Why were you pretty sure that no UI tests where happening?

Cheers,

[cross-project-issues-dev] LSP4E participation to Oxygen

2016-12-06 Thread Mickael Istria
The LSP4E project would like to participate to the Oxygen simultaneous
release.

The goal of the project is to make the Eclipse IDE possible to consume
Language Servers conforming to the Language Server Protocol. Although
it's more to be perceived as a framework to very easily create support
for new languages in the Eclipse IDE, with most of the language logic
separated and reused/reusable as a language server, it also provides a
way for end-users to dynamically define a language server and take
advantage of it in the IDE without installing new plugins.

(we'll probably reuse this blurb in the description)

As the project is new and currently incubating, it's not yet know which
version will be suitable for Oxygen. Depending on the adoption by some
other projects, it may be 0.2.0, 0.N.0 or even 1.0.0, 1.0.1 or 1.1.0...
This also depends on the releases of the LSP4J project (LSP4E will most
likely create a new milestone release whenever LSP4J releases).

How should we handle this? Should we start by defining a 0.1.0 and a
0.2.0 milestone releases and announce 0.2.0 as candidate for Oxygen,
with the high priority of a version change?

Thanks in advance

[cross-project-issues-dev] State intent early (M4)

2016-12-06 Thread Wayne Beaton
Many projects have not yet announced their intention to participate (or
not) in the Oxygen Simultaneous release.

The *deadline* is approaching. For our Oxygen release, that's *Friday,
December 16/2016*.

Part of the reason why we require that project teams explicitly opt-in
by M4 is to ensure that project teams are paying attention to the
communication channel. It's also a quick reminder for everybody in the
community to take a quick look at your plans to make sure that they
identify potential challenges they may face working with you.

Please take a quick look at the release participation page [1]. Please
also take a quick look at the "details" page [2].

The details page shows the "summary" from the description that you've
provided in your release record; this is the first place that we'll look
for ideas regarding what we'll include in our press (and discussions
with analysts) about the release. Please try to provide a short
*executive summary* style paragraph at the beginning of your description
(e.g. something that I can say when I'm taking to people about your
project; it's hard to say a list of bullets): give people a reason to
want to find out more about your project.

If your project does not appear on the participation page, please first
ensure that you've created a release record for Oxygen (with a
reasonable description), and then send a note to this channel with a
pointer to that release record and an indication of your project's
offset in the build. There's more information in the wiki [3] (while
you're there, please take a couple of minutes to scan the rest of the
participation requirements document).

I did scan through the mailing list archives, and I'm pretty sure that
I've recorded all of the announcements made there. If I've missed you,
please accept my humble apologies and then restate.

Thanks,

Wayne

Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Bugzilla down?

2016-12-06 Thread Matthew Ward(Bt. Kt. SSA.)
I've restarted bugs-vm2, it was taken offline by an error in the hosts
NIC firmware.

And download3+4 are not currently in service while we test them, so they
should have no impact on download performance.

Yes, Bugzilla is down. Not for everyone, but for those who are unlucky to
get assigned to bugs-vm2 by the load balancer.

Download is also down or very slow.

Hi,

Is bugzilla down again? We've been unable to access it for several hours

http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/bugs.eclipse.org.html tells me it's up,

least one other user (not from Obeo) reported the same problem on

Bugzilla is working for me. Ealier today a colleague from Northern
France also reported an issue with Bugzilla, and we concluded it's an
ISP or Geographical issue. Try your phone 3/4G network.
