[cross-project-issues-dev] UML2 Contribution for Photon M4

2017-12-11 Thread Kenn Hussey
The UML2 contribution (due today, as a +1 project) for Photon M4 may be
late because the EMF 2.14 M4 Core build has yet to be published.

Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] DTP in Oxygen.2 and beyond

2017-12-11 Thread Brian Payton
Thank you Konstantin for the build fix!

I will do some basic testing to verify that DTP is operating normally with
Oxygen.2

Brian

DTP 1.14.1 build with the fix for the previously described issue is now
available.

Subject: [cross-project-issues-dev] DTP in Oxygen.2 and beyond

Currently, DTP contributes version 1.14 to the aggregation, which actually
has compile time errors against the Oxygen platform. The contributed build
was produced for Oxygen M4. It appears that some time after that, a
breaking change was made in the platform, but the major version of the
bundle in question was not incremented. So aggregation wasn’t blocked
requiring action from DTP, but presumably some subset of DTP functionality
has not functioned as of Oxygen. Aleksandar Kurtakov did find and report
the issue in May [1], but as folks probably know, DTP isn’t actively
staffed by anyone, so non-blocking issues aren’t likely to get the time of
day from anyone.
That’s enough history. I spent some time today to prepare a DTP 1.14.1
build that addresses this issue, but I don’t have the time to test this
build or to shepherd the change into aggregation. Frankly, I can’t even
tell you what functionality is currently broken. DTP is a large functional
area and I am not an expert. I only got involved to unjam the last
aggregation issue.

So, if someone is interested in testing DTP 1.14.1 and shepherding it into
Oxygen.2 or another release, I will make a build available shortly.

Thanks,

- Konstantin

2017-12-11 Thread Mikaël Barbero
Hi,

Due to security update and the associated reboot, the macOS signing and
packaging services will be down for a couple of minutes.

No further disruption is expected.

The maintenance will happen today at 11am EST.

Thanks.

[cross-project-issues-dev] Request to respin Oxygen.2 packages to include m2e 1.8.2

2017-12-11 Thread Fred Bricon
Dear Technology PMC,

the current Oxygen.2 RC4 packages contain m2e 1.8.1 from Oxygen.1, instead
of the 1.8.2 release which was contributed in Oxygen.1a.

1.8.2 contains a number of fixes related to Java 9 support[1] and shipping
1.8.1 instead would be a serious regression from a usability perspective.

Can we please bring this forward to the Planning Council to request a
respin of the Oxygen.2 release? It's unclear to me if I should open a BZ
for this request, let me know and I'll make it happen if needed.

Thanks in advance,

Fred
