Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Subversive new version

2016-11-30 Thread Alexander Gurov

Hello Quentin, David,

I apologize for the inconvenience, it is really my fault for not sending
the notification yesterday or earlier today. The build should have been
deployed yesterday, but unfortunately I had some issues with access to
the build server and simrel configuration and when they were finally
solved it was already late at night. So, in the end the work was
finished today only.

Next time I'll make sure to send notification in advance in case
something happens.

P.S.

Also there is a question regarding the build failure.

Missing requirement:
mappedRepo_home_data_httpd_download.eclipse.org_technology_subversive_4.0_neon-site
 1.0.0 requires 'org.eclipse.team.svn.resource.ignore.rules.jdt.feature.group
[4.0.0,5.0.0)' but it could not be found

I did run the aggregation after submitting new simrel configuration
(without the deprecated feature) and there was no error. Why is it that
this error happened now? Did I miss something yet again?

Thanks for reminder,
Best regards,
Alexander.

Does this mean I'll have to do a respin of our NEON release ?

Thanks

Yes, it sounds like it. I am assuming you have a requirement on
subversive.

I am sending to cross-project list too for broader awareness, plus it
serves as a good reminder to all that if anyone is contributing after
their +n day, you should send a message to cross-project list to let
everyone know. This is especially important if bundles or features
change versions!

The URL for the aggregator in that document was wrong.

It should have ended with "4.6" instead of "4.5". Similar, that

Apologies for missing that. (I did send a note to cross-project list,

Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Git doesn't work with IOException: End of IO Stream Read

2015-10-04 Thread Alexander Gurov

Hi, thanks for the tip. It is exactly as you said.

I checked com.jcraft.jsch and there are already 2 versions installed:
0.1.50 and 0.1.51. So, conflict with 0.1.53 doesn't seem to be
impossible at all. And since I don't know whose dependencies those are,
it truly seems to be better to start with Mars.1 where the only
installed version is 0.1.53, even if it requires some additional work to
move to it.

Best regards,
Alexander Gurov.

Hi

I suspect that your upgrade, like mine, resulted in com.jcraft.jsch
0.1.51 and 0.1.53 'co-existing'. They don't. You might try forcibly
eliminating 0.1.51. Much safer to start with a clean new Eclipse
installation.

But, essentially means using a URL like this one, to "push" your changes.

 ssh://usern...@git.eclipse.org:29418/simrel/org.eclipse.simrel.build.git

You can still pull from the old URL just fine.

Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Ready for Luna (M1) aggregation

2013-08-19 Thread Alexander Gurov

Hello all,

Could anyone please help me find to where "simultaneous release tracker"
went to? I can't find it nor at the portal.eclipse.org, nor at the
project page to where it was supposedly moved to (and where I last saw
it at a time of Kepler Simultaneous Release)?

Thank you in advance.

P.S.
To answer the question no one is asked yet: yes, I did reread few times
the article
http://waynebeaton.wordpress.com/2013/02/08/rolling-out-the-new-project-management-infrastructure/
, but to no avail. :)

Best regards,
Subversive Team
Alexander Gurov.

We do have a preliminary schedule for Luna milestones, see
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Luna/Simultaneous_Release_Plan#Schedule
(though, that one table is only part of that document to review, at
the moment).

The complete schedule is still open for review and "tweaking", but the
first several milestones are pretty much a given, and the first one is
due in two weeks! The overall schedule (of having approximately 6 week
milestones) is pretty much just like previous years. The one main
difference is that we "moved up" M5 and M6 to make sure M6 finished
before EclipseCon 2014 started (so ... we don't allow an "extra week"
for end-of-year holidays) and this M5 and M6 change means M7 is a week
longer than usual: 8 weeks instead of 7!

As always, we hope everyone in 'kepler' stays in 'luna', but ... to
make sure ... we require explicit "buy in". In practice, this means I
started the 'master' branch with what ever it was for Kepler, but then
set enabled="false" for everyone's contribution. If you plan to be in
Luna, please removed the enabled="false" from your "contribution
element". If you are not quite ready to actually make a contribution,
you can put enabled="false" in your "repository element" to signify
the difference of "planning to participate", but "contribution not
ready yet". If nothing else, you may simply have to wait until your
pre-reqs make their contributions.

I have enabled the contributions for Eclipse and Equinox (with out
likely Luna M1 content), and produced a preliminary "staging" repo ...
which has only those two projects in it, at the moment.

Let the fun begin! As always, questions to this list are welcome.

[cross-project-issues-dev] An issue with "Plug-in Tools->Build Site" functioning

2013-04-15 Thread Alexander Gurov

Hello!

I've stumbled upon an issue which I don't know what to do with. I've a
plug-in/feature pair that won't allow me to add a sources feature for
them no matter what I do (I'm using Plug-in Tools->Build Site pop-up
menu item to run the build).
Let's say I 've made a plug-in/feature pair which I've successfully
built (including the sources feature). Then I'm making a copy of the
said plug-in/feature changing just their names (for example adding a
character "1" at the end of the plug-in/feature name's last segment).
While it's not included into the update site's source feature,
everything works just fine. But when I try to include it, I always get
an error message like this:

Unable to find feature ".sources" with version in
range [,of this new the feature I've included>].

What is the most strange - is that some features are built just fine,
while some other isn't and neither one of them have any difference in
how it's made (all the difference is just in names and version numbers).

Does anyone know the reason for such a strange behaviour or the way it
could be fixed? Thank you in advance.

Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] status and outlook for Kepler M1

2012-08-18 Thread Alexander Gurov

Hello,

I've deployed and enabled Subversive contribution for Kepler M1.
At least if I did nothing wrong with Git. :)

Best regards,
Alexander Gurov,
Subversive Team.

17.08.2012 20:29, David M Williams ?:
Its not great. Time to pay attention. There are still 32 projects not
enabled so the aggregation build doesn't get too far.

I tried disabling a few features or repositories to see if the
aggregator could get through a build but eventually gave up fearing
I'd be at it all afternoon.

But, seemed like CDT and Graffiti were two "core" missing ones.

These are the ones I disabled temporarily (in some cases one features,
in others whole repo)

ptp.b3aggrcon
webtools.b3aggrcon
emf-cdo.b3aggrcon
jubula.b3aggrcon
linuxtools.b3aggrcon

There was one "real" error found
Missing requirement: org.eclipse.jubula.feature.feature.group
1.3.0.201208151047 requires 'org.eclipse.help.ui [3.5.2,4.0.0)' but it
could not be found

help UI has moved to version 4.0 so Jubula will need to adjust version
ranges. (not sure what you use if for, but there were API changes
related to Lucence changes (as previously announced on this list) so
not sure if you can have a "wide" range, or need to adjust your Java
code.

The following still have not enabled their contribution. (note, I have
removed Jetty contribution, as they have stated they do not plan on
participating in Kepler Sim. Release).

Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Thank you to the 18 projects that have enabled for Kepler ...

2012-08-14 Thread Alexander Gurov
Thank you for your help. It works for me, so we'll be including our
contribution into Kepler and Juno SR1 soon.

P.S.
But it seems I need to study Git a little first. :)

Best regards,
Alexander.

15.08.2012 8:57, David M Williams ?:
Yes, moved to Git, and as I was updating the documentation, felt the
mechanics and details are similar enough for "Juno" and "Kepler" (and
I hope beyond) that I ended up with one document and made note of the
few differences.

See
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Simrel/Contributing_to_Simrel_Aggregation_Build

And feel free to ask if still not clear after reading that.

Thanks,

Hello,

Is there are any place where I can read how to do this (since CVS does
not seem to be valid place anymore and the Wiki page "Contributing to
Kepler Build" just does not exist)?

But, that still leaves 49 to go!

Remember, next week we will be producing Kepler M1 as well as Juno SR1
RC1 ... all Monday through Wednesday ... so, best if those that are
planning to participate in Kepler enable their project now, or there
won't be time to refine details next week.
