[cross-project-issues-dev] Gerrit should now be back in service
Hi Folks, Sorry about the lateness of this post. As of 4pm Eastern all Gerrit services were back online. The underlying issues were found in the move to Java 8(the cla-plugin failed) and a missing symlink in the repository tree needed to locate some repos(missing repos and therefore a broken index). Thanks for your patience while Mikael and I sorted this out. -Matt. ___ cross-project-issues-dev mailing list cross-project-issues-dev@eclipse.org To change your delivery options, retrieve your password, or unsubscribe from this list, visit https://dev.eclipse.org/mailman/listinfo/cross-project-issues-dev

[cross-project-issues-dev] Asterisk shutdown, Jan 5th 2018
Hi Everyone, As some of you may already know our Asterisk service has been failing us recently, and we have decided to replace it with service from Zoom.us . The shutdown date for Asterisk is January 5th 2018. Due to the way in which Zoom works, and is priced we're changing how we provide bridges. Unlike Asterisk where we provided a bridge on a per project basis, we will be providing Zoom accounts(bridges) to our top level PMCs with the expectation that they will help co-ordinate the calls for any sub-projects they are responsible for. Several PMCs are currently testing this service, and we will be sending out more account details as they become available. [cross-project-issues-dev] Changes in the Eclipse.org batch signing service.
Hi, As some of you who have been following bug 463510 know there have been some changes to the signing service provided by the Foundation. As of now the changes consist mainly of: 1) Increased verbosity in the logs indicate what Java version (6 or 8) is being used to both execute the 'jarsigner' command as well as run the jarprocessor 2) Previously signed files should no longer be re-signed 3) You can choose to use Java 6(and the old jar processor) or Java 8(and a newer jar processor) To use Java 8 for signing/processing you'll need to do one of the following in your build: 1) Set the environment variable JAR_PROCESSOR_JAVA to 'java8' before signing. 2) include 'java8' in the path for the file to be signed, ie: /shared/download-staging.priv/myproject/java8/myjarfile.jar If you do nothing, your builds should continue to be signed/processed using Java 6 and everything should 'just work' as it always has. [cross-project-issues-dev] Default JDK on Hudson
Hi Folks, As most of you know by now we made a change for bug 407265 which unset the JAVA_HOME variable for Hudson. However as some of you found out this has caused some build issues as the 'default' JDK was no longer 1.6.0_21_x64(the current work around is to explicitly set the default JDK for your build via the config page). I talked to the Hudson team about how Hudson determines the 'default' JDK and was told that there were 3 ways the JDK was picked(in order): The JDK specified via JDK installation in the Global Configuration page The JDK specified via the environmental variable JAVA_HOME The JDK in the shell path In the case of multiple installed JDKs the first entry is selected as the default. In our case that means that the 'default' JDK is now 1.6.0_x32 . My proposed fix is re-ordering the installed JDK list and making 1.6.0_21_x64 the first entry by editing the Hudson config file and waiting for the weekly reboot to pick up the changes. Given our proximity to Kepler this is the last change I'd like to make(barring emergency fixes). Comments, questions or concerns? [cross-project-issues-dev] Hudson restart
Hi Folks, While really short notice I'm going to be restarting Hudson in 20minutes to see if that will clear the 'infinite' rebuild issue we seem to have encountered. -Matt. -- Eclipse WebMaster - webmas...@eclipse.org Questions? Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Recent Hudson problem accessing /tmp
The only recent change to Hudson that I am aware of is the addition of 2 extra build slots on Slave1 to help relieve the build load. -Matt. -- Eclipse WebMaster - webmas...@eclipse.org Questions? [cross-project-issues-dev] Hudson Jetty conversion
Hi Folks, I know it's short notice but as it's quiet for Hudson this week I'm going to move us off the Winstone servlet and onto Jetty. I've got everything ready to go so at 4pm I'll shut Hudson down and then startup the Jetty instance. I expect we'll be offline for about 10 minutes. -Matt. -- Eclipse WebMaster - webmas...@eclipse.org Questions?
