[css-d] Retina Images Confirmation

2015-03-12 Thread Crest Christopher
I'm looking for confirmation, when setting Chromes emulation Device
Pixel ratio to, 2 if the graphics are placed within MQ they will
enlarge, correct ? This enlargement of the images is equivalent to
someone with a retina display, correct ? If the images don't enlarge the
MQ and the images are not double the size ?

Re: [css-d] CSS Grids

If you buy into a "grid" the idea is you go all the way. Everything lives
in the grid. That way you get all the responsiveness (and other) benefits
of the grid structure.

[css-d] CSS Grids

2015-03-12 Thread Tom Livingston
List,

I have not used a grid system in the past but am looking into them. As
I was looking at a DIY grid method I had a question pop into my
head...

Is it assumed (uh oh) that you would establish your columns with divs,
for example, and insert elements like into those columns or
would the just be given the appropriate classes to make it
itself one of the column in the grid - thus eliminating extra markup?
Doesn't matter? Pros and cons?
