Re: [css-d] How to avoid tables, but layout a collection of DVDs etc

2007-09-17 Thread cappellano
imho, there is no need for avoiding table in this case. But you
should use proper tables (coding it on the right way).

cheers!

[css-d] a tabless bulletin board?

2006-09-05 Thread cappellano
Hi list!

is there any bulletin board (entirely) tabless? if yes, which one? if
dont, is it recommended to make it using divs or this one case where
tables do the job efficiently and better than divs? Im asking because
Im interested in developing a bulletin board system (a project for my
college) and Id like to make it tabless. if it is better doing it with
tables, that´s okay! I was just wondering with using css and divs
wouldnt viable.

thank you in advance!
cheers

Re: [css-d] Site Test - minority browsers

2006-08-25 Thread cappellano
http://www.newhanoian.com/details.php/venueid/2 -> On FF 1.5.0.6 for
Linux (gentoo in my case) it looks okay, but the layout is complete
messed up when I resize font. On Epiphany it worked okay. Worked on
Seamonkey as well. I dont use KDE, so I cant test it on Konqueror.

The font-resize issue happened in all browsers. The menu 'Things To
Do' hides behind the left colum and also gets transparent - happened
only when hovering it at first time.

http://www.newhanoian.com/ - had no troubles with resizing fonts.
Worked well in all the three browsers.

About the longin/register, check this[1] screenshot i made on Firefox. It
happens on all the three.

Cheers!

ps.: forgive my bad english

2006-02-10 Thread cappellano
Hi there!

I have one doubt about inline menus: when a person press one link at
this menu, I want it (the link) to have the same border bottom color
of the bg. Ofcourse, Ive looked at ALA but couldnt get their
tutorial... they use one ID for it, which I thought a little strange,
since it will make the link border bottom be always at the BG color,
right?

that's all!

[css-d] horizontal "tabed" css menu - need help

2005-07-14 Thread cappellano
Hi list!

I´m trying to make an horizontal "tabbed" menu. No problems on making
the tabs only using lists and css. But I´d like to add images for it
to have a better look.

The image would be this one:
http://www.arcbr.org/imgs/bg_up.png

I thought about using it as a background on the lists, but it didnt
work properly (the text wasnt well centered). So, any other
suggestion?

thanks!
