Thanks.

Fortunately the layout is very simple so fingers crossed should be OK,
although I have found someone willing to help test on the Mac side of
things.

IMNSHO not. I've never noticed any difference. There may by only
rendering differencies due to different fonts and UI/XUL widgets.

Yes, there are rendering differences due to font differences, and that
can actually break your design in some cases. For instance, when I was
testing clearers, I found that empty divs did not work to clear elements
in FF -- known bug. So I started sticking characters in there. Bruno
Fassino and I found that some characters that worked to clear the floats
on the Mac did not on the PC, or vice versa. This is apparently due to
their size. So, yes, you can have major differences appear between FF
on the Mac and the PC. It's rare, but you should still check both, IMO.

[css-d] Firefox consistencies between PCs and Macs

2005-05-11 Thread Julian Voelcker
I am designing an XHTML and CSS interface that needs to work
specifically with FireFox on PC and Macs, but don't have access to a
Mac for testing.

Are there any inconsistencies between the versions of FireFox on the
two platforms?
