The vertical Menu does show the arrows inside the NAV bar (in FF 4.0.1).  You 
do, however, need to remove the bullets by using:

list-style-type: none;

IE8 seems to show the page correctly including the bullets are not appearing on 
the page.  I haven't looked at the code yet because I am watching the biggest 
football match on the planet today!!
