[css-d] PageCheck Mentaid Image Gallery

2006-02-23 Thread Rahul Gonsalves
Dear All:

Would appreciate a quick page check on this gallery-style page that I am
working on. As always, all criticism appreciated. Design, code, and
everything between.

http://mentaid.in/gallery/

I am using Christian Heilemanns' lovely js/Picasa [1] based solution -
thanks for that!

And yes, the 8 errors generated in the CSS are because of the "alt"
attribute being absent; how can I insert it dynamically, using Picasa?
Too off-topic for this list?

Cheers,
Rahul.

Ask Chris?

Quick tour in XP:
Opera8.51-- on gallery page(I think), the black menu bar has some notches.
FF( latest stable)--
1/ black menu bar breaks right on second zoom click.
2/ clicking "top" goes to "this page under construction."
3/ zoom causes text overlap on calendar page
IE6.0-- ok at quick glance. I have the feeling you are designing in
IE(?). If so, try designing in Opera, checking in FF, and /then/ IE.
Eight captures:
win2000/konqueror/safari/mac/ie5.2

Subjective trivia:
I am already depressed. You are not helping my situation with all that
black and gray. And yellow with black scares the *ell out of me :-P .

Better even ask the Picasa people :-) You can caption images, and I
think I added the automatic generation of alt attributes from that
caption.

Many apologies. I have been a member here far too long to have asked
that question. My lame defence is that it was an "aside"...a "by the
way" sort of question :-P.

Noticed, and I have no idea how to fix this. Op9PR2 also shows this -
how to correct? I think I posted this question a long time ago; no real
fixes however :-|.

Noted. Will try and correct.

Sorry about that. I *literally* meant "A Page Check" - that page,
specifically.

Ouch. :-(. I have been accused of many things in my life, and this hurts
the most ;-).

Thanks, as always for sharing the captures David - very useful!

:-S. You know how much I enjoy trying to pick colours out. Black and
grey are my favourites *nods*.

Thanks a ton!

Apologies again,
Rahul.

Maybe a /slight/ improvement by adding...

.mainnav {overflow: hidden;}

(I wonder which browser I just broke :-) )
