Thus, IE needs a declared width on #locations.
That width must be in 'em' to accommodate font-resizing, but because you
have mixed pixels and em in there you'll never get it right.
Something like...
#locations {*width: 15.5em;}
...(hacked for IE-only - this way or whichever way you like) will be
close though.
