Funny, I don't remember calling out the name Rumpelstilskin, but I guess
I did that. By the way I wasn't quoting anyone. I checked out your
website and based on that and your comments you really are into
coveting. I would suggest you find out where in your area you can
review back issues of the Chronicle of Philanthropy. You might then see
who really has the wealth and which organizations are being supported.
It sure isn't the right that's getting the bulk of the money. All of
the causes you support are not being supported by the little guy sending
in his $10 bill. All of the "doing good" activities you describe have
intruded the government into every area of our lives. After all the
controllers have to make sure that the "people" got what they really
wanted, made sure the efforts were properly funded, were followed thru
in every possible way, nationally and internationally without
interference from anyone with a different point of view. You really want
me to believe the establishment politicians saw the light that was
brought to them by the "people." Remember SDS -- Supply the Demand for
the Supply? It works for the one-worlders also. Have you ever seen it
in operation in the small discussion groups where a concensus is to be
formed? Talk about immoral manipulative behavior!

Just where do you draw the line at capitalism? According to the
following study, of the top forty richest Americans almost all of the
big capitalists were around in the 1800s. "The study by Michael Klepper
and Robert Gunther grew out of research the two did for a 1996 book "The
Wealthy 100: From Benjamin Franklin to Bill Gates A Ranking of the
Richest Americans, Past and Present." The authors updated their data for
the magazine article." People with money are no more or less moral than
those with no money. The man or woman who owns five MacDonalds is just
as likely to be immoral as the poverty level Mom. Generalizations may
make you feel superior to the "capitalists", but stereotypes are
dangerous to clear thinking.

But thanks anyway for pointing out that there is a New Age culture and
what it looks like to the true believer.

Morality -- rules to prevent people from harming each other --
do NOT uniquely come from monotheism. The morality of, e.g.,
various Wiccan religions is much more directed at preventing
harm to people and to the planet than Judeo-Christian morality.

The claim that anything outside of Judeo-Christian religion is
evil "occult spirituality" is a standard Christian Fundamentalist
Big Lie, one which they've been using for many centuries as a
pretext for discriminating against, imprisoning, torturing, and
murdering anyone who practices a religion different from theirs.

In fact, Christian monotheists have murdered tens of millions of
people for believing in a different religion (the witch burnings)
and for trying to practice the same kind of non-competitive
pro-human economic sharing (e.g., democratic socialism in Vietnam
and Nicaragua) that Jesus would have approved of.

you already know the good work of Jewish World Review and use their site for
information.  Today I checked it out and the reality of the mass killers at
work was brought home again thru pictures posted with this article.
Benjamin asks an important question.  While he might answer it one way, I
have another view.  From the reading I've done, the bottom line is that
Israel and Jews stand in the way of the forming the New Age one world
government, primarily because of the tie of Jews to their religion (Lucis
Trust material makes that clear), but secondly the religious
will fight the total homogenization of their country.  The leading one

the pictures show how far they will go.  Some of the leaders in Israel have
been pushing Israel to join the EU.  Fools they are.  They refuse to
recognize the contempt in which  Jews are held by the New Age

[CTRL] Wachenhut's Free Market In Human Misery

2003-06-15 Thread William Shannon
-Caveat Lector-
http://www.guerrillanews.com/corporate_crime/doc2099.html

Gilded Cage: Wackenhut’s Free Market in Human Misery
Greg Palast,  June 11, 2003 In New Mexico, three state prisoners face the electric chair, accused of killing a guard in an August 1999 riot that also left an inmate dead. Can a book save their lives? The lawyers defending David Sanchez plan a novel defense to mitigate the death penalty in the case that begins this week in the state’s Fourth Judicial Court. They plan to cite investigative reporter Greg Palast’s exposé from his book "The Best Democracy Money Can Buy," the story of how the callous hunt for profits by the prison’s private operator created conditions that led to riots and deaths.

This is the report, an exclusive excerpt for GNN.

Gilded Cage: Wackenhut’s Free Market in Human Misery

One of the hottest stock market plays of the 1990s was the investment in hotels without doorknobs: privately operated prisons. And the hottest of the hot was a Florida-based outfit, Wackenhut Corporation, which promised states it would warehouse our human refuse at bargain prices. In 1999, I thought it worth a closer look. That year, New Mexico rancher Ralph Garcia, his business ruined by drought, sought to make ends meet by signing on as a guard at Wackenhut’s prison at Santa Rosa, New Mexico, run under contract to the state. For $7.95 an hour, Garcia watched over medium-security inmates. Among the "medium security" prisoners were multiple murderers, members of a homicidal neo- Nazi cult and the Mexican Mafia gang. Although he had yet to complete his short training course, Garcia was left alone in a cell block with sixty unlocked prisoners.

On August 31, 1999, they took the opportunity to run amok, stabbing an inmate, then Garcia, several times. Why was Garcia left alone among the convicts? Let’s begin with Wackenhut’s cutrate Jails "R" Us method of keeping costs down. They routinely packed two prisoners into each cell. They posted just one guard to cover an entire "pod," or block of cells. This reverses the ratio in government prisons—two guards per block, one prisoner per cell. Of course, the state’s own prisons are not as "efficient" (read "cheap") as the private firm’s. But then, the state hadn’t lost a guard in seventeen years—where Wackenhut hadn’t yet operated seventeen months.

Sources told me that just two weeks prior to Garcia’s stabbing, a senior employee warned corporate honchos that the one-guard system was a death-sentence lottery. The executive’s response to the complaint? "We’d rather lose one officer than two." How does Wackenhut get away with it? It can’t hurt that it put Manny Aragon, the state legislature’s Democratic leader, on its payroll as a lobbyist and used an Aragon company to supply concrete for the prison’s construction.

"Isn’t that illegal?" I asked state senator Cisco McSorley. The Democratic senator, a lawyer and vice chairman of the legislature’s judiciary committee, said, "Of course it is," adding a verbal shrug, "Welcome to New Mexico." Wackenhut agreed to house, feed, guard and educate an inmate for $43 a day. But it can’t. Even a government as politically corroded as the Enchanted State’s realized Wackenhut had taken them for a ride. New Mexico found it had to maintain a costly force of experienced cops at the ready to enter and lock prisons down every time Wackenhut’s inexperienced "green boots" lost control. A riot in April 1999 required one hundred state police to smother two hundred prisoners with tear gas—and arrest one Wackenhut guard who turned violent.

The putative savings of jail privatization went up in smoke, literally. The state then threatened to bill Wackenhut for costs if the state had to save the company prison again. In market terms, that proved a deadly disincentive for the private company to seek help.

On that fateful August 31, during a phone check to the prison, state police heard the sounds of the riot in the background. Wackenhut assured the state all was well. By the time the company sent out the Mayday call two hours later, officer Garcia had bled to death.

Why so many deaths, so many riots at the Wackenhut prisons? The company spokesman told me, "New Mexico has a rough prison population."

No kidding.

My team at the Observer obtained copies of internal corporate memos, heartbreaking under the circumstances, from line officers pleading for lifesaving equipment such as radios with panic buttons. They begged for more personnel. Their memos were written just weeks before Garcia’s death. Before the riots, politicians and inspectors had been paraded through what looked like a fully staffed prison. But the inspections were a con because, claim guards, they were ordered to pull sixteen- and twenty-hour shifts for the official displays. One court official told me that Wackenhut filled the hiring gap, in some cases, with teenage guards, several too young to qualify for a driver’s license. And because of lax b

France, Russia, Germany Responsible for 9-11
Sabotage of Concorde 4590 was one giant leap too far

Copyright Joe Vialls. Friday 13 June 2003

How do you think the United States Government would react if a major foreign power launched a crippling attack on the American and Canadian economies, then within a single decade tried to destroy Boeing Aircraft Corporation, blow up Air Force One, and assassinate the American President? Do you believe the United States Government would simply accept this as “fate”, or do you believe it would instruct its intelligence agencies to launch a devastating counter-strike, aimed at proportionately punishing the aggressors without running the risk of an intercontinental thermonuclear exchange?

This report on 9-11 is not intended to undermine those who have taken rigid inflexible positions on events at the World Trade Center and Pentagon. Instead, it has been prepared for the tens of thousands of disenfranchised people who are not willing to believe the official line that “Osama Bin Laden did it”, and who are equally unwilling to believe the tempting Internet alternatives. Most of the disenfranchised believe there was a lot more to this attack than Muslims trying to kill Christians, or a Republican Administration trying to enslave the American people.

The disenfranchised are correct. Whoever the motivated first-world attackers were, they used state-of-the-art technology on their primary target, in fields as diverse as military stealth, aircraft avionics, pyrotechnics, and precision demolition. With the methods and means at their disposal, the attackers could easily have wiped out half of New York and Washington that sunny September morning, but chose not to do so. The World Trade Center was their only primary target, a potent symbol representing America’s economic rape and pillage of the world for the last fifty years.

In military terms the World Trade Center operation was a brilliant success, with not a single brick left standing, followed shortly thereafter by a limited strike on the Pentagon. Although this second strike pointed directly at the armed enforcers of America’s overseas economic rape and pillage, it wasted no heavyweight tactical assets.  The Pentagon was a reinforced “hard target” against which the planners threw a single relatively lightweight Boeing 757, with no serious intent of target destruction.

To find those really responsible for 9-11, we need to take a brief but fascinating trip through history, starting in 1989 when kindly democratic New York bankers “liberated” the people of Russia from the “horrors” of communism. Nobody asked the Russians if they actually wanted to be liberated, and nobody in New York gave a damn when  Russian old age pensions vanished completely, or when members of the Russian Military were driven from relative wealth to the very brink of poverty and despair. To make things worse, the premeditated New York attack on Russia was also intended to destabilise Germany; which at  that time was the unchallenged economic powerhouse of Europe.

Within weeks of the “collapse” of communism, the American media hyped up the need for the Berlin Wall to be taken down, allowing East Germans to be reunited with those in the west. This was an apparently noble gesture, but nobody in New York asked the Germans if they actually wanted to be reunited, nor if they were willing to become the economic basket case of Europe, when economically powerful West Germany was forced to absorb penniless and backward East Germany. The  New York bankers were sure this would cripple and subordinate the German economic powerhouse forever, but somehow, despite being badly mauled, Germany managed to survive the process.

This was not an easy achievement, and in order to survive this external two-pronged American attack on their respective nations, the intelligence agencies of Russia and Germany were forced to develop an unprecedented level of direct and indirect liaison and co-operation.  So by late 1989 these two old foes were talking to each other as never before, but deliberately excluding America and Great Britain.

America, and in particular the New York bankers, had made two new and powerful enemies with very long memories, but this was not enough to stop them. Russia had to be brought to heel completely, and that meant severing any external income streams, in particular Russia’s lucrative cash flow from oil-rich Iraq. This was especially appealing to the [unashamedly Zionist] New York bankers, who also saw President Saddam Hussein as a clear and present threat to their Middle East hobby farm, otherwise known as the Jewish State.

Suddenly, as if out of nowhere, Iraq invaded Kuwait in clear violation of international law, and all nations including Russia were obliged to back a UN resolution d

America started to slide into Fascism long before Bush came into
office. It happened so gradually that no one noticed that it was happening. As
government power grew and individuals became less involved in government at all
levels, leaving it to the professionals, fascism came to power. At one time
civics was taught in the schools, and students learned how federal, state and
local government worked. Then Civics was taken out. The flower children who had
no idea how government worked joined groups emotionally and protested without
ever taking the time to search out what was happening. Oh so righteous they
were. As they grew older they became even more righteous and came into positions
of power where no one was to challenge their thinking. They brought in every New
Age cockamamie idea with the straightest of faces, giving government more and
more power.
Clever they were. They presented their ideas as if they were the
outsiders, fighting the establishment. Everybody likes an underdog and few take
the time to look into the backgrounds of the thousands of front groups
operating. (See the Encyclopedia of Associations for a general idea of how many
groups are operating here and internationally.)  God help you if you wanted to challenge an environmental group, a peace
group, a pro-abortion group, a school
board, a library board or any other branch of government and its establishment. Gradually, as in Nazi
Germany, the churches and synagogues were turned toward supporting the secular
goals of the flower children and their government, leaving behind any effort to teach monotheistic
morality, and moving forward to the acceptance of occult spirituality.
So, the average person gave up learning what was happening, realizing the establishment enemy was too big.
They were whipped into shape gradually.  Forty years have gone by.  Now when someone wants to challenge the state, it's
almost impossible without the support of some sort of well-funded front group,
paid for by who knows.  Fascism was brought into the country by the hands
of the smug, uneducated flower children.   Now when we all are
forced to take on the roles which have been planned for us, yelling fascism
will do no good.   We wouldn't recognize real fascism if it stood on
the steps of the Capital and yelled it's name.  We stopped fighting Big
Brother and his New Age ideas, and now we are his.  Hitler and Stalin would
understand how it happened only too well.

[CTRL] CIA EXPOSE NEW LIE IN BLAIR'S IRAQ DOSSIER

CIA EXPOSE NEW LIE IN BLAIR'S IRAQ DOSSIER
Jun 13 2003
By Mark Ellis, Foreign Editor

THE case for the war on Saddam suffered another hammer blow last night after claims that Iraq tried to buy nuclear weapons were exposed as a lie.

It emerged that the CIA had investigated reports that Iraqi agents attempted to buy uranium in Niger - and found them false.

But 11 months later George Bush used the story to build his case for war against Saddam Hussein.

And Tony Blair put it in his assessment, which was presented to Parliament in September.

The revelations are a major embarrassment to Mr Bush and Mr Blair after coalition forces failed to find any weapons of mass destruction at 87 prime sites in Iraq.

MPs this week condemned Mr Blair for presenting a second "dodgy dossier" of mixed secret intelligence and a student's thesis of 12-year-old information as fresh evidence of Saddam's weapons capability.

The two leaders made Iraq's nuclear arms programme a key plank in their case for war.

Mr Blair said in his crucial document, Iraq's Weapons of Mass Destruction in September, which included the alleged Niger incident: "What I believe the assessed intelligence has established beyond doubt is that Saddam has continued to produce chemical and biological weapons, that he continues in his efforts to develop nuclear weapons.''

And Mr Bush declared in his State of the Union address in January, that "the British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa". But a retired US ambassador was sent to the central African state in February 2002.

He reported back that alleged weapons documents may have been forged because the dates and names were wrong. Yesterday it emerged that he was so worried when he heard Britain's nuclear claims that he contacted the CIA. He was told that agents were looking into new information. He contacted the CIA and the State Department after Bush's speech but was told "not to worry".

CIA director George Tenet referred to the Niger case in a closed briefing to the Senate intelligence committee in September but did not say his own agency had investigated it.

Democrat senator Bob Graham, a former chairman of the intelligence select committee, said the case revealed "part of the the agency's standard operating procedure when it wants to advance the information that supported their position and bury that which didn't''.

US Congress will next week start hearings into claims that intelligence was exaggerated to justify war.

Democrat Henry Waxman said: "We must find out whether the CIA deceived the president or whether it is deceiving the public now to protect the president."

But the CIA last night rejected any blame for Mr Bush using false intelligence information.

Spokesman Bill Harlow said that documents supplied to congressional committees would show that the CIA "did not withhold information from appropriate officials" about Iraq's alleged Niger connection.

Why most Americans are unable to perceive and protest America's slide into
fascism

"In 1896 the famous John Dewey, then at the University of Chicago, said that
independent, self-reliant people were a counter-productive anachronism in the
collective society of the future. Dewey believed that in modern society, people would
be defined by their associations; not by their accomplishments as individuals. In such
a world, people who read too well or too early are dangerous because they become
privately empowered, they know too much, and know how to find out what they don't know
by themselves, without consulting experts." ~Kurt Johmann

  by John Kaminski

How can Americans so silently and willingly acquiesce to the dishonest and
murderous actions of George W. Bush and his criminal oil cartel, especially in light
of the Bush administration's new terror-based policies that are not only
unconstitutional but rob people of numerous basic human rights?

The hypnotic power of television is of course one main component of the fearful
powerlessness that now grips the American populace and has the rest of the world
cringing in fear about where the power elite's military monster will strike next.

The real credit for this continuing American coma belongs to something that has
been right in front of our eyes all the time. It's something we have supported, spent
our money on, and prayed for. Something we have participated in ourselves.

Our public school system is the real reason Bush has been able to get away with
lie after lie in his drive to obliterate our Constitution while installing himself as
dictator of the world. What they did to all of our minds in school is directly related
to what is happening now in the world.

This connection becomes perfectly obvious when you read Kurt Johmann's essay,
"Unschooling: Self-directed learning is best," on his website: http://www.johmann.net/

Johmann, a software developer who lives in Florida, quotes John Taylor Gatto, an
award-winning teacher who taught in New York City government schools for 26 years and
quit teaching in 1991 "so he wouldn't harm any more children." Gatto, author of
Dumbing Us Down: The Hidden Curriculum of Compulsory Schooling and other books
investigating the fallacies of public education, insists American public schools teach
a hidden curriculum of seven lessons:

  1. Confusion. Gatto notes several things contributing to what he calls the
lesson of confusion, including: a lack of subject-related context for what is taught;
too many unrelated facts and unrelated subjects; a lack of meaning and critical
thinking about what is taught.

About this lack of critical thinking Gatto says: "Few teachers would dare to
teach the tools whereby dogmas of a school or a teacher could be criticized, since
everything must be accepted."

With this kind of training, how would it be possible for a kid to know what
valuable things are not in public school curricula? And by extension, how would it be
possible for that same adult to discern what his leaders tell him about American
history versus what really actually happened?

  2. Class position. Gatto addresses how students are kept in the same class by
age and, within this age classification, further classified and separated depending on
how the students have performed in school (for example, classification into so-called
gifted classes).

Gatto says: "That's the real lesson of any rigged competition like school. You
come to know your place."

As someone who has suffered from this myself, you have to ask how many

"We had to ask the questions: By coding evil-based human actions of RAT under the façade of deviant religious beliefs have the RAT torturers been able to divert the thinking of society-at-large away from truth and reality, away from the criminality of their actions?  Much like false memory advocates diverted the truth about ritual abuse.  Much like Freud theorized away the reality of incestuous sexualized abuse.  Much like Richard Gardner created misogynistic parent alienation syndrome to explain away a mother's allegations her children were being abused by their father and his opinions that there is "nothing wrong with paedophilia, incestuous or not."[3]  Much like mental illness labels—personality disorders and schizophrenia—frequently replace accepting the truth about the pandemic reality of relational violence within adult-child relationships and the normal duress response these ordeals create." http://www.ritualabusetorture.org/satanic.pdf

Asia Times June 13, 2003 US turns to the Taliban  By Syed Saleem Shahzad
US turns to the Taliban By Syed Saleem Shahzad  KARACHI - Such is the deteriorating security situation in Afghanistan, compounded by the return to the country of a large number of former Afghan communist refugees, that United States and Pakistani intelligence officials have met with Taliban leaders in an effort to devise a political solution to prevent the country from being further ripped apart.

The backdrop to the first meeting is an ever-increasing escalation in the guerrilla war being waged against foreign troops in Afghanistan. Small hit-and-run attacks are a daily feature in most parts of the country, while face-to-face skirmishes are common in the former Taliban stronghold around Kandahar in the south.  According to people familiar with Afghan resistance movements, the one that has emerged over the past year and a half since the fall of the Taliban is about four times as strong as the movement that opposed Soviet invaders for nearly a decade starting in 1979. The key reason for this is that the previous Taliban government - which is dispersed almost intact in the country after capitulating to advancing Northern Alliance forces without a fight - is backed by the most powerful force in Afghanistan: clerics and religious students.

Arsenal Uncovered
Suspect Linked to Extremist Movement

by Winston Smith

-

Los Angeles - A joint task force of federal agents and state police
raided the home of a Santa Monica man Saturday, uncovering an arsenal
of illegal books and other media.

"It's astounding," said Police Chief John Lynch at a press conference
Tuesday. "I've never seen so many books in my life. It was a virtual
library."

Chief Lynch described a entire room filled wall to wall with books
and magazines. In one room officers discovered a computer, printer
and thousands of pages of printing paper. The discovery of the
computer-printer setup prompted evacuation of the neighborhood while
EOD teams rendered the device inactive.

Officers and federal agents stood in front of stacks of seized books
and magazines at Tuesday's press conference. A leather bound 1400
page copy of War and Peace was the centerpiece of the exhibit. Among
the books on display were military field manuals and books on
military history.

"These military-style books are instruments of war, plain and
simple," said Special Agent Gregory Kahn. "They have no recreational
purpose. They have no legitimate civilian use."

"We're still counting them - we have no idea how many books we're
dealing with," said Detective-Sergeant Gary Knowles, another member
of the task force. "I'm just glad we got them off the street. Nobody
needs that many books. It's scary the kind of stuff people have in
their homes."

On Monday, agents wearing space-age HAZMAT suits were still removing
books from the house. Asked what would become of the contraband,
Agent Kahn stated that it would be destroyed in a specially built
incinerator.

The suspect, 43 year old John Benjamin, is being held without bail
pending charges. His arraignment is scheduled for next month.

Neighbors and co-workers described a quiet, polite man.

"I'd never suspect him of something like this," said community
resident Charles Lamb. "He was always so nice. This is a complete
shock."

Sources close to the investigation tell the Times that Benjamin has
been linked to the controversial National Reading Association, an
extremist group which encourages private possession of literature.
The ACLU believes that the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution
guarantees the right to read and print literature. The Times was
unable to obtain a copy of the Constitution for this article, but is
submitting a Freedom of Information Act request to access the
document.

Terrorism expert and author Brian Simmons told the Times that groups
such as the ACLU are magnets for disturbed individuals like Benjamin.

"This interpretation of the Constitution is very common among the
political fringes," said Mr. Simmons. "But history just isn't on
their side. The First Amendment was intended to protect the right of
major newspapers and libraries. It's absurd to think that they [the
framers] would have wanted private possession of word processing
software and home printers."

Book collectors like Benjamin, Simmons said, suffer from a deep
rooted psychological neurosis which drives them to stockpile books.

"Who needs this many books? He couldn't possibly read them all.
People like Mr. Benjamin do it because they feel inadequate. Reading
makes them feel smarter, and publishing their thoughts makes them
feel important."

Raids of this type have sparked a nationwide debate over the millions
unregistered books possessed illegally in the U.S. Under U.S. law,
only deactivated and replica books are available to the general
public, though in some places they are legal for retired librarians
and journalists. Until last year, books printed before 1986 could
still be legally possessed by someone willing to submit to a
background check and pay a $200 per book, per year tax.

One of Benjamin's neighbors, retired army Colonel Vince Scott,
questioned the wisdom of book prohibition.

"When I was a kid, everyone owned a book, most people more than one,"
said Scott. "There were book stores on every corner. You could even
go to a library and they'd give you a book."
