Media in Bed with Gays (Homosexuals)
By Cliff Kincaid
December 10, 2003

The Washington Post said it didn't want to generate a truckload of indignant
letters, but it nevertheless tried to compare opposition to homosexual marriage to
old laws against blacks getting married to whites. For the Post, opposing the gay
agenda is tantamount to racism. The New York Times endorsed homosexual marriage as
well, saying any attempt to amend the constitution to prohibit the practice would be
an effort to deny minority rights.

On the same day these editorials appeared, the Centers for Disease Control, CDC,
revealed that the syphilis rate in the United States rose in 2002 for the second
consecutive year, following a decade-long decline that led to an all-time low in 2000.
It said the increase was due in large part to increases in reported syphilis cases
among men, particularly gay and bisexual men. Syphilis can cause serious heart
abnormalities, mental disorders, blindness, other neurological problems, and death.

Last July the CDC reported that data from 25 states with longstanding HIV reporting
show the number of new HIV diagnoses among homosexual and bisexual men increased by
7.1 percent, from 2001 to 2002. The CDC said this indicated that homosexuals remain
at high, and perhaps increasing, risk for HIV infection. It said that, HIV
diagnoses for gay and bisexual men have increased by 17.7 percent since the lowest
point in 1999 but that new HIV cases in other vulnerable groups have remained stable
since 2001.

In order to keep the media from focusing on that kind of information, the Gay
Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, GLAAD, has produced a resource kit for the
media. It wants homosexuals presented as normal people and warns the media against
running film clips of outrageous gay pride parades or footage shot inside gay bars
and clubs. In making the case for homosexual marriage, GLAAD suggests looking at how
newspapers are increasingly accepting announcements for same-sex weddings or unions.

The Post and the Times, two of those papers, were undoubtedly among the media referred
to by Timothy Dailey of the Family Research Council when he wrote about how Hollywood
and the media relentlessly propagate the image of the fit, healthy, and well-adjusted
homosexual. Dailey said that the Homosexual activists attempt to portray their
lifestyle as normal and healthy, and insist that homosexual relationships are the
equivalent in every way to their heterosexual counterparts.

But the reality is quite different. Citing government studies and reports in gay
papers themselves, Dailey writes that, Instability and promiscuity typically
characterize homosexual relationships. These two factors increase the incidence of
serious and incurable STDs. Commenting on Dailey's research and study, Robert Knight
of the Culture and Family Institute said that, Nobody could think about homosexuality
as something normal and healthy after reviewing this. Of course, the major media will
do their best to ignore it. GLAAD will make sure of that.

The article below illustrates the level of psychosis --
separation from reality -- of some religious fundamentalists.
They perceive as vermin people who believe and act differently
from themselves, even though those people are not doing any
harm. This because they have been programmed with a religious
book written many thousands of years ago by largely ignorant
and hostile nomadic tribesmen.

By labelling homosexual people as vermin, the fundamentalists
are giving orders to their followers to attack and murder them,
just as the Nazis described Jews as vermin prior to their
extermination program.

Furthermore, while castigating gay and bisexual men for
promiscuity leading to the transmission of diseases, the
fundamentalists are fiercely opposed to allowing them to marry,
which, of course, would lead to a *decrease* in promiscuity!

The essence of fundamentalism is to believe what one is told
by the leaders, and to steadfastly ignore all contradictions
with reality.

In other words, fundamentalists must reject reason.
They must refuse to think.

CBS 11 Investigates Poison Gas Plot

Federal authorities this year mounted one of the most extensive
investigations of domestic terrorism since the Oklahoma City bombing,
CBS 11 has learned.

Three people linked to white supremacist and anti-government groups
are in custody. At least one weapon of mass destruction - a sodium
cyanide bomb capable of delivering a deadly gas cloud - has been
seized in the Tyler area.

Investigators have seized at least 100 other bombs, bomb components,
machine guns, 500,000 rounds of ammunition and chemical agents. But
the government also found some chilling personal documents indicating
that unknown co-conspirators may still be free to carry out what
appeared to be an advanced plot. And, authorities familiar with the
case say more potentially deadly cyanide bombs may be in circulation.

A FUSION OF DELUSION

By Paul Proctor

December 11, 2003

There is a fusion of delusion underway in America right now that
urgently needs addressing, not only because of the relationship and
direction of each troubling element but more importantly because of
the calamitous consequences we will be forced to face as they morph
and merge into a Perfect Storm.

Delusion # 1 – Freedom

As I write this column under the ever-fading protection of the 1st
amendment, our Constitution is increasingly being re-interpreted
(ignored) by judges and politicians to pursue a global agenda – an
agenda that says my rights as an America citizen are not really all
that inalienable and under certain circumstances, can and will be
taken away as needed, under the authority of something sarcastically
called The Patriot Act, resulting in a conditional liberty or
situational freedom, not unlike that of a paroled prisoner.

The fragility of our inalienable rights was underscored about a
week before our nation's families gathered around their turkeys and
televisions to give thanks to a higher power for our many
indulgences, when Newsmax.com reported that General Tommy Franks, who
successfully led the U.S. military operation in Iraq, told the men's
lifestyle magazine, Cigar Aficionado …if the United States is hit
with a weapon of mass destruction that inflicts large casualties, the
Constitution will likely be discarded in favor of a military form of
government, adding that if terrorists succeeded in using a weapon
of mass destruction (WMD) against the U.S. or one of our allies, it
would likely have catastrophic consequences for our cherished
republican form of government…If that happens, Franks said...the
Western world, the free world, loses what it cherishes most, and that
is freedom and liberty we've seen for a couple of hundred years in
this grand experiment that we call democracy. (Funny, even in the
general's remarks our republic is reduced to a democracy.)

So, it seems that in order to protect our precious freedom, it is
expedient that it be quietly and continually diminished or, if
necessary, taken from us altogether for our own patriotic good.
Imagine robbers, thieves and burglars using that line of reasoning to
defend themselves in a court of law. Your Honor, I stole that man's
possessions in order to keep them safe and secure for him. But, I
suppose as long as our lavish eating, drinking, shopping and
entertainment habits go uninterrupted, no one will notice the loss –
or even care, for that matter – which brings me to Delusion #2.

Delusion #2 – Prosperity

In the midst of our recovering economy, Wal-Mart, the nation's
largest retailer, noticed in November that their record-setting sales
plummeted straight down between the 14th and 16th of each month,
revealing that their customers are, for all intents and purposes,
broke between those two specific dates – unable to buy, right before
payday, even the most basic of items like toothpaste and toilet
paper, due to, in their estimation, an enormous number of recently-
acquired low -interest home mortgages and car loans that have
stretched everyone to their financial limits. In other words, their
customers were successfully seduced into over-extending themselves
with attractively low monthly payments for big-ticket items and are
now, in all their simulated-opulence, only one paycheck away from
abject poverty. This would help explain the Associated Press' report
on November 14th regarding a record number of new personal
bankruptcies being filed – rising, in a 12-month period ending
September 30th at a rate of 7.8 percent – a little-known fact that
the recovering economy cheerleaders don't want you to know.

The price of precious metals does not rise frequently and
substantially when things are going well economically

Maureen Farrell: 'This is your brain on propaganda'
Posted on Thursday, December 11 @ 10:19:15 EST

By Maureen Farrell, BuzzFlash
http://www.smirkingchimp.com/article.php?sid=14116mode=nestedorder=0

Last January, a group of prominent business leaders bought an advertisement
in the Wall Street Journal and, in an open letter to George W. Bush,
reacted to the impending war. The candidate we supported in 2000 promised
a more humble nation in our dealings with the world, they wrote. We gave
him our votes and our campaign contributions. That candidate was you. We
feel betrayed. We want our money back. We want our country back.

Deeming war the most extreme action a society can take which can only be
unleashed after exploring every other road, these traditional
conservatives chided Bush on several fronts. You have not explored all the
roads, they continued. A billion bitter enemies will rise out of this war.

Most prescient were their warnings about postwar Iraq. Our jaws drop when
we read that you may decide we have to occupy Iraq for years, that the next
ruler of Iraq may be ... an American general! they wrote. Is there anyone
who thinks that will work? Your odds of success are infinitesimal! The
world wants Saddam Hussein disarmed. But you must find a better way to do
it. Why would you lead us into a situation where we are bound to fail?
[AnitaRoddick.com]

This ad was but a blip in a torrent of conservative opposition to the war
-- an opposition that the mass media relentlessly painted as the province
of the far left fringe. The ad was also one of many sources I sent to an
acquaintance, in a rather pointless attempt to convince her that opposition
to the war went beyond, as she persistently argued, the distorted rants of
socialist Saddam lovers. Nevertheless, she insisted on framing
conversations with liberals think this way and Democrats think that way
and before long, I realized that she was clinging to a media-manufactured
reality. To me, a liberated Iraq means another place to visit with my
husband when my kids go to camp in the summer, she wrote. I will spend
lots of his money on souvenirs, thus helping their economy.

It's one thing to have sound disagreements based upon philosophical
differences, varied perceptions and alternate interpretations of events,
it's another to unquestionably drink in the official story. How do
otherwise intelligent people readily buy into such garbage? Is there a sea
of vacant-eyed Stepford Citizens out there, just waiting to buy trinkets
and knickknacks at the Baghdad Wal-mart? [BuzzFlash.com]

While it's fascinating to mark the propaganda which creates such illusions,
it's even more interesting to observe the end result. Following months of
White House innuendo and media manipulation, for example, a whopping 70% of
all Americans believed that Saddam was tied to Sept. 11, even though no
such claims were directly or officially made. And while polls offer
stunning proof of the effectiveness of America's sophisticated propaganda
techniques, Internet message boards and Web logs provide another glimpse --
and without fail, it seems that the zombies who drone on and on about
Truth, Justice and the American Way are those most likely to undermine all
three.

Of course, propaganda from both the right and the left serves to advance
political aims and agendas and has nothing whatsoever to do with Truth, but
in light of recent cries for honor and integrity, and the oft-repeated
question, Where is the outrage? some right-leaning pundits -- and those
who parrot them -- have taken hypocrisy to new heights.

Take for instance, reaction to Paul Krugman's recent article, Hacking the
Vote [New York Times] Posted on the Guardian Unlimited Talk (GUT)

[CTRL] Israel To Block Religious Intolerance Condemnation

2003-12-12 Thread William Shannon
-Caveat Lector-
http://www.ireland.com/newspaper/front/2003/1212/3151954265HM1MOTION.html

Israel to block Irish UN religion motion

Israel is to try to block Ireland's annual UN resolution condemning religious intolerance, because it does not include a specific condemnation of anti-Semitism, writes Conor O'Clery, in New York

"As a reaction to the total failure of the UN to deal with anti-Semitism, Israel will abstain on the resolution, thereby forcing the Irish Ambassador to withdraw their resolution," Israel's ambassador to the UN, Mr Dan Gillerman, said in yesterday's Jerusalem Post.

However, diplomats at the UN said the resolution was approved by consensus last month by a pre-general assembly body, known as the 3rd Committee of the UN, and therefore no longer belonged to Ireland.

The motion is scheduled to go to the 191-member general assembly for approval, also by consensus, before the current session ends on December 16th. If Israel withholds support, the consensus will not be achieved.

Ireland, which has sponsored the resolution for 20 years, declined Israel's request this year to include a condemnation of anti-Semitism, on the grounds that it would lead to the perception of a hierarchy of religious intolerance and detract from the resolution's universal scope.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Cowen, instead promised Israel's Foreign Minister, Mr Silvan Shalom, that Ireland would put forward a separate anti-Semitism resolution.

Ireland obtained sponsorship from the EU and several other countries for such a resolution but withdrew it last week after Arab and Muslim states demanded changes.

"Unfortunately it did not prove possible to sway the wider membership of the assembly, notwithstanding a willingness on the part of Ireland and the other sponsors to introduce balancing language containing condemnation of anti-Semitism and anti-Arabism," said Mr Damien Cole, Irish mission spokesman, in a letter to the Wall Street Journal.

US Treasuries slip, foreign central banks shy away

NEW YORK, Dec. 11 (Reuters) -- Treasuries prices were
knocked lower on Thursday after an auction of new U.S.
government debt attracted disappointing demand,
including from foreign central banks.

Indirect bidders, which include foreign central banks,
picked up just 24 percent of the issue, way below last
month's 38 percent and off the 29 percent average of the
last four sales. Traders had been hoping for stronger
demand given some offshore central banks were thought
to be buying dollars to fight an export-damaging rise in
their currencies.

The sale of $12 billion in reopened 10-year Treasury notes
went at a higher-than-expected yield of 4.365 percent and
drew bids for 1.78 times the amount on offer, short of the
1.84 average of the other sales this year.

The current 10-year note eased 5/32 in price, taking yields
to 4.34 percent from 4.32 percent late on Wednesday. In
when-issued trading, the new 10-year paper had been
yielding 4.34 percent just before the sale.

Cannibals rife, court told

"We are talking about dentists, teachers, cooks, government officials..."

By Luke HardingBerlinDecember 10, 2003

The detective who investigated Germany's infamous cannibal case has told a court that he discovered the nation had a vast cannibal scene involving several dentists and other professionals.

Giving evidence at the trial of Armin Meiwes, a 42-year-old computer expert who killed and ate another man, federal investigator Wilfried Fehl said the gruesome case was not isolated.

His officers had discovered a flourishing cannibal scene in Germany, he said, involving middle-class professionals, as well as manual workers. "We are talking about dentists, teachers, cooks, government officials and handymen," he told the court, during the second day of Meiwes' trial for murder.

"These are people who come from the middle reaches of society." However, Mr Fehl said that detectives had been unable to track down any more cannibal victims, after the arrest of Meiwes last December.

Meiwes's act was "a thing" that was "practically unimaginable" even for "experienced criminologists" like him, he admitted. "It leads us to where thinking stops," he said.
Earlier, the court heard how on March 10, 2001, Meiwes stabbed, fried and ate Bernd Brandes, a 43-year-old Berlin engineer he met through the internet.
Mr Brandes went to Meiwes's rambling farmhouse in the German town of Rotenburg after answering an advertisement requesting "people for slaughter".
Before the killing, he agreed to have his penis cut off - which both men tried to eat.
Yesterday a relaxed, smiling Meiwes said that it was wrong to describe his crime as murder since his victim had agreed in advance to being killed.
He was merely guilty of "mercy killing" or "assisted suicide".

"I accept this is taboo. But I can justify what I did to God and the world," he said.
The computer expert said his biggest regret was that he hadn't got to know his victim better before stabbing him to death in the early hours of the morning.
Meiwes's act was... 'practically unimaginable... It leads us to where thinking stops'."I didn't want to kill or hurt anybody," he said.

After his arrest, detectives discovered an email from Meiwes to a friend, in which he confessed he hoped to find another "victim" soon - because "flesh is everything".
A detective who interviewed Meiwes after he was caught said he appeared to be have few regrets and was proud of his crime.

"He was happy to be able to tell someone his story," the detective said.
Yesterday, judge Volker Mutze ordered the media and public to leave court so that a gruesome video made by Meiwes of the killing could be shown.

The court was told that the video, lasting four-and-a-half hours, showed the mutilation, death and slaughter of the victim, as well as a sexual offence.

Finishing his testimony yesterday, Meiwes pointed out that after stabbing Mr Brandes he hadn't killed anybody else. He added, however: "I would have done, though, if the opportunity had presented itself."

The trial continues.

[CTRL] Hey, William Kristol - Hit the Road, Warmonger!

Hey, William Kristol -
'Hit the Road, Warmonger!'
By William Hughes
12-12 03

Just who is William Kristol? He's a Neocon, Chicken Hawk, TV Talking Head, Israeli Firster and unrepentant warmonger. I saw him speak at a pro-Iraq War rally, held on the nation's Mall, in Washington, DC, on April 12, 2003, just weeks after the Bush-Cheney Gang unleashed the dogs of war in Iraq.

I was standing in front of a woman at that event and overheard her say of Kristol, "Oh, look how small he is!" The rally was headlined by the convicted felon, G. Gordon Liddy. It was kind of a surreal gig, since the comedian Ben Stein also surfaced on a huge movie screen. Stein wasn't funny at all that day. He was out in LA, urging the flag-waving DC-based crowd, as did Kristol, to support the Iraq War. Kristol, however, didn't want the U.S. invasion to stop at Iraq. He insisted in his inflammatory remarks that there were other Muslim countries that George W. Bush should also target for mayhem.

On another scary level- -and I know this sounds impossible- -it seems that Kristol's mug is embedded in my TV set! He is ubiquitous! When he is on TV or cable, I quickly reach for my remote, but mostly to no avail. It's like he has this uncanny ability to appear at once on all of the news/talk programs, particularly on Rupert Murdock's "Foxy News" network. However, this isn't all bad. If Kristol is hogging up the tube, it does mean that the Mother of all the Neocons, Richard Perle, is being denied air time.

Maybe, because of Kristol's harsh rhetoric, you might suspect that he is going to be bigger in person, like say a Rush Limbaugh. Instead, Kristol fits more into the bantamweight mold of actor Mickey Rooney. (Oh, by the way, Limbaugh was supposed to also speak at the rally. Sadly, he was a no show. He probably couldn't get the "medicine" he needed to get himself "up" to travel to DC from that luxurious, $24 million, oceanside Florida mansion of his. Too bad, his "Ditto Heads" were visibly disappointed.)

Nevertheless, the truly amazing thing about Kristol from my perspective is this: He never seems to demonstrate any real feelings or visible compassion for his subject matter. None! I have never seen him show any genuine human emotion. I suspect that if there were a machine that could accurately record the true feelings of a speaker, Kristol's political rants would score zero, or even, possibly, in the minus-zero category.

America's soldiers, who are serving and dying in Iraq appear to mean little or nothing to Kristol. They are just a "commodity" to be used by him, like our Republic is, to push forward his more wars in the Middle East agenda. It seems he doesn't see the Iraqi people as human beings either, and forget about the Palestinians. The late, Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir hatefully barked that the Palestinians "never existed." Kristol acts the same way towards them. The next time he appears on TV, watch him very closely. He reminds me of "HAL," the computer from the space film "2001," with no soul, heart or feelings.

Then, there is this issue of a lack of media accountability. Kristol has been one of the most rabid cheerleaders for the U.S.-led war against Iraq. He wrongly claimed, like so many of his Neocon cronies, that Iraq had WMD, ties to al Qaeda, and that "exporting democracy" to it would be a walk in the park. Yet, he has never been called to account for his asinine opinions, that have put so many brave Americans and our fading national treasury at risk. It's like all his idiocies go down a convenient Memory Hole. Kristol can say anything he wants. If he wrong, it's forgotten! Sooner or later, he has to be right about something. It's the law of averages. Then, when he is, I suppose he will be acclaimed as a prophet, and awarded a dubious journalism prize, (probably named after that Arab-bashing hack, A.M. Rosenthal). It is all just so painful and insidious.

The other day, Kristol had another predictable spiel in Murdock's rag, the "NY Post," (12/10/03). It was entitled, "How Dean Could Win." Of course, Kristol doesn't want Howard Dean, a Democrat, to win. He favors the reelection of Bush. His point was that unless the president is really "committed to victory" in Iraq, he could lose the next election to Dean.

Kristol was all in a tizzy about what he labeled, a secretary of state (read Colin Powell) that is looking for "diplomatic compromise," and a secretary of defense (try Donald Rumsfeld), that is fixated "to an odd kind of muscle-flexing disengagement." It also bothered the armchair warrior, that Bush's chief of staff, Andrew H. Card, had made a recent statement about the Iraq War that indicated he, too, wasn't quite bloodthirsty enough about pursuing the immoral conflict. Poor, frustrated zealot, Kristol!

In one of the ancient Greek colonies, if a lawmaker proposed a new law, a noose was tied around his neck. If the bill didn't

Reality Media
Michael Jackson, Bush and Iraq
By SAUL LANDAU

http://www.counterpunch.org/landau12062003.html

He said getting the job done, my friend complained, referring to
George W. Bush's determination to keep a US presence in
Iraq. That pisses me off, he said. He's never had a real job in
his life and he hasn't defined this job. He swore he wouldn't
undertake nation building. If he's combating terrorism, he won't
finish that job. Or did some speech writers figure out that cliches
like that set the stage for this piece of flotsam's re-election
bid?

What do you really think of him, I asked?

Bush is an insert, he replied, a reappearing figure in photo ops.
He's standing beside Queen Elizabeth, playing dress up in a jump
suit on the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln and hugging a woman
whose home has burned down in the California fires. His handlers
have spun him as the positive equivalent of Michael Jackson in
handcuffs or OJ Simpson driving his Bronco on the LA freeways. The
White House manipulators have integrated his media persona--does he
have a political one? --into the hideous world of gossip. This has
nothing to do with politics. It's meant to distract people from
thinking about the world and get them focused on who poked who.

As if to illustrate my friend's thesis, on November 20, ABC Radio
News announced it had to interrupt its programming for an important
breaking story. The live on the scene reporter spoke with urgency
about the intimate details of Michael Jackson's Gulf Stream Lear
jet landing at the Santa Barbara airport. Excitement fills the air
as the plane taxis toward a hangar where sheriff's department
personnel await the arrival of the famous pop singer. They will
arrest him on charges of child molestation...

Meanwhile, in London, another media celebrity, Bush, acknowledged--
or dismissed -- the 150,000 plus people who had gathered to protest
against him and his policies. Using his childish, elf-like
expression, he made short shrift of massive disapproval as he had
done previously in February 2003, likening the worldwide protests of
millions against the Iraq war to a focus group.

The tradition of free speech exercised with enthusiasm is alive and
well here in London, he cavalierly announced. We have that at home
too. They now have that right in Baghdad as well.

Evidently, he had not read a November 11, 2003, Reuters story from
Iraq. American soldiers handcuffed and firmly wrapped masking tape
around an Iraqi man's mouth after they arrested him for speaking out
against occupation troops. The story quotes the US commanding
officer on Tahrir Square, the arrest scene that `this man has been
detained for making anti-coalition statements.

Reporters had more immediate tasks than to reveal the dramatic
contradiction between what Bush said and the facts. After all, a
twelve year old boy had accused Michael Jackson. The enigmatic
African American singer with snow white skin had no intention of
distracting the public from its citizen duties, or turning upside
down reasonable notions of priorities.

Mind your own business, my father told me a thousand times,
meaning that when people had intimate relations in the privacy of
their bedrooms--or even the Oval Office--it did not relate to the
great decisions of our time. If Jackson broke the law, let him stand
trial, but the media acts as if compelled to inject the public
vicariously into the sordid sex life of celebrities. By doing so it
substitutes the virtual excitement of a TV news event like Jackson
or music mogul Phil Specter getting handcuffed, for the world of war
and peace where political morons like Bush direct our lives and
futures.

Tens of millions of viewers watched and then discussed the Jackson
episode, as CNN inter cut to Bush in London. In his November 19,
Whitehall Palace speech

While Howard Dean is a Northeastern liberal, he's no Michael Dukakis.
So says William Kristol of the Weekly Standard, writing in the Washington
Post about Dean's chances to win in 2004. In 1988, the former
Massachusetts governor lost to George H.W. Bush after being branded a
dreaded "Massachusetts liberal." By contrast, the media have labeled Dean
a "conservative" or "centrist" on some issues.
But the truth about Dean's embrace of the radical homosexual agenda
could put the former Vermont governor on the far, far left side of the
political spectrum, even beyond the liberalism of Dukakis.
For this reason, it's a safe bet that the liberal media will try their
best to keep this explosive story in the closet.
Oreste Valsangiacomo Sr., a Democrat who served 30 years in the state
legislature, has written that Dean was a key member of a sophisticated
campaign that implemented the homosexual agenda in the state over a period
  of many years.
Equally significant, Dean strongly supported Outright Vermont, a group
luring young people into homosexuality. Dean met with its leaders and
sponsored state funding of the group. What's more, Dean appointed
homosexual Bill Lippert, Outright's founder, as a state representative in
July 1994 to fill a vacancy in the legislature.
As detailed in a letter to the Rutland (Vermont) Herald, Valsangiacomo
said that the strategy continued to unfold when Lippert was appointed as
vice chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and helped produce the
legislation recognizing homosexual "civil unions" and granting marriage
benefits to these "couples." Dean went behind closed doors to sign it,
keeping the date and time of the signing a secret from legislators and the
press. Dean and Lippert would embrace in victory. It was the first such
  bill in the nation.
Meanwhile, Outright, which received state money under Dean to conduct
"diversity workshops" in schools, came under fire for homosexual advocacy.
State Rep. Carl Haas said that voters in Vermont regarded this matter as
even more troubling than homosexual unions. He was quoted in the Rutland
Herald as saying, "What people were really concerned about was that we had
people going into the schools sanctioning homosexuality."
In a column almost two years ago, Stanley Kurtz of the Hudson Institute
said he also found "growing alarm" about Outright Vermont during a visit
to Dean's state. He found notices on bulletin boards in a high school for
the school's gay-straight alliance advising students to go to a website
that directed them to "homosexual pornography."
Going beyond homosexuality, the March 2003 issue of Outright Vermont's
newsletter features an article about a Vermont youth who enjoyed attending
a "True Spirit Conference" held in Washington in February and meeting
people known as FTMs. These have undergone "female-to-male" physical
experiences that involve surgery to remove breasts and the taking of
hormones and testosterone. The conference featured "chest reconstruction
surgery" and "chest surgery show and tell" workshops.
Under Dean's tenure, Outright Vermont received state funding from the
Vermont Department of Health and additional funds from the Ben
Jerry's Foundation and the Samara Foundation of Vermont. Lippert serves as
the executive director of the Samara Foundation, in addition to continuing
  to serve in the legislature.
Valsangiacomo told me that he won't talk in detail about Dean's
pro-homosexual agenda and the secret meetings he held to make it a reality
in Vermont until the former governor wraps up the Democratic nomination.
He did say that he is strongly supporting President Bush's re-election.
But in that letter in the Rutland Herald, he traced the pro-homosexual
campaign to a private Nov. 7, 1993 meeting of 12 Democrats and several
homosexuals at the home of the chair of the state Democratic Party
committee. He maintains it actually went back further, noting that Playboy
ran a 1972 article, "Taking Over Vermont," about a "blueprint" by two Yale
  University activists for homosexuals and

Mental Health Experts Call Sniper Defendant Brainwashed By James Dao 12/11/03 Chesapeake, Va. "The experts have likened him to a child soldier and cult member. They said he was clinically depressed, even suicidal. They concluded he had lost touch with his identity and could not differentiate right from wrong. But was Lee Malvo, the younger defendant in the sniper attacks in the Washington area, legally insane when he took part in the rampage? A host of mental health experts for the defense have offered evidence that he was, asserting that Mr. Malvo was effectively brainwashed by John A. Muhammad, the convicted mastermind of the killings, into participating in the shootings. By trying to equate brainwashing with mental illness, Mr. Malvo's lawyers have pushed the boundaries of the insanity defense into a gray area where precedents are few and obstacles to winning an acquittal are high, legal experts said." http://www.nytimes.com/2003/12/11/national/11MALV.html?ex=1072135248ei=1en=05aee7be14abbe4a

AP: Iraq to Stop Counting Civilian Dead
Wed Dec 10, 2:17 PM ET By NIKO PRICE, Associated Press Writer
BAGHDAD, Iraq - Iraqi Health Ministry officials ordered a halt to a count of civilian casualties from the war and told workers not to release figures already compiled, the head of the ministry's statistics department told The Associated Press on Wednesday
, the Health Ministry's civilian death toll count had been reported by news media as early as August, and the count was widely anticipated by human rights organizations. The ministry issued a preliminary figure of 1,764 deaths during the summer.

Cluster bombs kill in Iraq, even after shooting ends By Paul Wiseman, USA TODAY
BAGHDAD The little canisters dropped onto the city, white ribbons trailing behind. They clattered into streets, landed in lemon trees, rattled around on roofs, settled onto lawns.
Cluster bomb: A bomb that contains dozens or hundreds of small explosives and is dropped by aircraft.
A four-month examination by USA TODAY of how cluster bombs were used in the Iraq war found dozens of deaths that were unintended but predictable. Although U.S. forces sought to limit what they call "collateral damage" in the Iraq campaign, they defied international criticism and used nearly 10,800 cluster weapons; their British allies used almost 2,200. The bomblets packed inside these weapons wiped out Iraqi troop formations and silenced Iraqi artillery. They also killed civilians. These unintentional deaths added to the hostility that has complicated the U.S. occupation. One anti-war group calculates that cluster weapons killed as many as 372 Iraqi civilians. The numbers are impossible to verify: Iraqi hospital records are incomplete, and many Iraqi families buried their dead without reporting their deaths.

Chief Stewart Phillip of the Penticton Indian Band. Our

Pardon me for truncating the press release but people on the Internet like

This is historical fact and it stands in law and justice as a current
reality. Premier Campbell has denied it and has expressed that denial in
an email and other ways. Perhaps Prime Minister Martin can set the matter
straight when he is subpoened. A BC First Nation should be received by the

News and special interest mailings are sub-dividing
voters into two doctrinaire camps so that stereotypical
handles can be pulled--two camps where the people
in each can't refuse to vote one way or the other on
select issues. Last time we had Dumb and Dumber
bookends, what will it be this time?

One possible goal is to form two roughly equal
voting pools, Demican and Repocrat, the other
is to make one candidate a guaranteed no-win.

A third feature of this approach is guaranteeing
that the foreground is dominated by stereotypical
boilerplate, not news, not history, not the real
scandals or the real-people issues that would
bridge rather than divide as far as real people.

Subtle, sophisticated social engineering of classwar
according to a principle of divided house is a no-win
for real people and a win for corporate and bureaucratic
trojans and the oligarchy screened and represented by
those proxies.

I get stereotypical boilerplate in the mail and view it
in terms of "can't say no" control handles, and I know
somebody else is seeing the flip side, and we're supposed
to cancel each other out without thinking of the issues
that preoccupy me before the mail arrives.

Howard Dean's experiments on children

While Howard Dean is a Northeastern liberal, he's no Michael
Dukakis. So says William Kristol of the Weekly Standard, writing in the
Washington Post about Dean's chances to win in 2004. In 1988, the
former Massachusetts governor lost to George H.W. Bush after being
branded a dreaded "Massachusetts liberal." By contrast, the media have
labeled Dean a "conservative" or "centrist" on some issues.
But the truth about Dean's embrace of the radical homosexual
agenda could put the former Vermont governor on the far, far left side
of the political spectrum, even beyond the liberalism of Dukakis.
For this reason, it's a safe bet that the liberal media will
try their best to keep this explosive story in the closet.
Oreste Valsangiacomo Sr., a Democrat who served 30 years in
the state legislature, has written that Dean was a key member of a
sophisticated campaign that implemented the homosexual agenda in the
state over a period of many years.
Equally significant, Dean strongly supported Outright
Vermont, a group luring young people into homosexuality. Dean met with
its leaders and sponsored state funding of the group. What's more, Dean
appointed homosexual Bill Lippert, Outright's founder, as a state
representative in July 1994 to fill a vacancy in the legislature.
As detailed in a letter to the Rutland (Vermont) Herald,
Valsangiacomo said that the strategy continued to unfold when Lippert
was appointed as vice chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and
helped produce the legislation recognizing homosexual "civil unions"
and granting marriage benefits to these "couples." Dean went behind
closed doors to sign it, keeping the date and time of the signing a
secret from legislators and the press. Dean and Lippert would embrace
in victory. It was the first such bill in the nation.
Meanwhile, Outright, which received state money under Dean to
conduct "diversity workshops" in schools, came under fire for
homosexual advocacy. State Rep.
