Kerry position paper outlines support for Israel

WASHINGTON - In a position paper outlining his stance on Israel, Democratic
presidential candidate John Kerry promises not to negotiate with Yasser Arafat
and expresses support for Israel's right to defend itself by attacking terrorist
organizations.

The paper, entitled "John Kerry: Strengthening Israel's Security and Bolstering
the U.S.-Israel Special Relationship," was sent in mid-June to a group of people
in the Jewish community as part of the Kerry attempt to maintain contact with
Jewish supporters in the United States and to clarify his positions on Israel.

Kerry, who previously spoke against the separation fence at a gathering of the
Arab-American Institute, is now seeking to correct that impression: "The
security fence is a legitimate act of self-defense erected in response to the
wave of terror attacks against Israeli citizens."

The presumptive Democratic nominee also declares his opposition to transferring
debate on the fence to international forums. The paper shows consistent support
for Israel on all the issues at hand: Kerry backs Israel's disengagement plan
and also the two central points in President Bush's letter to Prime Minister
Sharon - the resettlement of Palestinian refugees in the Palestinian state, not
within Israel, and recognition of Jewish population concentrations in the West
Bank when establishing the permanent borders. "In light of demographic
realities, a number of settlement blocs will likely become a part of Israel,"
Kerry wrote his supporters.

He further declared support for Israel's actions against Hamas, Islamic Jihad
and other terror organizations and recalled that he was a signatory to the
motion of support for Israel passed by the Senate during Operation Defensive
Shield.

On the issue of Palestinian leadership, Kerry declared that "Yasser Arafat is a
failed leader and unfit partner for peace" and called for "his total isolation."
He thereby aligned himself with Bush administration policy, and in contrast to
former president Bill Clinton, who recently stated that despite his
disappointment with Arafat, negotiations should be conducted with him.

Kerry lists additional issues on which he supports Israel: the battle against
cutting foreign aid to Israel; calling upon the United Nations to evince a more
balanced approach to the conflict; support for moving the American embassy to
Jerusalem; international action against regimes that support terror; and
maintaining Israel's military supremacy.

Seeking to set himself apart from Bush on several issues, Kerry blasts Saudi
Arabia and promises to act against anti-Semitic statements by senior Saudi
government officials. "As president, he will never permit these kinds of attacks
to go unanswered," the paper promises.

Sources in his campaign said that the paper and other letters sent in recent
weeks to supporters in the Jewish community are intended "to educate and inform
on his views, so there will be no doubt about his support for the state of
Israel."

Israel slams mock fence set up by Danish aid group at rock festival

COPENHAGEN, Denmark - Israeli officials criticized a Danish aid group yeseterday
for erecting a plywood wall at one of Europe's largest music festivals to
protest the separation fence.

Israel's deputy chief of mission in Denmark, Ephraim Ben-Matityahu, said
DanChurchAid was making a political statement, and "it is a disservice to the
DCA to go and involve itself in such political activism."

"If it's political activism, fine, but don't call yourself an aid organization,"
Ben-Matityahu said.

But DanChurchAid spokesman Thomas Ravn-Pedersen said the fake barrier at the
Roskilde Festival was "a protest in line with objections made by the United
Nations and the European Union."

Some 75,000 tickets have been sold for the four-day festival, which began
yesterday. Those attending can sign their names on the fake barrier, which bears
the slogan "make peace, not walls."

The fake barrier bends at a 90-degree angle, and inside the bend there is a cafe
with leaflets containing information about the real barrier from an Israeli and
Palestinian point of view "so young people can find out what to think about it,"
Ravn-Pedersen said.

DanChurchAid is one of Denmark's largest non-governmental organizations with
activities in Central America, Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East -
including Israel and Lebanon.

Family demand answers from government over murdered son

ROBIN Wild from St Boswells is not your typical conspiracy theorist.


As chairman of the Scottish District Courts Association, he is effectively the most senior Justice of the Peace in the land and is currently engaged in high level negotiations with the Scottish Executive over sweeping plans to revamp summary justice. 

The 63-year-old is also a former chief dental officer for Scotland and England.
"Robin is one of the most rational and respected men you will ever meet," said one solicitor friend this week.

Yet Robin Wild has a conspiracy theory â and it is a big one.

He claims that, in the absence of any evidence to the contrary or a proper investigation by the Foreign Office, his journalist son Richard, 24, who was shot dead in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, may have been "taken out" by a hit man acting on behalf of coalition forces. 

As Monday's first anniversary of Richard's death approaches, Mr Wild has decided to "go public" with his claims in the hope that the truth finally discovered.
But he is not hopeful.

His son had gone to Iraq on June 20, 2003, in the hope of filing honest freelance reports to whoever would screen them.

He had already gained a reputation for being what government spin doctors pejoratively describe as "off message". 

Before leaving, he had worked on a Channel 4 documentary "The True Face of War" which featured evidence of atrocities by US soldiers against Iraqi civilians even although the conflict was officially over. It is also claimed major news organizations were scared of losing ratings by screening anything vaguely criticial of the coalition in the wake of September 11. 

But this did not register with Robin and Daphne Wild when they heard their beloved only son had been shot on a busy street outside Baghdad's Natural History Museum.
Consumed with grief, they accepted the Foreign Office explanation that Richard had been mistaken for an American soldier and shot by an unknown assailant who was part of any angry mob.

But in October, Robin Wild was contacted by Michael Burke, another "off-message" journalist who had worked with Richard in Baghdad.

Burke explained to Robin that Richard had been working for him as a cameraman and that he (Burke] was on the scene shortly after the shooting.

"The pair had gone to the British Office in the capital to report the killing, but they were told it was an army matter and did not even get through the door," explained Robin Wild.

Burke had spoken to eye witnesses who described how an Iraqi man, smartly dressed in white shirt and chinos, had been waiting for some time in a car outside the museum. When Richard emerged the man pulled a small pistol out of his picket, shot Richard in the back of the head and drove off. 

On his return to the Borders, Robin was sent a copy of a New Zealand newspaper article, written within a week of the murder, which quoted Mohammed Qassem, a guard at a nearby bomb shelter. There had been no angry mob and Qassem confirmed Burke's version of events.

"It had all the hallmarks of a contract killing," recalled Robin.

On November 24, six weeks after writing to Foreign Secretary Jack Straw, Robin received a reply offering "sincere condolences".

Mr Straw revealed no investigation into Richard's death had taken place.

"The Iraqi police and US military were severely limited in their ability to investigate crimes. I am sorry to say there is still no current capacity to investigate this death."
Through Burke, Robin Wild discovered more circumstantial evidence pointing to a contract killing.

Two subsequent cameraman working for Burke had "disappeared" without trace; in September, an Iraqi journalist Junis Kuthair, who had been investigating Richard's death, was picked up by US forces and thrown into the notorious Abu Ghraib prison and has been there ever since.

And Richard's laptop, which had been left in his will to his sister Rosemary, was stolen when her flat in Aberdeen was broken into. Although cash and jewellery was lying around, nothing else was taken.

Burke has told Robin Wild he believes the computer may have contained photographs of US army atrocities. "It is common knowledge that the CIA is very sensitive about photographs," said Robin.

A fortnight ago, Robin met with a senior Foreign Office official in London. "I showed her the copy of the New Zealand paper, but she said she would need confirmation from the journalist who wrote it. Chillingly, I was told that if my assassination theory was correct, then the Foreign Office would not tell us."

And he believes that although Richard was the first journalist to be killed after the official end of the war, the new Iraqi regime will have neither the time nor inclination to probe it. "The trail has run cold," he said.

Investigation Reveals: Bilderbergers Want Taxes Up, War in Iraq Over

Stresa, Italy-At this year's secret Bilderberg meeting, some of the world's most 
powerful elite focused on U.S. taxes and  foreign giveaways, as well as the 
increasingly violent Iraq occupation and the role the United Nations should play in 
all  future similar outbreaks of violence.

Prior to the meeting, a Bilderberg memo promised that its members would deal mainly 
with European-American relations and in  that context, with U.S politics, Iraq, the 
Middle East, European geopolitics, NATO, China, energy and economic problems.

During the conference, Britain came in for harsh criticism for supporting the invasion 
of Iraq. It was also lambasted for  failing to embrace the euro, despite Prime 
Minister Tony Blair's promise to do so at a Bilderberg meeting some years ago in  the 
Scottish resort of Turnberry.

Bilderberg members also expressed frustration with the rising clamor in Britain to 
quit the European Union.

As expected, the United States was heavily criticized for the fact that its foreign 
aid was a smaller percentage of gross  domestic product than that of other nations. 
That marked the third straight meeting at which Bilderbergers' decades of almost  
total congeniality was marred by hostility among the Americans, Britons and 
continental Europeans.

The first evidence of division in the ranks was apparent in 2002 when Bilderbergers 
met at Chantilly, Va., near Washington.  Then, Europeans were angry that the United 
Sates was preparing for an invasion of Iraq. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld  
tried to placate them with a promise not to invade "this year." Instead, the war began 
in March 2003.

Bilderbergers, however, remain united in their long-term goal to strengthen the role 
the UN plays in regulating global  relations. Aside from that objective, other matters 
on this year's conference agenda included the following:

• British elites are to press on with membership in the European Union despite growing 
domestic opposition.

• The Free Trade Area of the Americas should be enacted and include the entire Western 
Hemisphere except for Cuba until Fidel  Castro is gone. It should then evolve into the 
"American Union" as a carbon copy of the European Union.

• An "Asian-Pacific Union" is to emerge as the third great superstate, neatly dividing 
the world into three great regions for  the administrative convenience of banking and 
corporate elites. The United States and other international financial  institutions 
should facilitate and administrate these global trade pacts.

Bilderbergers have, for some time, argued for three global currencies-the euro for 
Europe, the dollar for the American Union  and another for the "Asian-Pacific Union."

One Bilderberger, Kenneth Clarke, a former chancellor of the British exchequer, saw 
the consolidation of currencies as an  ideal strategy when he spoke to this reporter 
several years ago in Portugal. At that time, Clarke told me that  "dollarization" 
would dominate the globe and "our children will laugh at all the

As we go out to celebrate our freedom this 4th of July, let's go over a few things to 
make your celebration a success.

Before leaving home make sure you check the color coded Homeland Security alert 
status. Be especially careful if it is orange or red.  Don't worry about yellow.  It's 
always yellow.

Check out the weekly Fear-Mongering Report, "Scare America", from Herr Ashcroft to 
find out what MIGHT get blown up, nuked, or biologically attacked this week.  And for 
heavens sakes stay away from the shopping malls they are always at the top of his 
warning list.

Be aware of your surroundings at all times.  New Yorkers, in particular, watch out for 
those pesky mushroom clouds.

Don't use any illegal fireworks in your 4th Celebration. It is for your own safety. 
And the founding father's implemented a government to protect you from yourselves. 
Didn't they? Besides, fireworks are explosive devices and you might be considered a 
terrorist with weapons of mass destruction.  And although the government can't find 
any in Iraq, you can rest assured they will find them in your car trunk.

But don't worry, getting arrested, imprisoned indefinitely without formal charges, and 
a 5 year wait before the secret tribunal star chamber trial per the Patriot Act is a 
breeze.  It's that secret summary execution that should make you nervous.
Worse yet you might be wisked to an overseas prison and find yourself at the very 
bottom of a naked Iraqi human pyramid pile as a photo op for some pathetic looking, 
skinny GI Dyke with a cigarette dangling out her mouth.
I would pray for the summary execution if I was you.

If you are an airline employee, lighten up for the holiday, you can always look for a 
job tomorrow. Maybe you could transfer over to a Federal Airport Security Screener 
job.  Big demand for those jobs and you don't have to be smart.  In fact they prefer 
total idiots.

If you are a Haliburton employee, then celebrate, you probably have a raise coming 
from the Iraqi contract windfall.

Don't mention God or Jesus if celebrating on any public property. Government is God 
there. You will be apprehended. But mentioning Allah is okay, because according to 
Bush, Allah is the same God as your Christian God.
Speaking of total Idiots.

Don't criticize the President or other government officials, you might be in violation 
of the Patriot Act and considered a possible terrorist.

Don't mention the Constitution in any district court or you could be held in contempt 
of court.

If your children get out of line this holiday, do not discipline them, or they may be 
kidnapped by the Dept. of Social Services and held hostage until you receive approved 
psychological therapy and are deemed acceptable.  Bring plenty of Ritalin for the kids.
When traveling in the car try not to have a conversation with your kids as you can be 
sure they didn't learn a damn thing this year in the government socialist 
indoctrination camps fondly known as the Public Fool System.  Trying to discuss any 
subject of real value will be met with the old "deer in the headlights" stare.

Show compassion this Independence Day by bringing an illegal immigrant to your 
celebration or by hugging a tree.  Or better yet, send a wedding gift to a newly 
"married"  homosexual couple.
(make sure you address the gift to Mr. and Mr. so-and-so.)

Have your papers ready as you approach the holiday police checkpoints.

Make sure you are buckled up in your seat belts, there will be roadblocks and 
checkpoints to make sure you comply. It is for the children.

If the officers ask to search your vehicle, do not be belligerent and demand a search 
warrant.  Do not go into a dissertation about your 4th Amendment Constitutional Right, 
it will only anger the officer, after all, you don't expect the officer to actually 
know the Constitution that he took an oath to uphold do you?  Standing up for your 
fourth amendment rights is anti-social and not in tune with the new American way.  Are 
you with Al Quada or something?  Submit. Submit. Submit.

Do not get upset when the searching officer will not help you pick up your belongings 
that he has strewn all over the highway as he searched your vehicle.  It is not in his 
job description and complaining will get you charged with obstructing justice.

Keep your guns at home.  You are not going hunting and besides, What on earth do guns 
have to do with American Independence?  Better yet, turn your guns into the 
authorities to let them know that you are a true patriotic American. Even though many 
more children a killed in swimming pools than with guns, we can't expect the 
government to confiscate swimming pools, can we?  Turn your gun in and shut up.

Israeli soldiers have shot two resistance fighters

The resistance movement Hamas has claimed that fighters from its military wing have surrounded a special Israeli occupation army unit inside a residential building in Gaza City. 

"Fighters from the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades have managed to surround a special Zionist unit inside a residential building ... in the Zaitun district of Gaza City," the group said in a statement on Thursday.

"Zionist planes (helicopters) opened fire on the area," it said. 

Mahmud Abu Jarad, who owns the building, confirmed to a local radio station that a gunfight had broken out between Israeli occupation troops and resistance fighters. 

Abu Jarad said his wife and children were in the building.

The army would not comment on the incident. However, Israeli military sources said troops had shot and either injured or killed two resistance fighters near Zaitun. 

"Troops at the Netzarim junction spotted three armed Palestinians who were preparing a shooting attack. They opened fire and identified two hits," the source said. 

The third fighter fled the area and a search was underway to locate him.

Independence Day is upon us. This July 4 we celebrate the 228th anniversary of
our independence from Britain and our birth as a free nation. We watch
fireworks, go to barbecues, go camping (at tax-funded state and national
parks), go to baseball games (in tax-funded stadiums) and hear endless talk
about how goldurned wonderful it is that we live in a free country.

Or do we live in a free country?

Consider the following.

In a free country, taxation would be well-nigh non-existent. You could keep
what you earned and you could spend, save, invest and donate as you saw fit.
You would have far more money with which to solve your own problems.

In a free country, there would not be 20,000-plus laws on the books infringing
-- and even denying -- the right of the people to keep and bear arms. Crime
would plummet as criminals would never know who was armed.

In a free country, you could educate your children as you saw fit, without
asking anyone's permission. You could home school you kids if you wanted.
Catholics could send their kids to the Our Lady of Mercy School; Baptists could
send their kids to the Obadiah Baptist School; Mormons could send their kids to
the Joseph Smith school; Muslims could send their kids to the Allah Akbar
School; believers in Mungabunga could send their kids to Mungabunga school. If
you are not spiritual, you could send your kids to the Whitney Houston
School--"Where the children are the future"--or to the Crosby, Stills, Nash &
Young School--"Where we teach your children well." Prayer, declining academic
standards, evolution, creation, condoms, gay curricula, busing, standardized
testing, bullying, discipline, dress codes and all the other debates
surrounding education today would cease to be social issues.

In a free country, businesses would not be crushed in a regulatory vise grip.
Millions of jobs would stay here in America rather than going to Honduras and
Bangladesh.

In a free country, the military would be used strictly for national defense. We
would not have troops in 135 countries. We would heed the Founders' advice and
steer clear of foreign alliances, which have been nothing but trouble anyway.
We would withdraw from the United Nations and all its subsidiary organizations.
Terrorism would cease to be a threat: When we stop throwing our weight around
"over there," hatred and resentment toward the United States will be far, far
less.

In a free country, we would not have the world's highest incarceration rate.

In a free country, jurors could judge not only the facts pertaining to a given
case, but also the law relevant to that case. If Juror Smith thought Defendant
Jones was being tried under a stupid law, Juror Smith could vote to acquit on
that basis and that basis alone. The prison population would plummet.

In a free country, the value of money would be tied to gold or silver. The
Federal Reserve Bank would be shut down. We would not see our savings and our
futures eroded by inflation. And we would not owe bazillions of dollars to
folks who already have bazillions of dollars.

In a free country, it would take neither a village nor a police state to raise
a child. Government would not act in loco parentis for an absentee Mommy and
Daddy. Parents would be responsible for raising their own children. Most of the
problems we have with kids today -- sex, drugs, violence -- would be greatly
minimized.

In a free country there would be no war on drugs. Drug profits and street crime
would plummet. It would not be the government's job to keep people off of
drugs. It would be the job of parents, churches, Mungabunga temples, etc. Back
when it was this way, there was almost no "drug problem" at all. (If the
Mungabunga people smoke that hooch in their rituals, they would be free to do
so without fear of DEA harassment.)

"Why hasnât The New York Times challenged the BBCâs cover-up of Sharonâs war crimes or vice versa? Why is CNN propagating the same canards as The Washington Post? Why is Rupert Murdoch allowed to slander the Palestinians on a daily basis without any concern that the âadultsâ in the mass media business will make fools of the degenerates who toil in FOXâs fib factories? How did it come to pass that so many English language journalists have been so wrong for so long?" 

You canât make this stuff up. A study by the Media Group at Scotland's Glasgow University recently reported that âmany people in Britain think the Palestinians are occupying Israeli territory and not the other way round and some think Palestinians are refugees from Afghanistan.â Well, that pretty much tells you everything you need to know about the truth and consequences of mass media journalism. 

James Read of the BBC wrote a commentary to explain the findings of the Glasgow study. He concluded that they resulted from a preponderance of official Israeli perspectives, a neglect to inform the public of the origins of the conflict and an emphasis on Israeli casualties. Like most of his colleagues, he also gave the standard mass media excuse for misleading the public: âIsraeli actions were contextualised but not Palestinian actions.â 

I donât mean to strain the imagination of the folks at the BBC, but why does one need âcontextâ to understand that Ariel Sharon is a career war criminal? Do the wizards at the BBC know how to google? Can they spare a BBC trainee for a few hours to research Qibya or Sabra and Shatila or Jenin or Rafah? Have they ever heard of Unit 101, a terrorist brigade led by Sharon and tasked with committing atrocities against the Palestinians in the 1950s?

The repression of the Palestinians would not be possible without willing enablers like the BBC and the FOX pundits who pollute the airwaves with their peculiar brand of Murdochracy. It takes an extraordinary amount of talent to twist the basic outlines of the Israeli/Palestinian narrative. It takes a mountain of spin to cover up the heaps of lies required to obscure a story that can be honestly explained to a child of ten in a matter of hours. It takes long torturous sessions with an unabridged Oxford dictionary to come up with enough weasel words to distort the true nature of the Palestinian struggle for liberty. 

This phenomenon can not be written off as a series of typing errors. History will show that mass media journalists in Britain and the United States deliberately conspired in a concerted effort to mislead the public. They collaborated in this venture with the full knowledge that their cowardly conduct might result in another Israeli bullet lodged in the skull of a Palestinian child. 

A little context for the BBC 

The Palestinian narrative is pretty straightforward. A small indigenous Eastern Mediterranean people of well established ancient pedigree were systematically uprooted from their native land to make room for Eastern European immigrants escaping religious and ethnic persecution in the âcivilized worldâ. The Palestinian peasants, shepherds and villagers who were targeted for ethnic cleansing were the descendents of the ancient wise men who gave the world the monotheistic theology that came to be known as the Abrahamic traditions. From their ranks came people like Jesus and his disciples. The inspirational wisdom of ancient Palestinian sages found resonance all over the planet and their native lands came to be known as the âHoly Landâ. 

Because their patrimony was coveted by so many over the ages, Palestine was frequently invaded. Ancient Egyptians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Crusaders, Turks and Napoleonâs armies all took turns lording over the natives of the Holy Land. Each of these imperial powers left their mark on the Palestinians. But none left a wound quite as deep as the one inflicted by the spear of the English. For the British did not come to occupy and tax the Palestinians. They came with a blue print to cleanse the Holy Land of its native population. His majestyâs imperial armies marched into Palestine with the explicit intent of coercing the indigenous inhabitants to vanish into the night.

Rethinking the American Mission

It is becoming clear to conservatives, neoconservatives and liberals in Washington, and to the majority of Americans outside the beltway, that George W. Bush's Iraq adventure is the wrong war at the wrong time.

This war brings America few advantages, and those few are shrinking in number. Not long ago, beneficiaries of the pretentious, pre-emptive Iraq invasion and occupation included neoconservatives who dreamed up an experiment in Muslim democracy achieved through Christian militarism and permanent military basing in Iraq. Neoconservatives of all persuasions were galvanized by a President who wanted a bumper sticker campaign slogan, revenge and managerial control over regional oil resources. The government of Israel, working for over forty years to contain and weaken Iraq as a back-door threat, was also thought of as a beneficiary of Saddam Hussein's ouster and the American occupation.

The Pentagon bureaucracy gained new funding and legal authority for new types of war strategies, while giving up none of the old funding, bases or equipment for which congressional districts clamor like so many hungry baby birds. Military weapons producers in the U.S., Israel, and elsewhere benefited as orders jumped and backorders accumulated. And despite the State Department's flawed report on terror, the Bush era's quantum increase in global terrorism means that all government agencies conducting offensive operations will be well-funded for years.

New four-star General George W. Casey, Jr. will report to Baghdad hoping to gain for the first time in his career the experience of commanding troops in combat. Is this on-the-job training or just another example of the Peter Principle at work in the administration? As in all wars fought for political fantasy, soldiers performing difficult tasks in treacherous, confusing environments are often ill-served by senior military apparatchiks.

USA, Inc. nervously unveils its Iraq "the Un-sovereign" line on June 30th. While the Iraqi resistance campaigns for a long-awaited liberation from the latest dictator, a sea change has already occurred in America.

Conservatives now realize that Bush is no conservative. Many, like the American Conservative Union's Don Devine, see him as a big-government spendthrift gone adrift without a strategy. They are also increasingly concerned about Dick Cheney's health, as he appears more and more indictable. Cheney's profane outburst in the Senate is just one more reminder of the prevailing Bush-Cheney hallmark â offense substituting for measured defense.

Liberals, irate by nature, realize with sudden solemnity that they have been right all along on the Iraq war. Liberals who consider politics the road to change now have a serious responsibility. Sadly, they are stuck with a candidate who slavishly endorses the Bush-Cheney Iraq strategy, or lack thereof.

Evangelical and conservative Christian sectors in America have slowly reawakened to the danger of a Christianity dependent on Caesar's largesse. They feel betrayed and unenthused by the current President.

While Israel implements a "Plan B" putsch for Kurdish independence as a new regional distraction, Washington neoconservatives wring their hands. Their plan was for more Iraqs, not fewer, and their faith is shaken. Licking their wounds, around 100 policymakers and wonks participated in a neocon love-in at the Washington Mayflower Hotel. Co-sponsored by the Foundation for Defense of Democracies and the decayed-but-not-yet-dead Committee on the Present Danger, the attendees discussed Iraq and the war on terrorism, lamenting that more people aren't buying the neoconservative line these days, and wondering out loud why Iraqis can't be more like Americans!

The rest of America, relying on common sense and refusing to play Orwellian mind games, is actually unified on Iraq. Americans agree that whatever it is that we are doing in Iraq, it isn't working very well. They agree that the reasons Bush and Cheney offered as justification for war were inaccurate and misleading. They agree that the price of gas, milk, eggs and ammunition are all way up. We may argue on what to do in Iraq, other justifications for war, and how to cut back our budgets to pay for gas, milk, eggs, and bullets. But this is neighborly conversation over a picket fence, not shouting over a political divide.

The American mission is not going to be found in calling the shots in Iraq. It is not going to be discovered on some neo-Columbus global adventure to conquer and claim the rest of the world's wealth and strategic ports.

A recent administration visitor to Iraq noted that one of Iraq's big problems today is that they have no new "patriotic songs" and that America should do something about that.

With a new interim government in place in Iraq, a clearer picture is emerging of the US global strategy of regime change embodied in its Pre-emptive Doctrine. For many of us who have been rather naÃve in assuming that the US, under Bush, is simply a superpower that bludgeons itself through to impose its wishes, there is now a clearer indication of a covert aspect to the pre-emptive doctrine that is far more insidious and sinister in its design and ends. It seems to have taken some time for the US Administration to see the value of this covert policy - and one should, perhaps, give credit to Blair and the British for this, given their years of colonial experience and historical intrigues! In any case, this covert policy, as is the case with the whole regime change focus, is clearly aimed primarily at Muslim states - and not just Iraq or Afghanistan though that is where it is being operationalised right now. However, if we look at the political machinations in other Muslim states, we will be able to realise that the target for this US approach extends far beyond Iraq and Afghanistan. The Broader Middle East Initiative - to which the Europeans with their Machiavellian heritage - have subscribed to, has a truly all-encompassing agenda: To redraw the political maps of domestic Muslim polities, including the structure of their political elites.

This, then, is the covert US agenda. And it is not as difficult to implement as may appear at first glance. In fact, with all the dissidents, technocrats and other typologies of Muslims from different Muslim states, residing over a long period of time in the West - that is, primarily the US, but also Britain and parts of so-called "old Europe" - with careful crafting, altering the structure of the political elites in Muslim states is not all that difficult. But clearly it cannot be done by simply imposing a few men from overseas on to a Muslim state outright - especially, if this is seen as a purely US intervention. The case of Chalabi shows the limitations of this approach. Many years earlier, in Pakistan the Moen Qureshi experience reflected similar shortcomings!

Of course, in the case of Iraq, the new interim government is also being imposed - but there is a subtle difference here also. The new government is supposedly a creation of the UN Representative, Brahimi â even though one cannot forget Brahimiâs own comments on the choices, especially his reference to the American Bremmer as the "dictator of Iraq". Either way, with a UN legitimation of the interim set-up in Iraq, the Interim government has an advantage over the Governing Council. But a glance at the background of the leading members of the Interim Iraqi Government should make people in the Muslim world examine the implications beyond Iraq.

The new Iraqi Minister of Communications is a former mobile network designer, and is a registered voter in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Minister of Powerâs phone in Chicago, where he used to work for an engineering firm, still tells callers that he is simply on "an indefinite leave of absence". Iraqâs new Minister of Industry lived in the US since 1979 and only returned to Iraq in 2003. According to the US Council on Foreign Relations, five of the six leading posts in the new Iraqi government are held by people who lived abroad for a significant period of their lives and at least two of the new cabinet members are US citizens while eight, including Prime Minister Allawi, are members of exile groups financed by the US. According to a Shia doctor from the Diwaniya in southern Iraq, Raja al-Khuzai, "most of the ministers I think are British, American or French passport holders. Very few of them are Iraqis. That was not the idea when Brahimi first came here and sat next to me and said, âWe want people like you who stayed in Iraqâ.

Clearly, the resentment is there in Iraq over such developments and over the fact that many of the Iraqi Governing Council, who have no office in the new set-up, are returning to their homes in the West - showing a lack of commitment and stake in the future of Iraq and its people. In fact, many kept their families outside and some never quit their jobs either. That is why Fuad Hussein, former minister of social affairs, has declared his intent of returning to his family in the Netherlands. The ex-interior minister, Samir Shakir Mahmoud al-Sumaiday, a London businessman is also returning to his family in Britain! Even Adnan Pachachi, who almost became president of Iraq, is returning to the United Arab Emirates.

Former company auditor: âItâs just a gravy trainâ

The Pentagon has already awarded Halliburton Co., the controversial military contractor, deals worth up to $18 billion for its work in Iraq. But now former Halliburton insiders have come forward with new allegations of massive waste of taxpayer money.


Marie deYoung, a former Army chaplain who worked for Halliburton, was so upset by attacks on the company she e-mailed the CEO in December with a strategy on how to fight the "political slurs."Â But today, after five months inside Halliburton's operation in Kuwait, deYoung has radically changed her opinion. "Itâs just a gravy train," she said.

DeYoung audited accounts for Halliburtonâs subsidiary KBR. ÂShe claims there was no effort to hold down costs because all costs were passed on directly to taxpayers. She repeatedly complained to superiors of waste and fraud. ÂThe company's response, according to deYoung was: "We can be as dumb and stupid as we want in the first year of a war, nobodyâs going to care."

DeYoung produced documents detailing alleged waste even on routine services: $50,000 a month for soda, at $45 a case; $1 million a month to clean clothes â or $100 for each 15-pound bag of laundry.

"That money could have been used to take care of soldiers," she said.

DeYoung also claims people were paid to do nothing. Mike West says he was one of them. Paid $82,000 a year to be a labor foreman in Iraq, West claims he never had any laborers to supervise. "They said just log 12 hours a day and walk around and look busy," he said. "OK, so we did."

Both deYoung and West have since left the company. Pentagon documents obtained by NBC News support the whistleblowers' charges. ÂIn December auditors complained of Halliburton's "serious deficiencies," including "lack of cost control and cost consciousness." Some examples:


Purchase of hundreds of high-end SUVs and pickups, loaded with options like CD players, which "most KBR employees do not need."Â 
"Duplication ... and gold-plating" in purchases of computers and high-tech equipment.
Halliburton employees living in 5-star hotels.The company declined an interview but suggests in an e-mail to NBC News that critics are politically motivated: "When Halliburton succeeds, Iraq progresses. Sadly, a few people don't want either of those results."

Halliburton also said the soda problem has been "corrected," and the laundry charges are being investigated, but insists it's "absolutely not true" the company is cavalier about taxpayer money.

Whistleblower deYoung thinks the problem is obvious. "They're using the war as an excuse, but it's not the war," she said.ÂÂ"It was very bad management."

Pentagon auditors apparently agree. ÂThey're withholding $186 million from the company and threatening to hold back even more unless Halliburton corrects the problems.

1. How has the current King George shown his "decent respect for the opinions of mankind"? 


a. He went to war against Iraq despite overwhelming popular opposition around the world and despite the absence of any UN authorization. (The percentage of the population supporting unilateral war by the United States and its allies was 3% in Argentina, 10% in Britain, 5% in Bulgaria, 8% in India, 3% in Malaysia, 9% in South Africa, 4% in Spain, 5% in Switzerland, and so on.) 

b. He has pursued policies that have led huge majorities in many countries to have a negative opinion of him (in March 2004, 85% unfavorable in Germany and France, 55% in Britain, 90% in Morocco, and 96% in Jordan). 

c. He dismissed the largest protests in world history in which many millions of people opposed his Iraq war plans, declaring, "You know, the size of protests is like deciding, well, I'm going to decide policy based upon a focus group." 

d. He ignored the United Nations' refusal to authorize war against Iraq by proclaiming that "America will never seek a permission slip to defend the security of our people." 

e. All of the above. 


We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, 


2. How has the current King George shown his belief in the consent of the governed? 


a. He took office after his cronies in Florida disenfranchised tens of thousands of African Americans who were legally entitled to vote in the 2000 election. 

b. He handpicked an Iraqi leader -- who had worked for the CIA and had engaged in terrorism on its behalf in Iraq in the 1990s -- even though that leader was disapproved of by 61% of the Iraqi population. 

c. After a failed coup attempt backed by Washington against Venezuela's president, Hugo Chavez, an administration official stated that, although Chavez had been "democratically elected," one had to bear in mind that "legitimacy is something that is conferred not just by a majority of the voters." 

d. Bush extended long-standing U.S.-Israeli opposition to self-determination for the Palestinian people by endorsing for the first time Israel's permanent retention of major illegal settlement blocs on the West Bank. 

e. All of the above. 


--That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. 


3. How has the current King George furthered our safety and happiness? 


a. In the two years since September 11, 2001, less potential nuclear weapons material that might fall into the hands of terrorists has been secured than was secured in the two years prior to the attacks.

RAFAH, Gaza Strip (Reuters) - Israeli forces have shot dead a 9-year-old Palestinian boy playing football in a Gaza refugee camp as tanks rolled in to search for tunnels used by militants, witnesses say.

"We were playing soccer when Israeli tanks ... started firing inside the camp and towards us," said Bashir Abu Jlidan, 18, a resident of Rafah refugee camp in the southern Gaza Strip.

He said Omar Zara'an, 9, fell to the ground bleeding. Doctors at Rafah hospital pronounced the boy dead after trying to revive him on Thursday.

The Israeli army had no immediate comment on the child's death. It said Israeli forces were on a mission in Rafah, which borders Egypt, to root out tunnels militants use to smuggle in weapons or place explosives underneath army positions.

In Jerusalem, the High Court temporarily barred construction of Israel's West Bank barrier south of the city a day after ordering the state to re-route a 30-km (18-mile) section to the northwest to reduce hardship for local Palestinians.

That decision set a precedent for pending hearings on some 20 other Palestinian petitions against sectors of the zigzagging barrier they say cut them off from farms, markets, public services and West Bank cities.

Thursday's High Court injunction responded to a petition by Palestinian villagers trapped by a loop in the disputed barrier around a nearby Jewish settlement on occupied territory.

Israel says the barrier, due to extend over 600 km (370 miles), is meant to keep out suicide bombers. Palestinians call it a ruse to annex land they want for a state since it often dips well inside the West Bank to take in settlements.

VOLATILE GAZA REFUGEE CAMP

Rafah residents said 15 Israeli tanks and other armoured vehicles backed by helicopters rumbled into Rafah's Brazil neighbourhood, firing machineguns.

The army besieged Rafah for six days in May, killing 42 Palestinians and leaving hundreds homeless after militants killed 13 soldiers in a string of ambushes.

In the West Bank, Israeli forces mounted a rare raid into the town of Jericho. The army said it detained 30 wanted Palestinians and found weaponry including rifles and grenades.

Witnesses in the ancient town, which has been largely untouched by nearly four years of Israeli-Palestinian violence, said troops pulled out after blowing up two flats and a house.

"This is a dangerous escalation by Israel," said Palestinian Negotiations Minister Saeb Erekat, a Jericho resident.

Residents of Nablus, also in the West Bank, said troops moved again into its casbah, or old town, closing its entrances and taking over a number of houses in a search for militants.

In northern Gaza, witnesses said Israeli forces moved further into the town of Beit Hanoun, seized on Tuesday a day after rockets fired from the area killed a 3-year-old boy and a man in Sderot in southern Israel.

They were the first in Israel to be killed by a rocket attack from Gaza since a Palestinian revolt began in 2000.

Army bulldozers, clearing areas that could provide cover for rocket squads, razed olive groves and orchards in Beit Hanoun. An Israeli military source said on Wednesday troops could remain there for months to stop militants launching rockets.

Prime Minister Ariel Sharon plans to pull settlers and soldiers out of Gaza by the end of 2005 and vows "extensive action" before and after that to thwart further rocket strikes.

Edmonds is currently under a gag order on foot of legal applications by U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft, over her claims of alleged corruption and 9/11-related cover-ups in the FBI translation unit which she joined just after the September 11th attacks.
Yesterday, the nonprofit watchdog Project On Government Oversight (POGO) sued Attorney General John Ashcroft and the US Department of Justice (DOJ), citing the latter's legal maneuvers in the Edmond's case as an interference with POGO's ability to perform oversight on the DOJ's actions. 
The case is likely to land before Bush-appointed Reggie Walton of the US District Court for the District of Columbia, who is already adjudging Edmond's unlawful dismissal suit against her former employer, the FBI.
POGO argue that the DOJ's retrospective reclassification of information relating to Edmonds' claims contained in unclassified Senate Judiciary Committee briefings in 2002, is both unlawful and unconstitutional. 
Georgetown University Law Center professor and Director of Public Citizen Litigation Group, David Vladeck represents POGO.
In another development yesterday, the Motley Rice legal team representing families of 9/11 victims --in a suit mainly against various Saudi interests, submitted to the judge a comprehensive list of detailed questions [pdf] they would like to put to Ms. Edmonds in support of their suit. 
The renowned Ron Motley, who took on the the tobacco industry and handled Medicaid legal actions is leading his firm's legal effort.
Last week, Vietnam-era whistleblower, Daniel Ellsberg stood side by side with Edmonds on the steps of the court, to back her protest at yet another delay in her case and warn Ashcroft that he might share the fate of A.G. John Mitchel --who served prison time over the Pentagon Papers caseTime was, when Edmond's stood alone, that Judge Walton could get away with treating her with legal disdain. 
Walton's court has bedeviled Edmonds with last-minute adjournments and hearings scheduled at short notice. And he consigned her to legal limbo by declining to make a final ruling on Ashcroft's October, 2002 move to declare her information a state secret. 
That let Ashcroft win by default, because Walton gagged Edmonds with a provisional order while she awaited his final ruling.
But the combined legal and public weight of: the relentless Edmonds and her lawyer Mark Zaid; POGO, Public Citizen and their supporters; Motley Rice, the families of 9/11 victims, Daniel Ellsberg and Professor Vladeck will not be as easily treated with the same legal derision which has characterized his handling of Edmonds' case to date.The POGO lawsuit is not filed on behalf of Edmonds, but to defend POGO's own right to conduct oversight reviews of the DOJ. The suit asks the court to require the agency to declassify the Edmonds material.

Several major religious denominations have joined a growing movement to legalize the medical use of marijuana, asserting an ethical responsibility to help ease the pain and other debilitating effects of such diseases as cancer, AIDS, multiple sclerosis and glaucoma.

The United Methodist Church, the Union for Reform Judaism, the Progressive National Baptist Convention, the Episcopal Church, the Unitarian Universalist Association, the Presbyterian Church (USA), the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the United Church of Christ have made statements supporting the controlled use of marijuana for medical reasons.

"According to our tradition, a physician is obligated to heal the sick," begins a resolution adopted in November by the Union for Reform Judaism. The statement acknowledges the medical use of marijuana as a 5,000-year-old tradition and encourages the federal government to change marijuana's status from a prohibited substance to a prescription drug.

The denominations have called for a reassessment of penalties for marijuana users trying to increase their appetites during chemotherapy or alleviate chronic pain. "We believe that seriously ill people should not be subject to arrest and imprisonment for using medical marijuana with their doctors' approval," asserted a Coalition for Compassionate Access statement endorsed in 2002 by the United Church of Christ.

Some denominations assert strong support for medicinal marijuana but reject its recreational use -- thus supporting one goal of secular marijuana lobbying groups but not the ultimate goal of completely decriminalizing the drug.

"The medical use of any drug should not be seen as encouraging recreational use of the drug," reads a statement approved last month at the general conference of the United Methodist Church in Pittsburgh. "We urge all persons to abstain from the use of marijuana, unless it has been legally prescribed in a form appropriate for treating a medical condition."

One thing notable about religious support of medical marijuana has been the lack of intense debate, especially in denominations riven over the issues of same-sex unions and the ordination of gay clergy, according to religious activists.

The Rev. Cynthia Abrams, director of alcohol, tobacco and drug programming for the United Methodists' General Board of Church and Society, said delegates to last month's convention voted 877 to 19 in favor of an amendment to drug-use guidelines that supports the drug's medical use in states that allow it.

"The surprising thing, it was almost unanimous," she said of the vote.

Increased evidence of the drug's usefulness and personal anecdotes of lay members and clergy helped the amendment's passage, she said. During the 18 months her panel worked on the proposal, "we heard many stories, from conservatives and liberals, of family members, or people they knew or ministered to, who had used marijuana in the course of chronic illness."

The movement to legalize the medical use of marijuana faces significant opposition, however -- especially from the Justice Department, which enforces federal laws prohibiting the cultivation and distribution of marijuana, and the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy.

"Marijuana is a dangerous drug, a surprisingly dangerous drug," said Tom Riley, a spokesman for the drug policy office. More teenagers are treated for marijuana abuse than for abuse of any other substance, including alcohol, and any law making marijuana more accessible will exacerbate the problem, he said.

Proponents are trying to circumvent "a well-developed system for introducing new medicines," Riley said, adding that a pill form of marijuana's primary active ingredient has been available for years and that other cannabis-based medicines are in the works.

Since 1996, when a successful California referendum opened the door to medical marijuana use there, nine states have enacted laws that allow certain patients to use the drug despite federal prohibitions.

The most recent addition is Vermont, which last month passed a law allowing qualified patients to grow, possess and use marijuana. The other states are Alaska, Colorado, Maine, Nevada, Oregon, Vermont and Washington. In most cases, patients receive a card or other documentation permitting them to use the drug.

D.C. residents approved the medical use of marijuana in a 1998 referendum - -- 69 percent voted in favor -- but Congress, the District's overseer, has blocked implementation of the law and prevented efforts to hold subsequent referendums on the issue.

Last year, the Maryland legislature stopped short of legalizing marijuana for medical use but passed a bill allowing anyone convicted of marijuana possession to argue for a reduced sentence based on its use to relieve the pain

In a 5-4 decision, the justices said the state can't regulate personal
religious beliefs.

"A claimant need not show some sort of objective religious obligation,
requirement or precept to invoke freedom of religion," Justice Franck
Iacobucci wrote for the majority.

"It is the religious or spiritual essence of an action, not any mandatory or
perceived-as-mandatory nature of its observance, that attracts protection.

"The state is in no position to be, nor should it become, the arbiter of
religious dogma."

When someone invokes protection of freedom of religion, courts must simply
be assured the applicant's religious beliefs are sincere and "in good faith,
neither fictitious nor capricious, and that it is not an artifice," said the
ruling.

The court could clear up doubts about the power of prosecutors to harass
medical marijuana patients

T he U.S. Supreme Court's decision to hear a case about medical marijuana
should clear the air in a controversy over the power of the federal
government to intervene in states' medical decisions.
On Monday, the court agreed to hear the Bush administration's appeal of the
9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruling in Ashcroft v. Raich. A panel of
the appeals court ruled 2-1 in December that the federal government
overstepped its constitutional authority in raiding patients whose medical
marijuana activities were noncommercial and did not cross state lines.
The ruling said that "cultivation, possession, and use of marijuana for
medicinal purposes and not for exchange or distribution is not properly
characterized as commercial or economic activity" and is thus outside
federal jurisdiction.
We hope we see a trend of federalism here, with states being free to decide
medical marijuana issues without federal interference.
Last summer, the Supreme Court let stand a lower court ruling that rejected
the Justice Department's claim that the Controlled Substances Act empowered
federal authorities to punish physicians who recommend marijuana to patients.
The Raich case was a second victory for medical marijuana proponents, but
only in 9th Circuit states that permit medicinal use of marijuana: Alaska,
California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.
The significance of the high court's granting review on Raich is that
patients across the country could be insulated from federal raids, arrests
and prosecutions when they legally use marijuana as medicine under state laws.
It's possible the high court could reverse the 9th Circuit ruling. Patients
still would be protected by state law, but that could be a thin shield to
wield in costly defenses against federal prosecutors.

You'd think that President Bush would have learned by now to keep those snappy aphorisms to himself.

 Couldn't Karl Rove and his minions at least get that "ad-lib" right about freedom ringing?

Not gonna cut and run.
 We can't cut, but we certainly ran.

Paul Bremer scuttled out of Baghdad so fast, he didn't even wait for the new ambassador, John Negroponte, to arrive so he could pass along some safety tips. Mr. Negroponte, assuming the most perilous diplomatic post in the world, is going to need all the security advice he can get if Iraq keeps slouching toward Islamic fundamentalism and rampant terrorism.

The administration went from Shock and Awe to Sneak and Shirk. Gotta run, guys — keep chins up and heads down. The Bush crowd pretended the country was free and able to stand on its own, even as the odd manner in which Mr. Bremer scooted away showed that it wasn't. The president acted as if Iraq was in control, but our forces can't come home because Iraq's still out of control.

As Paul Bremer was sneaking out, Ahmad Chalabi, the swindler who has bilked America out of millions, was sneaking in. He was smiling from ear to ear at the swearing-in ceremony for the new prime minister, Iyad Allawi (a ceremony so secretive that coalition officials confiscated reporters' cellphones to enforce an embargo on the news for security reasons).

If Americans needed any more confirmation that they're viewed as loathed occupiers, not beloved liberators, it came with the sad little spectacle of a hasty, heavily guarded hand-over that no Iraqi John Trumbell will memorialize in an oil painting of the Declaration of Iraqi Independence.

Dick Cheney and the neocons had once hoped for a grand Independence Day celebration, no doubt, where Saddam's toppled statue once loomed, dreaming of a parade of Iraqi high school pep squads and the Iraqi Olympic bobsled team; sky boxes for Halliburton executives; grateful Iraqis, cheering and crying; President Bush making a surprise drop-in from the NATO summit meeting in nearby Turkey, with "Mission Accomplished" pen sets for the new government; Katie, Matt and Diane beaming it back to proud Americans.

 Instead, there was no real transfer of power because there was no power to transfer. It was a virtual transfer, just the way the rationale for war was virtual and the shift of Saddam's custody to Iraq is virtual. The Bush team is not going to trust Iraqi security to hang onto Saddam because it doesn't even know yet whether Iraqi security can hang onto the country. With rumblings in Iraq that a strongman may be needed to tamp down the anarchy, what if the old Baathist crowd rushed to crown Saddam, instead of his foes storming the prison to "hack him to pieces," as Mr. Bremer speculated on the "Today" show?

 Mr. Bremer's escape from the Green Zone was uncomfortably reminiscent of the last days of Saigon. No one was hanging onto the skids of helicopters, but the mood was furtive, not festive. American troops are still trapped in Iraq and being killed there, and 5,600 ex-soldiers are being involuntarily recalled in America's undeclared draft.

The White House pretended that the sovereignty was real. The administration that is loath to share information and presidential papers — even to help the 9/11 investigation find ways to make the country more secure — quickly turned over a photo of Mr. Bush's handwritten "Let freedom reign!" comment on Condi Rice's note to him announcing the transfer.

But it rings — or reigns — hollow in a week when Sandra Day O'Connor

 WASHINGTON - The military will begin giving anthrax and smallpox vaccines to tens of thousands of troops in the Pacific and Middle East to help protect them against biological warfare, the Pentagon announced Wednesday.
 The expanded vaccination program is the result of an increased supply of the vaccines, particularly the anthrax vaccine, and not new intelligence on the threat of anthrax or smallpox weapons in those regions, said Dr. William Winkenwerder Jr., assistant secretary of defense for health affairs.
 The most significant group affected by the new orders will be troops who would face combat against North Korea. Any member of the military who is going to South Korea, or would go there early in a crisis, would receive both vaccines, officials said.
 "Just knowing our personnel are protected can create a deterrent for our adversaries' use of these weapons," Winkenwerder said.
 Some troops deployed to the Middle East region have received the vaccines. Now, everyone sent to the area managed by U.S. Central Command - which stretches from North Africa to Pakistan - will be required to take them, unless doctors determine people are at risk from the vaccines.
 Defense Department contractors and civilian employees deemed essential will also be required to take the vaccines. Nonessential contractors and civilians have the option of taking them, as do families of soldiers, contractors and civilian workers in the affected regions.
 Since 1998, 1.1 million military personnel have been vaccinated against anthrax. Since December 2002, 625,000 have received the smallpox vaccine.

It seems that folks in Skull & Bones - the Yale secret society that claims both President Bush and Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) as members - don't always like what they're reading in Lowdown.
 Author and Bones expert Toby Rogers tells me that Manhattan real-estate lawyer David Richards, the Bonesman who "tapped" Yale undergrad George W. Bush into the elite club in 1967, is taking a lot of heat for his anti-Bush comments that appeared in this column in May.
 Last week, Rogers recounts, Richards and several other Bonesmen journeyed to Washington to watch their Bones brother Victor Ashe, the former mayor of Knoxville, Tenn., be sworn in as the U.S. ambassador to Poland.
 At a reception following the ceremony at the Metropolitan Club, according to what Richards has been telling people, a Bonesman nicknamed "Groggy" sidled up to him and complained about his remarks in this column (originally published in Rogers' book "Ambushed") in which Richards insisted that Bush doesn't deserve to be reelected President.
 "I think it's pretty grim, I think he has trashed the economy, and I think he has conducted foreign policy badly, and I think he is a bad President," Richards said. "I don't know what he has done well."
 "Groggy" advised Richards: "Keep your f-- mouth shut."
 Rogers says Richards, who was in Europe and unreachable yesterday, also has received abusive E-mails from other Bush-supporting Bonesmen.
 Meanwhile, according to Rogers, the President recently joked to visiting Bonesmen, "If you want anything from me, you better ask for it now. I might not be here next year."
 Of course, if that's the case, they can still ask President Kerry.

An interesting article about John Kerry's school days.  He was from the 
class of 1962 (along with Robert Mueller) at the school where I was in 
the class of 1961. I  can confirm that the  atmosphere and values of the 
place were indeed as described, though cannot recall any truth in the

This is killin' ME.  The beheadings are damn effective
pictures.  I have not been buying the old-video-tape
sequences and the audio over dubbing of the films the
U.S. media is throwing into the U.S.A. public's faces.
 I am not buying the masked assaulters' presences...as
particularly Arabs, they are too fat for instance.
They are too American looking in even their masked
disguises.  The voicing is obviously over-dubbed and
could be from anyone, anywhere who wanted to use an
Arab accent.

Now I see this?  Read below:

"Since his death, militants have also beheaded US
hostage Paul Johnson in Saudi Arabia and South Korean
Kim Sun-il in Iraq. All three men were videotaped
wearing orange jump suits similar to those worn by
prisoners in US detention facilities like Guantanamo

What's to do about this?  It is possible the U.S.
military or FBI are doing the be-headings, of course,
to incite the next round of "Bush Wars" -- against
probably either Pakistan or Saudi Arabia or con't the
Iraq purge.  The U.S. is then using the Hannibal
Letcher schemes, the "snuff video" trade, to violently
murder its own men, men considered as traders to the
current Republican "RED" regime.

Why?  They sided with the Arabs and were vocal about
that in camp.  Or they were easy targets -- kind,
Christian men whom the Communistic-Marxist American
forces could use to perpetuate these vicious Arab
wars.

As we go out to celebrate our freedom this 4th of July, let's go over a few things to 
make your celebration a success.

Before leaving home make sure you check the color coded Homeland Security alert 
status. Be especially careful if it is orange or red.  Don't worry about yellow.  It's 
always yellow.

Be aware of your surroundings at all times.  New Yorkers, in particular, watch out for 
those pesky mushroom clouds.

Don't use any illegal fireworks in your 4th Celebration. It is for your own safety. 
And the founding father's implemented a government to protect you from yourselves. 
Didn't they? Besides, fireworks are explosive devices and you might be considered a 
terrorist with weapons of mass destruction.  And although the government can't find 
any in Iraq, you can rest assured they will find them in your car trunk.  But don't 
worry, getting arrested, imprisoned indefinitely without formal charges, and a 5 year 
wait before the secret tribunal trial per the Patriot Act is a breeze.  It's that 
secret summary execution that should make you nervous.

Make sure you are buckled up in your seat belts, there will be roadblocks and 
checkpoints to make sure you comply. It is for the children.

If you are an airline employee, lighten up for the holiday, you can always look for a 
job tomorrow. Maybe you could transfer over to a Federal Airport Security Screener 
job.  Big demand for those jobs and you don't have to be smart.

If you are a Haliburton employee, then celebrate, you probably have a raise coming 
from the Iraqi contract windfall.

If celebrating on any public property,
make no mention or relgious ideals.
Government is god there.
You will be aprehended.

Have your papers ready as you approach the holiday police checkpoints.

Don't criticize the President or other government officials, you might be in violation 
of the Patriot Act and considered a possible terrorist.

Don't mention the Constitution in any district court or you could be held in contempt.

If your children get out of line this holiday, do not discipline them, or they may be 
kidnapped by the Dept. of Social Services and held hostage until you receive approved 
psychological therapy and are deemed acceptable.

Show compassion this Independence Day by bringing an illegal immigrant to your 
celebration or by hugging a tree.

If an election is occurring in your locality within the next 90 days, do not talk 
about or publicly support any candidate, as that is no longer lawful. Keep your mouth 
shut.

If an officer asks to search your vehicle at the "seat belt" checks, do not be 
belligerent and demand a search warrant.  Standing up for your fourth amendment rights 
is anti-social and not in tune with the new American way.  Are you with Al Quada or 
something?

Do not get upset when the searching officer will not help you pick up your belongings 
that he has strewn all over the highway as he searched your vehicle.  It is not in his 
job description and complaining will get you charged with obstructing justice.

Keep your guns at home.  You are not going hunting and besides, What on earth do guns 
have to do with American Independence?  Better yet, turn your guns into the 
authorities to let them know that you are a true patriotic American.

Better yet, just STAY at home. BUT do not assume that you are safe,
because you are at home. If a government bureaucrat shows up at your home, he will 
probably be flashing a badge at you. This makes him look like a constitutional law 
enforcement officer. He may even be armed. Do not ask to see a warrant, and then tell 
him to leave if he does not have one. They will put a siege around your house. If you 
do not come out soon enough, they may invade, with guns drawn, or even set your house 
on fire.
