The media announced that this was to be the trial of the century. But once President Milosevic announced his intention to rebut his accusers by charging them with conspiracy and war crimes--the cameras and newspapers fell silent. The trial of Slobodan Milosevic dragged on for two years--*in silence and neglect *as the NATO-appointed prosecution presented their case. Again and again, defense motions were overruled and struck down. Finally on August 31, 2004 President Milosevic was able to present the rebuttal to the prosecution's charges and put forward Yugoslavia's defense. He challenged the status and legality of the International Criminal Tribunal for Former Yugoslavia. His clear, documented, well-reasoned two-day opening talk in the defense portion of the trial is *a presentation of historic importance*. Have you read one news article summarizing his rebuttal? Have you ever seen it quoted? Do you know how President Milosevic defended the Serbian people and all the people of the Balkans? Have you or anyone you know read his stinging expose of NATO's role? If you believe in free speech, don't you think President Milosevic's defense of Serbia should be available in every library and widely available on the internet and to journalists internationally? *Unfortunately free speech isn't free.* This historic speech, its defense of Serbia and the expose of NATO criminal conspiracy will only be known if we take active steps to make it widely available. We feel that it is a moral imperative to insure that the powers that bombed, sanctioned and profited from the war are not the only forces who write the history of this war. Dr. Halsey's comments were from five years ago when the FDA forced the CDC to review all medical products with mercury in them. During all this time the medical establishment has not budged in their backing of thimerosal and the reason is obvious as parent Max Salinas reminded everyone this morning. "Actually, consider that it is estimated that each ASD child may require $2M in support over his/her life, and there are an estimated 500,000 ASD children in the US alone, that comes up to $1 trillion. Bush and those around, beside and in back of him have articulated non-stop that they (he) are after permanent republican "rule" over this nation and us, the citizens of this nation. Virtually every government agency within the federal bureaucracy has as its head or director a BushCo loyalist. Those that the U.S. Senate have been unwilling to give an up or down vote for, Bush has waited for a congressional recess and then just signed off on an "executive order" recess appointment, totally by-passing the "advice and consent" of the Senate. Bush and company have stated many times and in no-uncertain of terms that they will be satisfied with nothing less than 100% approval for everything they want; and they will do whatever it takes to make sure of that. Lie, cheat, steal and hire pundits to read the BushCo script and try and pass it off as "news." Today the fight goes on in the Senate over John Bolton, the BushCo proposed U.N. ambassador. Bolton will not get the senate vote, but no matter as the senate will recess this next week for the 4th of July and Bush will give Bolton a recess appointment by way of an "executive order" much as he has done in the past. There goes the U.N. which BushCo wants and needs. Other wise they run the risk of being prosecuted at some point in time by the international community for committing a war of aggression under the Nuremberg principles-which to date BushCo has not withdrawn from, at least not yet. That was what was behind all the "force protection" so-called "agreements" BushCo extorted so many to sign. At least they would sign if they still wanted U.S. dollars coming their way. So much for "agreements." This is all about power, pure unadulterated political power. Everything is secondary to securing permanent political power. The securing of this political power extends way past just the rest of the world. In order for BushCo to do that they must of necessity secure their power over us here in the U.S. first and foremost. Virtually everything BushCo has done since 9/11--especially the "Patriot Act"--has been to silence dissent and opposition to the plans of BushCo, which simply stated is permanent one party "rule" (their word not mine) and the pushing of their "world view" and moralistic self-righteousness down our throats; and all while BushCo violates every international law, agreement and our own constitution. But, no matter as BushCo is rewriting that document on a daily basis. Now we have something else that BushCo wants to rewrite, or just do away with all together and the BushCo mouth pieces in the U.S. House of Representatives are right there to help-can anyone say, Tom DeLay Co? They are out to repeal the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution-the two-term limit on the presidency! The GOP has already announced it is out to "restructure the entire federal government" just last month. In fact they made this declaration just 2 weeks after the Downing Street Memo was released to the public. This cannot be allowed to happen! BushCo has already turned this nation on its head to the point I do not recognize my own country any more. BushCo lies its butt off about everything it does and has done the while the army of hired Karl Rove pundits tags all voices of opposition as liars, or un-American, or, traitors, or un-patriotic, or, or, orŠ Everyone lies but BushCo according to them, and half the country just quietly

Young George spoke this week about future energy technologies, ethanol from corn, and bio-diesel from soybeans. He said taxpayers should be glad that he is spending "our money" to pay for programs to teach people to conserve energy and to subsidize research into energy saving practices, devices and vehicles. But then we'd be officially stuck with Dick Cheney as the main man in the White House, although many believe he already is. And that would be worse than having Bush in that position. My dream scenario would be a re-enactment of Watergate, where the vice president is forced to resign before the president follows suit. Add to that the resignation of Scalia, Ashcroft, and Rumsfeld, and I'd start believing that God does have more than a superficial effect on our political process. Thank you, Jesus, thank you, Lord. Cheney's list of sins is as long as any Republican's transgressions. As CEO of Dallas-based Halliburton Co. from 1995 until 2000, Cheney did little about cleaning up asbestos in his buildings, leading to multimillion-dollar legal judgments against Halliburton. He presided over several rounds of job cuts, including of about 11,000 workers in 1999, a year that Halliburton showed a $438 million profit. Since those layoffs, Halliburton's profits rose, to $501 million in 2000 and $809 million in 2001. Halliburton also raked in big bucks from dubious deals with Iraq under Cheney's tenure, according to the Washington Post and other sources. From 1997 through 2000, Cheney's Halliburton sold $73 million worth of oil equipment and services to Iraq through subsidiaries Dresser-Rand and Ingersoll Dresser Pump Co. to help rebuild Iraq's Gulf War-damaged infrastructure. That was more business than any other U.S. company, and Cheney later lied about his Iraqi connection to media types like Sam Donaldson. Talk about corporate hypocrisy - companies like Halliburton could make big profits on such oil deals, but human rights groups could not ship life-saving medicine to Iraqi children because of UN sanctions. And now, Cheney the Major League Hypocrite is standing in line to nuke Hussein after he profited - big time - from Iraq. Halliburton also did business with dictatorships that have committed human rights abuses, such as in Burma, Libya, and Iran. In fact, Houston-based Kellogg Brown Root, a Halliburton subsidiary, was fined $3.8 million for exporting U.S. goods to Libya in violation of U.S. sanctions. Cheney did nothing to stop such fraud. Brown Root also had to pay a hefty fine after being accused of defrauding the U.S. military by submitting false claims for delivery orders between 1994 and 1998. Again, Cheney did nothing to stop such fraud. Halliburton was a corporate welfare hog under Cheney, obtaining at least $3.8 billion in federal contracts and taxpayer-insured loans, according to the Center for Public Integrity. All the while, Cheney blasted welfare mothers. Then there is Halliburton's Enron-like accounting scheme under Cheney's watch. The dishonest accounting policies, adopted in 1998, were obviously designed to make it appear like Halliburton had more revenues than the firm did. Specifically, Halliburton labeled unresolved claims against some clients as revenue, even though the money was still disputed, including $234 million in 2001 and $89 million in 1998. And who was Halliburton's accountant? Andersen, of course, the same firm embroiled with Enron. Cheney was even featured in an Andersen video, saying "I get good advice, if you will, from their people based upon how we're doing business and how we're operating - over and above just the sort of normal by-the-books auditing arrangement." Sounds like a confession to me. Even with such phony accounting, Halliburton's stock nosedived below $10 in early 2002 after being as high as $49 last year. The stock has since gone up slightly. The SEC is investigating, but do you really expect anything to come of that? There is a wide trail of lies told by Cheney. There is the Iraqi connection, the Enron ties, the India deal, the so on and so on. Cheney also lied about not living in Texas as late as November 2000 in apparent violation of the 12th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. He didn't sell his Dallas-area mansion to a major Republican donor until Nov. 30, 2000, according to deed records. I have been by that $2.7 million home several times since Cheney sold

The AP reported earlier this year that DeLay treated some of his donors to a May 2000 performance of the Three Tenors opera singers in Abramoff's skybox. A few weeks later, DeLay took a trip to Europe arranged by Abramoff. The House leader reported that the trip was paid for by an interest group, when in fact it was underwritten in part by Indian tribes. DeLay has said he was never told that tribes bankrolled his trip. The Senate Indian Affairs Committee chaired by Republican John McCain is set to examine the relationships between Abramoff and the tribes further at a hearing Wednesday in Washington. The report shows that some multinational behemoths have more financial clout than many large countries, with the energy giant 45th on the list, two places ahead of General Motors, which in turn is one place ahead of Peru and three spots ahead of New Zealand. The UN Conference on Trade and Development ranked countries according to gross domestic product (GDP), while the corporations are ranked based on "value added" - the sum of pre-tax profits, salaries, amortisation and depreciation for the year 2000. The data was released just days ahead of the start of the World Summit in South Africa, where world leaders are due to discuss the issue of sustainable development. The US tops the list with a GDP of £6.4 trillion, more than double that of second-placed Japan. Britain is fourth, behind Germany, with £927.5 billion. China, which is one of the world’s fastest growing economic superpowers, comes in 6th, with a GDP of £702 billion, ahead of both Italy and Canada. Scotland, although not included in the list, would sit between Egypt and Iran in 39th place, with a total GDP of about £64 billion. Oil giant Royal Dutch/Shell comes in at 62nd place, with a total of £23.4 billion, only two places behind Kuwait, which is one of the world’s largest oil producing countries, with £24.7 billion. UNCTAD said the top 100 multinational corporations accounted for 4.3 per cent of the world’s gross domestic product in 2000, up from 3.5 per cent in 1990. Of the $213 billion in trade with other parties, 88% were exports shipped by US multinationals to foreigners other than their foreign affiliates, and 12% were exports shipped to foreign affiliates by entities in the US other than their parent organizations. Of the $288 billion in imports of goods associated with US multinational corporations, 44% represented intra-firm trade, and 56% represented MNC trade with other parties. Of the $163 billion in trade with other parties, 83% were imports shipped to US multinationals by foreigners other than their foreign affiliates, and 17% were imports shipped by foreign affiliates to entities in the US other than their parent organizations. They held a public briefing on Thursday, June 23. From 911TruthAction's AJ Ward at alia, Jun 23:The NIST WTC review press conference was held this morning and was web-cast called the NIST Response to the World Trade Center Disaster - Federal Building and Fire Safety Investigation of the World Trade Center DisasterThe majority of the presentation was along the standard lines of rhetoric claiming the building's failures due to fire, and their recommendations to improve evacuation. The presenter, Shayam Sunder kept on message, basing his and the NIST's recommendations on the official theories of collapse by fire (no mention of the pancake theory though). Mostly he pointed to a release of about 10,000 pages of documents that would be available to the public for review and comment on technical issues. The staff of local and international press present followed up the (bland) presentation with some standard questions along the line of will these recommendations be required on all new and existing high-rise structures etcetera blah blah blah. There was one in the press in attendance that managed to ask some very tough questions. With a mild accent [Nico Haupt] addressed several issues that are being asked by the 911 truth movements. Keep in mind that this is a live webcast press conference! His question in about seven parts lasted approximately three minutes. He addressed the inside job issue, planned demolition, and several other key points including why WTC 7 isn't going to be addressed by the NIST until later this year in October.During this line of questioning, Mr. Sunder was noticeably uncomfortable and looked down at his podium the entire time. After about a minute of the questions from the unknown press man, the moderator (a burly white gentleman) approached the podium and placed a paper in front of Mr. Sunder which he appeared to read as a response once the inquisitor was finished. Mr. Sunder in his response to the open line of questions expectedly refused to address any points head-on and simply stated (from the paper handed to him) that all of their recommendations are based on the scientific evidence and documents that will be available for public comment. He also stated that the [Haupt]'s line of questioning was outside of the scope of the press conference and he had no authority to respond to any of Haupt's questions.OK, so an expected side step, right? Yet, I wonder how many people were watching this live? Obviously most of the viewers would be members of the press and the truth movement folks, but the exposure put forth by Haupt was very encouraging. I fully expect the truth guys to come out of the woodwork when the NIST decides to release their findings on WTC 7. You better! Tune into further developments and press dates at http://wtc.nist.gov That was at the closed press conference. Following that, there was an open public conference, which featured even more grilling by 9/11 truthers. Another report from 911TruthAction: Andrea Psoras made that same point [about NIST being part of the Commerce Deparmtnet and not an independent agency] during the question and answer period that ended the public conference. There were a bunch of truth people there, and the NIST spokesmen were grilled on the explosions, the molten steel, Silverstein's admission, collapse speed, and a bunch of other stuff. Naturally, there was also a 9-11 families plant who claimed to have a science background, and thanked them for the excellent job they did on the report. I didn't ask any questions, because everything I wanted to question them on was asked by others, but I did get some heckling in, and yelled in his face that he was a liar, and that his report was worthless because it was a lie, which was good because I was in the front row. At one point he claimed that the towers collapsed in 9-15 seconds, and I called him a liar for that too. There were a lot of people heckling them by the end of the conference. There were a lot of people there from 911truth.org (possibly ny911truth.org) who gave them a hard time. [WTC rescue hero William Rodrieguez, whom] Phil Berg is now representing was there, and he told everyone about the explosions he heard, and asked why NIST didn't contact him, or address that information, and also why the 9-11 commission didn't either. Like what Nico mentioned happened in the press conference (I was at the public conference), they stressed how much science was involved, as if they were sorcerers and no one else was capable of understanding it. He brushed off the molten steel question with bullshit
