Under these 'emergency' conditions, all who do not meekly go along with the edicts of the president and his agents, the judges (who also can make law by uttering it), are 'legally' considered enemies, rebels, and can be held until they rot, can be summarily shot, or whatever one does to the enemy in times of war/emergency. A state of emergency btw is considered tantamount to a state of war, in the officially stated views of Congress. That is one reason we have all these 'wars' - war on terror, war on poverty, war on those who don't want all this war, war on you name it - hangnails and the color pink and over-ripe bananas. War/emergency is such a useful state, granting such enlarged powers to govt, that the govt decided it wanted to be there all the time. And it has been, for a long time now. A recent documentary featured local authorities in Seattle who studied tiny paint particles found on murder victims, eventually discovering they were from a high-grade paint used at a lone automobile paint shop in the area. The composition of the particles eventually led to the capture of serial killer Gary Ridgeway, the notorious Green River Killer. Doubtless, scientific investigation has become the best option for solving unsolvable crimes. And now a former Bush appointee is asking why this forensic science has not been used to its fullest in solving what was arguably the greatest crime in American history. Morgan Reynolds, Bush's chief economist for the Department of Labor from 2001-02, is an outspoken leader in a movement calling for a full-scale, unbiased, independent scientific study into the events of Sept. 11, 2001. -Caveat Lector- There is a lot of research in the patriot community Gene Schroder, John Quade et al) suggesting that our country is in a more or less permanent state of emergency, has been for decades, and that under emergency, civil law is suspended and the country is run under martial law, or its milder version, martial rule. This would mean that the country is being run as a military dictatorship under the president as commander of the military and that as in a monarchy, his word is law - hence all those unconstitutional Presidential Orders. In fact under these conditions, the only 'law' is the Doctrine of Necessity which holds that 'necessity knows no law.' The sole charge of govt . is to 'keep the public peace' using whatever means are necessary, including deceiving the public, if their knowing the truth would cause the public peace to get a bit ruffled. Remember 'all's fair in love and war.' In this view, all dissidents are 'rebels in time of war'. This has always made sense to me as it would provide an (arguable in court, and esp. in the courts we have today) defense/veneer of legality for what is being done - could save the bacon of the treasonists if bleep ever hits blades for them. Hammell, President of the International Advocates for Health Freedom, several anti-Codex groups may have been intentionally advising anti-Codex activists on ways to oppose the vitamin-banning regulations that were ineffective and even counter-productive. Hammell argues that the Natural Solutions Foundation (NSF) and Citizens for Health (CFH) had been offering unworkable advice on stopping the anti-vitamin regulations that are taking effect in Europe and may soon bite in the United States as well. He even argues that such organizations may have received secret funding from wealthy Codex supporters. And these could even include members of wealthy, industrial families who are increasingly known to seek regulations worldwide that will damp competition to certain companies and trans-national industrial enterprises while exempting their own. Prior to the recent ratification of the Codex, vitamin-regulation document, both the NSF and CFH were advising people to petition Dr. Ed Scarbrough, the U.S. Codex Chairman, not to support it. Because each of about 100 countries meeting to discuss Codex had a single vote, petitioning one unelected official was not an effective way to halt the Codex agenda even if Scarbrough was brought on board. According to Hammel, both the NSF and CFH have ties with certain American intelligence officials - and setting up entities to infiltrate or confuse certain target groups is a time-honored intelligence trick.These are U.S. officials, Hammel claims, who have been known to work with internationalist forces and their backers in the past to drive power and influence to organizations that are fairly or entirely unaccountable to U.S. law and domestic governance. Globalists such as the Rockefellers and other prominent wealthy families are said to be prominent among the supporters of these actions, Hammell believes. Hammell maintains the only productive method for stopping Codex from having an impact on the U.S. natural health care industry is to petition the U.S. Congress. While the massive campaign that unfolded against the Central American Free-Trade Agreement did not carry the day, there have been numerous reports that those Administration and legislative officials in favor of the internationalist agenda were stunned by the vehemence of the publics opposition to the trade treaty. It was only certain last minute maneuvering that saved CAFTA, but the plan to put the next phase of the Americas agenda in place has been significantly slowed and may even have been brought to a halt for much if not all of the rest of the Bush Administration. An assault against Codex of the same magnitude might have a similar chilling effect, Hammell believes. Supporters of Codex claim that its effects will not be nearly as Draconian as they are made out to be, and that international governance is increasingly and inevitably a fact of 21st-century life. CAFTA, like the World Trade Organization, may serve as a forum for restricting or even banning dietary supplements in the U.S. The Codex Alimentarius Commission, organized by the United Nations in the 1960s, is charged with "harmonizing" food and supplement rules between all nations of the world. Under Codex rules, even basic vitamins and minerals require a doctor's prescription. The European Union already has adopted Codex-type regulations, regulations that will be in effect across Europe later this year. This raises concerns that the Europeans will challenge our relatively open market for health supplements in a WTO forum. This is hardly far-fetched, as Congress already has cravenly changed our tax laws to comply with a WTO order. Like WTO, CAFTA increases the possibility that Codex regulations will be imposed on the American public. Section 6 of CAFTA discusses Codex as a regulatory standard for nations that join the agreement. If CAFTA has nothing to do with dietary supplements, as CAFTA supporters claim, why in the world does it specifically mention Codex? Unquestionably there has been a slow but sustained effort to regulate dietary supplements on an international level. WTO and CAFTA are part of this effort. Passage of CAFTA does not mean your supplements will be outlawed immediately, but it will mean that another international trade body will have a say over whether American supplement regulations meet international standards. So the question is this: Does CAFTA, with its link to Codex, make it more likely or less likely that someday you will need a doctor's prescription to buy even simple supplements like Vitamin C? The answer is clear. CAFTA means less freedom for you, and more control for bureaucrats who do not answer to American voters. Pharmaceutical companies have spent billions of dollars trying to get Washington to regulate your dietary supplements like European governments do. So far, that effort has failed in America, in part because of a 1994 law called the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act. Big Pharma and the medical establishment hate this Act, because it allows consumers some measure of freedom to buy the supplements they want. Americans like this freedom, however - especially the health conscious Baby Boomers. This is why the drug companies support WTO and CAFTA. They see international trade agreements as a way to do an end run around American law and restrict supplements through international regulations. The largely government-run health care establishment, including the nominally private pharmaceutical companies, want government to control the dietary supplement industry - so that only they can manufacture and distribute supplements. If that happens, as it already is happening in Europe, the supplements you now take will be available only by prescription and at a much higher cost - if they are available at all. -Caveat Lector- Cheney too could be impeached. Impeachment would only make sense (if then) if both Bush and Cheney were named and proceeded against for impeachment. But - who would be next in line for the office of president? And do we really think it would be anybody materially better? The fact is that ALL OF OUR CENTERS OF POWER are in the control of a powerful clique of corporate/banking interests who are using all of those centers of power (govt, media, etc etc etc) in their own interests, which are diametrically opposed to our interests, because the essence of their plan is to turn us into a world population of de facto slave laborers living in a police state that has us under such thorough control that we will be powerless to force any change/betterment of our condition. There are so many different groups online, patriot and news groups. I am glad to see that and feel that the 'eyes open' segment of the population is growing - in fact the rate of increase is probably geometric, meaning roughly that it will increase 'by leaps and bounds.' But what use is being made of this increased awareness of the real game that is afoot? I am not speaking here of violence, not not not - I am no 'terrorist' and do not approve of violence and cannot even use a gun - I speak rather of concerted peaceful efforts to take back some control . Surely some of all these many groups could in some fashion work together ... are any such efforts being made? Is there any plan at all? Surely we could at least attempt to unite to some good effect... or else what... are we just going to sit and helplessly watch and wait as outrage is piled onto outrage and the finishing touches applied to the cage that is being built around us? btw Cathy O"Brien,in the book she co-authored with Mark Phillips, had some unforgettable things to say about Cheney. O'Brien says she was a Project Monarch 'Presidential Model' and was helped to get away by Mark. Mark and Cathy are a couple; they gave a talk in Seattle about 10 years ago and I met them. Cathy and Mark's book is of course undocumentable; but they have not been hit with any lawsuits over it and it does accord with other info from other sources on the subject of the CIA's trauma-based mind control programs. About Cheney she said he was the most vicious sadist she had ever been used by in her career as a (forced, unpaid, mind-controlled) high class call girl to the political elite. She said he played a version of the 'most dangerous game' with her in which she was, at night, forced to run and hide (naked) from him (in a large wooded fenced enclosure) while he tracked her down and then violently raped her.
