The Rising Sun of International Government

December 7, 1999

What Japan could not do by bombing Pearl Harbor, today’s
political and commercial elite are quietly accomplishing
without a shot being fired. So successful is their attempt to
globalize the economies and militaries of the world that many
no longer bother to hide it.

In a speech on October 19 to the World Federalist Association,
former CBS broadcaster Walter Cronkite is quoted by the
Washington Times as saying, "It seems to many of us that if we
are to avoid the eventual catastrophic world conflict we must
strengthen the United Nations as a first step toward a world
government patterned after our own government with a
legislature, executive and judiciary, and police to enforce its
international laws and keep the peace.

"To do that, of course, we Americans will have to give up some
of our sovereignty.

"We cannot defer this responsibility to posterity. Time will
not wait. Democracy, civilization itself, is at stake. Within
the next few years we must change the basic structure of our
global community from the present anarchic system … to a new
system governed by a democratic UN federation…. Today, we must
develop federal structures on a global level. We need a system
of enforceable world law – a democratic federal world
government – to deal with world problems."

Cronkite is not alone in his thinking. Deputy Secretary of
State, Strobe Talbott is quoted by Time magazine in an essay
titled "The Birth of the Global Nation" as saying that he is
looking forward to government run by "one global authority."

Talbott went on to say, "… Nationhood as we know it will be
obsolete; all states will recognize a single, global
authority."

Plans for such international government are well under way. The
Los Angeles Times just yesterday ran a story outlining the fact
that the newly created European Union is currently developing a
"rapid-reaction corps" comprised of some 50,000 – 60,000
thousand troops under direct EU control.

The Times states, "The multinational force, roughly the size of
three army divisions, would be on standby for deployment…. It
is not expected to function before 2003, but is already being
hailed by some Europeans as the vanguard of an entirely unified
military…."

On December 4, the Washington Times ran a report stating, "The
United States has resigned itself to the eventual creation … of
a UN International Criminal Court to be modeled after war
crimes tribunals for Rwanda and the former Yugoslavia. Even if
the United States does not ratify the treaty, American citizens
will be subject to arrest and trial as the treaty document is
now drafted."

Add to this the fact that Secretary of Defense, William Cohen
announced that on October 7 a new US Joint Forces Command
became operational. This new command, which replaces the old US
Atlantic Command, eviscerates the Posse Comitatus Act, which
denied the use of federal forces against American civilians,
and permanently establishes a new command unit charged with the
responsibility of sending federal (and international?) forces
against the American citizenry.

Secretary Cohen said, "The American people should not be
concerned about it. They should welcome it."

If that isn’t enough, Kofi Annan, secretary-general of the UN
told the UN General Assembly just a few weeks ago that national
borders will no longer be a deterrent to UN intervention. After
watching NATO’s aggression against the former Yugoslavia, it
would seem Annan is not uttering idle threats.

Through the IMF, the World Bank, the under-construction World
Financial Organization, so-called "free trade" agreements and
organizations like NAFTA, GATT and the WTO, the much-touted
"global economy" is fast becoming global government. The US
Senate is even considering legislation to authorize a study
considering the potential benefits of hiring police officers of
other nations by federal law enforcement agencies, according to
World Net Daily.

It seems clear to me that the presidential election next year
will be more about American sovereignty and independence versus
globalism and internationalism than any other single issue.
Sadly, I find little significant difference on this issue
between the establishment front runners of both parties.

Both Bush and Gore support NAFTA, GATT, the WTO, MFN for Red
China, the entrance of China into the WTO, virtually all
international trade deals, the IMF, the World Bank, ad
infinitum. Neither candidate appears likely to stand against
the UN and its desire to create a socialist New World Order.
Our choice seems to be between a New World Order Republican and
a New World Order Democrat. I choose neither.

"A Fearful Master"

October 15, 1999

A recent World Net Daily report chronicled the creation of a
brand new US military command. It is called the US Joint Forces
Command and is headquartered in Norfolk, Virginia. It takes the
place of the former US Atlantic Command. Normally, this kind of
event would be considered benign. This time, I’m not so sure.

With the assistance of Republicans in congress, changes have
been made to the Posse Comitatus Act that will "allow a broader
use of US military forces in a domestic law enforcement role…."
This new command will oversee this new domestic role of our US
military forces.

Secretary of Defense, William Cohen, is reported to have told
participants at the ceremony commemorating the new unit that
the American people should not fear the potential of seeing US
military forces on the streets of US cities. He said, "The
American people should not be concerned about it. They should
welcome it." Why do I not get a warm, fuzzy feeling?

Somehow, I cannot imagine Sam Adams and the boys welcoming a
decision by the federal government to use military forces
against civilians. Nor do I believe the American people today
should welcome such a decision.

The Founding Fathers knew well the proclivity of government to
become tyrannical. It is the nature of the beast. Washington
said, "Government is not reason; it is not eloquence; it is
force! Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful
master."

Without the safeguards of the Bill of Rights, the original
states would never have ratified the US Constitution. Central
to the preservation of individual liberty is the Second
Amendment. Jefferson said, "The strongest reason for the people
to retain their right to keep and bear arms is as a last resort
to protect themselves against tyranny in government."

During the past four decades some 20,000 restrictions and
prohibitions have been placed against the free access of
firearms. During that same period of time, the federal
government has created a federal police force numbering in the
hundreds of thousands. As their size and budgets have grown so
have their abuses. To this present hour not one federal agent
involved at Waco has been held accountable to the American
people or to our laws.

Now, we learn that our government is circumventing the Posse
Comitatus Act and planning to use military forces in domestic
disturbances. This is supposed to make us happy? I think not.
It would be far easier for the American people to defend
themselves against any would-be terrorist or domestic criminal
than against an out-of-control government that is drunk with
power!

That our government is officially preparing to use US military
forces in domestic law enforcement is nothing to celebrate. In
fact, if there was ever a time since 1776 for states and local
communities to jealously guard their freedom and independence,
it is now!

What Genocide?

November 3, 1999

The justification used for NATO’s illegal war against
Yugoslavia was that the Serbs were committing genocide against
ethnic Albanians in Kosovo. President Clinton assured the
American people that as many as 100,000 people had been
slaughtered. Later the figure was reduced to 10,000. We were
told that mass graves could be seen from our hi-tech
satellites. (These were the same satellites that didn’t know it
was the Chinese Embassy that we were bombing.)

During that time I wrote in this column and said on my talk
show that it was highly unlikely that genocide was taking place
and that Bill Clinton was lying through his teeth. I further
said that we could not trust Mr. Clinton or his compatriots at
NATO to tell the truth. For this I was vehemently criticized by
many, including a fellow radio talk show host across town.
Well, my friends, I hate to say it (no I don’t), but, I told
you so.

According to the Sunday Times of London, October 31 edition, "…
a pathologist who led the Spanish team looking for bodies in
the aftermath of the fighting … said, ‘I calculate that the
final figure of dead in Kosovo will be 2,500 at the most. This
includes lots of strange deaths that can’t be blamed on anyone
in particular.’"

Expecting his team to perform thousands of post-mortem
examinations and their work to continue to the end of November,
Perez Pujol said, "On September 12 I called my people together
and said, ‘We have finished here.’ I informed my government and
told them of the real situation. We had found a total of 187
bodies. Four or five had died from natural causes."

According to the Times report, "The UN is expected to report
next month that the total number of victims so far uncovered is
fewer that 2,000. Many were executed, but some died during the
fighting and others died in allied bombing."

The Times continues: "Alice Mahon, the Labour MP who chairs the
Balkans committee, said yesterday that the deaths were tragic
but did not justify the military action taken by NATO. ‘When
you consider that 1,500 civilians or more were killed during
the NATO bombing, you have to ask whether the intervention was
justified." Indeed.

In short, Bill Clinton, Tony Blair and the rest of the NATO
spokesmen lied to us! They manufactured a genocide that did not
exist! In fact, Clinton and his bloodthirsty comrades killed
more people during that illegal war than the Serbs had killed
during the preceding decade!

When will the American people wake up the fact that one cannot
trust the word of a pathological liar? And those who have sold
their souls to defend and protect a pathological liar cannot be
trusted, either. That the congress and people of this country
grant to Bill Clinton any degree of credibility or trust
demonstrates their own stupidity!

For the sake of opinion polls and media intimidation, the US
Senate must now face eternity with the blood of thousands of
innocent people on their hands!
