The top court overturned a B.C. Court of Appeal decision that said the federal government was responsible for all the financial damages awarded a man who suffered sexual abuse at the hands of a dormitory supervisor at the Alberni Indian Residential School on Vancouver Island in the 1960s....More than 10,000 residential-school compensation claims are still unresolved.
