Thought that I would make a comment on this, that it is true( I just called my local dealer) for those that have to go through the NICS checkbut those of us that have a concealed carry permit( As I do) that was granted a good while back, we can still purchase because we do not have to be checked with it. The dealer told me it would probably be back on line by tom. afternoon, but as you say, this would stop a whole lot of people from being able to purchase when they wanted to which is a main point. We all are already filed in a database somewhere and the CCP just puts us up a notch higher on the list. YOU CAN'T BUY A RIFLE OR A SHOTGUN. FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF. PICK UP YOUR TELEPHONE AND CALL A LOCAL GUN DEALER. IF YOU CAN FIND ONE OPEN FOR BUSINESS, ASK THEM IF YOU CAN COME IN A PURCHASE A GUN. THE ANSWER IS "NO". THERE ARE VARIOUS EXPLANATIONS SUCH AS THE FBI COMPUTERS HAVE A "GLITCH". UNOFFICIAL REPORTS SAY THAT GUN SALES WILL RETURN TO NORMAL IN 2 OR 3 DAYS. PERHAPS THEY WILL.
