IT IS THE SOURCE. I referred to the people of THE BOOK. You brought in
someone else's interpretation of that phrase which changed the meaning.
I cited the source of that meaning. That's all.

It may be old, but is it true? I remember the stories. You seem to forget that
you
are dealing with the Middle East where pomp and posturing count as a valid form
of communication. Way before they had it, the Israelis put out rumors that they
had the BOMB. It was good for Israel to have everyone think that. Want to guess
why???

Saddam was using the most simple and inexpensive terror weapons against his
foreign and domestic enemies. Yet somehow you find it plausible that his
scientists could pull off creating a biological weapon so sophisticated, that
it could cause mass death in mixed populations BY ONLY MAKING THE ENEMY
SUSCEPTIBLE.

If this is a practical possibility in your mind, PLEASE PLEASE tell me what
you consider Implausible.

Because their culture has become irrelevant ( except as a religion ) to the

I would remind you though, that it was this very culture whose genius and
brilliance pulled Europe out of the Dark Ages.

How do you know Israelis are looking for a virus that targets Palestinians?
It sounds like Arab propaganda to me. One would assume that if it were true,
the scientists involved would know enough about genetics to understand that
to target Mideast Arabs, and Palestinians in particular with a special virus
would be suicidal since they are virtually the same genetic stock and live

Yup They're going to HAVE to give it up, because if they target the
Palestinians they'll be targeting themselves as well... As Hillel put it
about the time of Jesus, when challenged to sum up the Scriptures "while
standing on one leg," "That which is hateful to yourself, do not do to
others. That is the whole of the Law and the Prophets. The rest is
commentary--go and learn it."

The conversions happened, but they are statistically irrelevant.

I don't expect everyone to forget about it. I expect the racists to
squirm. The Jewish encyclopedia didn't have access to this information when
it was written, and encyclopedias are always being updated for that reason.
But it's nice to see that you put so much credence in what the Jewish
encyclopedia says.

Not quite buddy.

Piltdown was faked. I understand why you would like this to be fake too. There
is no reason to assume that it is at this point in time. This method is being
used all over the world by many different scientific interests.

Absolutely true. But since the Khazar theories and the British Israel theories
were absurd to begin with and based on nothing more than Christian wishful
thinking, your skepticism about this method shows what a hypocrite you are.
You showed no scientific skepticism towards them even though there is NO
evidence at all to back them up.

I think that I'll take some credit here too. From the first week this list
started I have been dealing this subject and have presented the case now
verified by genetics.

Where is Michael Hoffman now? Where is Poley and the other Christians whose
intent it was to replace the Jews as the people of the book?

The intent here was evil.

[CTRL] Jewish Gene Study Reveals Origins

2000-05-10 Thread Robert F. Tatman

So we learn at least two things: the Genesis account of Abraham as father of
both Isaac and Ishmael has true in more than just a spiritual sense; and all
of the hypotheses about British Israel, the Khazars, mongrel races, etc.,
are proven to be just what I have always maintained--purest nonsense.

Jewish Gene Study Reveals Origins

By Discovery.com News

May 9, 2000 - A genetic analysis of Jewish populations has revealed new
clues about their Middle Eastern origins and new details about how the group
spread throughout the world, according to today's New York Times.
The findings suggest that despite the fact that they dispersed out of Israel
over 2,000 years ago, Jews have remained remarkably faithful to "the
tribe" - there has been little interbreeding with other groups.

Also challenged are claims that the Jewish population is largely composed of
outside groups who converted to the faith.

The results also suggest that, out of all other groups in the world, Jews
are most closely related to Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese, with whom
they descended from a common population 4,000 years ago.

The findings, which were published in today's issue of the Proceedings of
the American Academy of Sciences, were reported in the New York Times.

The study, which was led by Michael F. Hammer of the University of Arizona,
compared the chemical sequence of the Y chromosome among men worldwide. The
Y chromosome, which contains the genes that make men men, is passed down
from father to son in more or less intact form.

As a result, examining its genes paints an almost unbroken picture of one's
paternal heritage. Genes in the Y chromosome do change over time among
different groups, however, so comparing the Y chromosomes of distinct
populations provides a window into how closely they are related.

Based on these comparisons, Hammer identified 19 main variations in the Y
chromosome worldwide, according to the New York Times. Jews and Arabs
descended from a group that shared eight of these lineages.

This ancestral Arab-Jewish population, in turn, may have descended from the
neolithic groups who first developed farming in the Near East.

Hammer closely examined the DNA of Ashkenazi Jews, who settled in large
numbers throughout Europe. Despite having been surrounded by non-Jews for 80
generations, the rate of genetic mixture with Europeans was only half a
percent per generation, according to Hammer.

"It could be that wherever Jews were, they were very much isolated," Hammer
told the New York Times.
