[CTRL] my modest proposal
-Caveat Lector- What is my modest proposal? Why quite simply - Freedom of choice! Most if not all self appointed militant environmentalists believe in choice when it comes to abortion - so why not freedom of choice when it comes to overall life styles? Why can't these self appointed militant environmentalist stop using Governmental coercion (Which clearly violates people's 13th amendment civil rights) and voluntarily live the environmentally friendly life? They could migrate to rural areas, start living in caves, build windmills for electricity, use biomass for fuel for heat, solar powered autos, even hamster powered automobiles, etcetc.. The self appointed environmental militants would then stop all opposition to new energy and resource projects which would enable people like me to live the industrial/technological life style; like developing the giant oil fields in Alaska, off shore drilling everywhere, Oil shale development, additional coal development, frozen methane development, increased refinery capacity, additional nuclear power plants, increased efforts to develop fusion power, and lets not forget the fantastic oil sands resource in Canada. People would be free to choose which life style to pursue. I am good with this modest proposal Are the self appointed militant environmentalists good with this? If not why not?
