Smokers face eviction excerpt A CO-OPERATIVE board in New York City has prohibited new buyers from smoking in their apartments, a move real estate experts described as the first of its kind. According to the New York Times, prospective new buyers at a 452-flat building near the Lincoln Centre must declare whether they are smokers.
