That said, it was reported on the news this morning that DC police are now saying they checked Levy's phone record, whichs show no incoming or outgoing calls were made the day she disappeared...presumably this means 5/1, it wasn't made clear whether this meant the 24 hours preceding her disappearance and would include the afternoon and evening of 4/30... In the same report it is said that in addition to all the MapQuest searches, that the computer records show that sites related to Condit's committees were also visitedas if 'evidence' of some kind against Condit was being researched... And Washington police also revealed yesterday they are investigating the possibility 24-year-old Chandra Levy may have been slain by a professional killer skilled in the disposal of bodies. Levy family lawyer Billy Martin said yesterday she had told friends and family that U.S. Representative Gary Condit had asked her leave her ID at home during their romantic affair. ``That was the procedure to be used . . . he did not want her identified,'' Martin told NBC's Meet the Press yesterday. This past weekend, the missing woman's father Robert Levy of Modesto, Calif., publicly called for police to investigate Condit's ``associates.'' Chandra Levy, who hasn't been seen since April 30, also agreed to several other forms of deception the 53-year-old married congressman demanded. Those included getting off at the wrong floor of his apartment building if someone else got on the elevator, and entering taxis alone, then waiting for Condit to run into the car with his face obscured by a pulled-down baseball cap. Those details, including that the two often sneaked off to suburban Virginia when they went out for dinner, were contained in a 13-page written statement about the Levy-Condit affair from her aunt, Linda Zamsky. It was Zamsky's statement which led Condit, on July 6, to finally admit after 10 weeks of denials he had been involved in a sexual affair with Levy, who interned at the federal Bureau of Prisons. Condit, whose district includes Modesto, is not a suspect in Levy's disappearance, police have said. Washington police Chief Charles Ramsey said yesterday Levy was extremely cautious about her personal security. He also believes she left her apartment to see someone she knew. Levy was ``a pretty cautious woman and just wasn't one to throw her door open to anybody if there was a knock at it . . . I mean, it just doesn't fit that she (left the apartment to meet) a stranger or something like that,'' Ramsey told CBS's Face The Nation. The police chief also revealed police are investigating the possibility that Levy may have been murdered by a professional killer. Levy's purse, wallet, personal identification and credit cards were all left in her apartment, along with a laptop computer and her packed bags prepared for a return trip home to attend her University of Southern California graduation ceremony. All that was missing from her apartment were her keys. Police found no signs of a struggle or forced entry and nothing was stolen. Ramsey confirmed that although Levy was last seen April 30, a search of her laptop computer revealed that she was on the Internet visiting travel Web sites the next day, on May 1, for about three hours up until 1 p.m. Around that same time, Levy left a telephone message for Zamsky informing her she had ``big news'' to share. Martin said that on behalf of the family, his private investigators are looking into whether Levy was pregnant. Martin said his own investigation, conducted on behalf of the Levy family by two retired Washington homicide detectives, indicates the young woman went to meet someone she knew. ``For some reason, Chandra appears to have been lured, called, or brought out of the apartment expecting to return,'' Martin said. He also told NBC the lie detector test administered to Condit last week by a polygrapher hired by his legal team was ``slippery, slick and does not at all fit with the family's desire for him to display a show of good faith.'' Martin said the Levy family is ``absolutely'' still suspicious of Condit. ``I think he is acting as someone who has something to hide. ``I do a lot of trial work here and across the country. Judges often tell jurors that people who misrepresent facts, lie and conceal information show a consciousness of guilt. What that guilt is for, I do not know. But there appears to be some consciousness of guilt on behalf of congressman Condit.'' Martin, who also represented the mother of Monica Lewinsky in legal matters related to her affair with former president Bill Clinton, said that in 26 years as a prosecutor and defence attorney, he has never seen a lie detector test administered to someone by his or her own lawyers. Ramsey said police still want Condit to take a lie detector test administered by a police examiner who is aware of all the information police have on hand. The police chief admitted Condit has been evasive in three rounds of questioning. ``In terms of being totally up front with us throughout
