Dear Mr Bush

Did I really understand your speech to the UN General Assembly
correctly ? The United Nations should be willing to authorize war against
Iraq because Iraq has not complied with United Nations resolutions ? The
United Nations will become irrelevant if it does not enforce its resolutions
? If these be grounds for authorizing a war against a sovereign state then
the United Nations should immediately demand that Israel comply with the
more than 60 resolutions passed since 1948 it has chosen to ignore or face
having these resolutions enforced through military action. If the United
Nations risks becoming "irrelevant" by failure to enforce its resolutions
concerning Israel, will the United States then take unilateral action against
this rogue state ? Here is a partial list of United Nations Resolutions with
which Israel is in non- compliance. Can you or anyone in your
administration name a single resolution about which the UN took action in
order to bring Israeli policy into accord with the international community ?

The following are the resolutions vetoed by the United States during the

criticism :

Ample documentation for Israel's non-compliance can be found in former
Republican Congressman Paul Findley's "Deliberate Deceptions : Facing the
Facts About the US/Israeli Relationship (Chicago : Lawrence Hill,1993)."

It would be gross hypocrisy to go to war with Iraq over 11 years of non-
compliance with United Nations resolutions when Israel has been in non-
compliance for 54 years ! It would, of course, not take a war to bring the
Zionist state into compliance. If you were willing to act like Presidents
Truman or Eisenhower you could threaten to immediately cut off the
$13,000,000/day of our taxpayer dollars that go to support Israel's
apartheid policies, its appalling human rights violations, and its sublime
disregard for the International Declaration of Human Rights, until and
unless it complies with these several dozen United Nations Resolutions and
decides to act in accordance with International Law.

Respectfully,
