The crime? Sending each of the Grand Jurors investigating the Oklahoma City bombing a copy of his book. Strange, isn't it -- the only individual indicted by the Grand Jury investigating the OK bomb was the man who passionately believes the truth is being suppressed! The Grand Jury came about when tens of thousands of Oklahomans signed petitions to create an entity that would investigate aspects of the bombing dismissed, forgotten or covered up by the Dept. of Justice. Hoffman's book reads in part like what a Grand Jury investigation should resemble, in which witnesses and possible criminals are obligated to answer tough and sensibile questions. The actual videotape of the bombing, which would clearly reveal the culprits, was never shown or released. Hoffman's FOIA request for a copy of the bombing videotape still remains unaswered. Among many other questions, Hoffman asked aloud why neo-Nazi acquaintances of Timothy McVeigh from the Elohim City complex, quoted by federal informant Carol Howe of planning to bomb a federal building weeks before the actual blast, were never questioned or arrested Of course, the questions above are supposed to be answered by the Grand Jury, an entity that both the Justice Department and Oklahoma governor Keating tried to suppress, but were overruled by an Appellate Court ruling. Unable to prevent the formation of a Grand Jury, Keating was still able to have his way by appointing Bob Macy - a D.A. who denounced a Grand Jury as a "worthless waste of time"- as judge in charge. Accused by many of intimidating witnesses, and failing to subpeona important witnesses, as well as providing jurors with false and misleading information, Macy saw to it that the only individual indicted by his prophetically worthless Grand Jury was David Hoffman, who described Macy in his book as being an unprincipled careerist, yes-man, and blithering idiot. Judges who disallow crucial testimony, crime labs that fabricate evidence, and a neo-Nazi who looks almost precisely like the forgotten fiend known as John Doe #2 are of no interest to the Oklahoma Grand Jury and D.A. Bob Macy. About Jim Goad: He pleaded to two felonies and a misdameanor, and will be in the clink until October, 2000.
