Words are just words. They have no intrinsic power in and of themselves, only that which a person chooses to assign to them. I refrain from profanity on this list for the simple reason it is profane. However, the word in question and the abhorence thereof is IMHO nothing more than the continual assualt on the english language by those who wish to ram gender-neutral language down our throats. To exemplify, if a man has a very anti-social attitude we call him an @$$h0le. If the @$$hole also happens to be vindictive we then change anotimical references and call him a prick. Both refer to parts of the body, whereas if you do the same to a woman, all hell breaks loose. What makes me sicker than the profanity in question, is to which the double standard is applied. Sorry... but I grew up with a militant feminist mother. My opinion is educated. But for the record I prefer civility.
