You could learn a thing or two about social skills by hanging around here with your ears open. You could learn a great deal from my behavior in particular. There are people here who disagree strongly with my political analysis. There are even people here who, for whatever misguided reasons, dislike me as a person. But they at least listen to what I have to say before they decide whether it is true or not. Even if they think me usually wrong, they are generally willing to hear me out because, right or wrong, at least I am not a rude, immature, inarticulate jerk. I have my faults, I am sure. We all do. But at least I’m smart enough to realize that rude, immature, inarticulate jerks are not taken seriously, here or anywhere, except by other rude, immature, inarticulate jerks.
