But alas, under the constitution, and in the spirit of "separation of powers," the Commander-in-Chief IS a civilian. In other words, the US military is constitutionally under civilian control and command. Therefore the military has no legal power of arrest. On the other hand, the proper constitutional process is moving forward as we speak. Let us hope that enough Democrat senators, assuming impeachment, will have enough respect for the constitution, or if not, enough fear of how they will be historically judged, to vote a just verdict, ie, the ejection of this Commander-in-Chief.
