That is exactly what I see with my IvyBridge Integrated graphics card
(8086:0166) with `Option "AccelMethod" "none"' and the "modesetting"
driver. With the default "glamor" acceleration, Xorg locks up (but,
power-off is still possible).

Post the dmesg output after `boot -vx' at the bootloader prompt, so that
the devs. can take a look at it.

P.S. Also I have a PC nettop Acer Revo Box RN86 CPU Intel Core i5 
9400T [also] UHD Graphics 630 [but maybe another revision] and with 
this PC all OK with startx by default and enabled i915drmkms.




Post the dmesg output from this machine also.

How can I fix the problem with enabled (by default) i915drmkms?

P.S. Also I have a PC nettop Acer Revo Box RN86 CPU Intel Core i5 9400T 
[also] UHD Graphics 630 [but maybe another revision] and with this PC 
all OK with startx by default and enabled i915drmkms.


P.S. of P.S. On FreeBSD all OK with drm module on both PCs (was 5.4 and 
now 5.10)

NetBSD-9.99.96-amd64-install.img from May 02 2022
I have access to the following computers:
1. Nettop Acer Revo Box RN86 [Intel UHD Graphics 630] with _DisplayPort_ 
connection (NetBSD-Current and i915 works)
2. Notebook Acer Aspire 1 A114-33 [Intel Jasper Lake UHD Graphics] with 
_eDP_ internal screen connection (NetBSD-Current and i915 works)
3. Desktop Acer Aspire XC-895 [Intel UHD Graphics 630] with _HDMI_ 
connection (NetBSD-Current and i915 doesn't work, blank screen on boot)
4. Nettop Intel NUC7PJYH [Intel HD Graphics 605] with _HDMI_ connection 
(NetBSD-Current and i915 doesn't work, blank screen on boot)
5. Nettop Intel NUC5PPYH [Intel HD Graphics 405] with _VGA (D-Sub)_ 
connection (NetBSD-Current and i915 doesn't work, blank screen on boot)
I think NetBSD-9.99.96 currently works with DP and eDP, but does not 
work with HDMI and D-Sub.

NetBSD 9.99.83 GENERIC Sun Jun 6 2021

After install NetBSD 9.99.83 and download and unpack pkgsrc-current, I try to 
build some apps
from pkgsrc, for example 'editors/nano'. Afrer 'make install clean' the app 
begin to build but
after some time the screen is blank and build stop. There is no this problem in
NetBSD 9.2_STABLE and pkgsrc-current.

How can I resolve this problem in NetBSD 9.99.x?
