i have an a495s that doesn't work so great, but i also have an a475
that does work pretty well. the onboard re(4) works fine for an re(4)
on both (i have the dongle that rjs hinted at for the 495s.)

my a475 has a12-9800B cpu (4c 2.7ghz, 3.6ghz turbo), and i think it
calls the GPU an "R7", it is an amdgpu and it works fine.

the a475 almost suspend/resumes properly. USB3 is broken afterwards.

i'm pretty happy with the a475, though it could be faster.

the a495s amdgpu doesn't work for me, though the default fb is good
enough for basic X usage (firefox without video works.) i haven't
played as much with this because my system has a bad battery and
won't stay powered on unplugged.

what this means is .. an a485 may be some what broken, but perhaps
not as broken as the a495s is? :)

Yes, sorry about that - it will get a lot more attention now that 10.0,
9.4 and 8.3 are out of the door.

Almost forgot - SunplusIT Inc (0x5986) Integrated Camera works, but
only first 1-1.5 seconds, then it just shows a static image

I have this laptop (T495) :)

Intel Wireless AC 9260 - doesn't work
amdgpu - doesn't work. I use "gop 6" in /boot.cfg and xf86-video-wsfb,
but it's slow

Also I have this issue with a sound chip -
https://mail-index.netbsd.org/current-users/2023/11/26/msg044739.html
Bluetooth works but it should be initialized in MS Windows first, then
you can reboot a laptop (reboot, not shutdown) and the chip will have
a loaded firmware

Prompted by abs@, I got a reconditioned T495S.

The T495S needs a Lenovo specific dongle to use the re(4) device, it was
cheaper to get an axen(4) device to use in the USB-C port so haven't
tried the re(4).

It doesn't really work with amdgpu, fails to attach maybe 9 times out
of 10 and hangs whenever I try to use it. Have seen a report that
Linux 5.6 doesn't work either but later revisions do, not spotted
anything obvious in later DRM drivers to try though.

The integrated camera doesn't work on the T495S, I think this is a
limitation of our xhci driver.

The ThinkPad T495 is probably relatively close: AMD Ryzen 3, 5 or 7
PRO, Vega 6, 8 or 10, re(4), and Intel Wireless AC 9260

https://dmesgd.nycbug.org/index.cgi?do=view=7159 (dmesg is from
10-BETA before riastradh@ fixed the issue affecting acpibat)

It was fast enough, but I had to drop back to my T480 to be able to
drive an external monitor
