No problem, the solution with the ServerRegistry worked perfectly. I am using tapestry 4.1.2. and additionally tapestry-spring, so it was very easy for me to inject the ServerRegistry into my Tapestry page and create a dynamic list of the registered servers there.

(Alternatively, Axis2, has a separate web app that has that information.) But how to retrieve that information would be dependent on the app server and web server framework you are using. Another issue is that I'm not certain, for security reasons, if you would be able to obtain that information from a spring context. That would be like one web application being hosted in a servlet container being able to query information on other web apps within that same container.
