Re: tmux being picked up by AVG antivirus?
Per Yaakov's reply, good point, but this is NOT during setup/extraction of tar files, etc. It is after Cygwin setup has been successfully completed and I try to run tmux from the Cygwin terminal window. FYI, the quarantine nuked both tmux and mintty. -- Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/ Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple
tmux being picked up by AVG antivirus?
AVG 2015, auto-updated as of this morning, picked up newly-installed tmux as an "Unknown" threat with source "Identity Protection" when I tried to run tmux for the first time. I have submitted it to AVG for analysis but don't hold out much hope there. Anyone else seen this? Any idea as to why? I can see by the tmux doc (http://www.openbsd.org/cgi-bin/man.cgi/OpenBSD-current/man1/tmux.1?query=tmux&sec=1) that it uses a *IX-style socket in /tmp to communicate between client and server, I wonder if that is what triggered it? -- Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/ Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple
