Missing cygmpfr-4.dll

2011-11-01 Thread Thomas Daniel
After a fresh install of cygwin, I am unable to use gcc:
/usr/lib/gcc/i686-pc-cygwin/4.5.3/cc1.exe: error while loading shared
libraries: cygmpfr-4.dll: cannot open shared object file: No such file or
directory

Is there any place I could download that library from?

Here is my cygcheck.out:

Here is my cygcheck.out:

You're suppossed to *attach* it :)

   269k 2009/06/07 C:\cygwin\bin\cygmpfr-1.dll - os=4.0 img=1.0 sys=4.0
   cygmpfr-1.dll v0.0 ts=2009/6/7 14:10
libmpfr1 2.4.1-4 OK

Try installing libmpfr4.

Thank you for the reply and sorry for including instead of attaching
the cygcheck.out.

How do I install the libmpfr4 library?
So far, I've only used setup.exe and that seems to miss this library.

Sorry for the trouble, I found it, installed it and all is fine.

It would be nice if it were picked up automatically though.

error 193

2003-03-28 Thread Thomas Daniel

I have several directories with similar names, called: ~/Dev/Verilog[1-7]

I can run gcc and gdb OK in all of them except Verilog7. When I try to run a
program in Verilog7, I get the following error message:
~/Dev/Verilog7(6) gdb vxl
GNU gdb 2003-03-03-cvs (cygwin-special)
Copyright 2003 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
GDB is free software, covered by the GNU General Public License, and you are
welcome to change it and/or distribute copies of it under certain
conditions.

This GDB was configured as i686-pc-cygwin...
(gdb) run test1.v
Starting program: /usr/home/thomas/Dev/Verilog7/vxl test1.v
Error creating process /usr/home/thomas/Dev/Verilog7/vxl, (error 193)

I attached the 'cygcheck -s -v -r cygcheck.out' file.

I tried to create new driectory Verilog[8-9], both under windows and
under cygwin
and was still getting the same error. If I try in a directory called vxl
- it does
work again.

There is an email thread on error 193, but it is not of any help to find
a solution. It seems the problem might be related to short file names
under Windows.

Thomas
