The following packages have been uploaded to the Cygwin distribution: * pcre-8.40-1 * libpcre1-8.40-1 * libpcre16_0-8.40-1 * libpcre32_0-8.40-1 * libpcrecpp0-8.40-1 * libpcreposix0-8.40-1 * libpcre-devel-8.40-1 * libpcre-doc-8.40-1 * mingw64-i686-pcre-8.40-1 * mingw64-x86_64-pcre-8.40-1 The PCRE library is a set of functions that implement regular expression pattern matching using the same syntax and semantics as Perl, with just a few differences. I requested this before: http://github.com/cygwinports/mingw64-x86_64-pcre/issues/1 Certain Git builds require PCRE, so I was happy to see that mingw64-x86_64-pcre is offered.
