If you're using the Install from local directory option, it'll only show the packages that are already downloaded, i.e. it presents you with the choices you have locally. If you select install from internet or download without installing, you'll get the full list of what's available on the mirror you choose - which will include w32api. cheers, DaveK -- Can't think of a witty .sigline today -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/

If you install Cygwin normally the libuser32.a file is installed in a directory which is automatically searched. If that was not the case then you couldn't build any programs. Despite other messages in this thread, I don't see anything here to indicate that this has anything to do with -mno-cygwin. gcc finds -luser32 properly whether you use -mno-cygwin or not. cgf -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/

See, that's what I was hoping.
