The problem reported with perl also shows up in m4. Cygwin has the latest (1.4.8) works fine under 1.5.24-2 The program I am compiling is subversion 1.4.4 devel. I will try a snapshot to see if that makes a difference. The cygwin1.dll is compiled from 1.7.0 sources. There is really no need to keep reporting the same problem. It also happens occasionally when building cygwin, so I don't think any more reports are necessary. If you'd like to debug it however, I'm sure that would be appreciated.
