Updated: curl 7.71.1-2
The following packages have been uploaded to the Cygwin distribution: * curl 7.71.1-2 * libcurl4 7.71.1-2 * libcurl-devel 7.71.1-2 * libcurl-doc 7.71.1-2 This patch release was required to fix issues with curl-config no longer returning the correct library configuration for building into downstream tools, especially git, and a test library build failure. Thanks to Ken Brown for pointers to and help with patches. Patches are being submitted upstream to the curl project developer. curl is a command line tool and library for transferring files with URL syntax, supporting FTP, FTPS, HTTP, HTTPS, SCP, SFTP, TFTP, TELNET, DICT, and FILE. curl supports SSL certificates, HTTP POST, HTTP PUT, FTP uploading, HTTP form based upload, proxies, cookies, user+password authentication (Basic, Digest, NTLM, Negotiate...), file transfer resume, proxy tunneling and a busload of other useful tricks. As there are multiple components and many changes each release please read /usr/share/doc/curl/CHANGES after installation or see https://curl.haxx.se/changes.html For more information about curl see the project home page: https://curl.haxx.se/
Updated: postgresql-12.4-1
Version 12.4-1 of packages libecpg-compat3 libecpg-devel libecpg6 libpgtypes3 libpq-devel libpq5 postgresql postgresql-client postgresql-contrib postgresql-devel postgresql-doc postgresql-plperl postgresql-plpython are available in the Cygwin distribution: CHANGES This is the latest upstream release, upstream and security info on https://www.postgresql.org/about/news/2060/ Migration to Version 12.x http://www.postgresql.org/docs/12/static/release-12.html ADVISE for major version UPGRADE http://www.postgresql.org/support/versioning/ Major releases usually change the internal format of system tables and data files. These changes are often complex, so we do not maintain backward compatibility of all stored data. A dump/reload of the database or use of the pg_upgrade module is required for major upgrades. DESCRIPTION PostgreSQL is a powerful, open source object-relational database system. It has a proven architecture that has earned it a strong reputation for reliability, data integrity, and correctness. It is fully ACID compliant, has full support for foreign keys, joins, views, triggers, and stored procedures (in multiple languages). It includes most SQL:2008 data types HOMEPAGE http://www.postgresql.org Marco Atzeri If you have questions or comments, please send them to the cygwin mailing list at: cygwin (at) cygwin (dot) com .

Updated: openldap-2.4.51-1
The openldap package in Cygwin has been updated to the latest upstream version 2.4.51. https://www.openldap.org/software/release/changes.html Notes = I don't use the server components of openldap myself and know next to nothing about these, so use them with due care. The test results are unchanged from the previous release and complete without failures on x86 / 32bit for the bdb and hdb database backends. The mdb backend still fails on both architectures because the initial test database is not recognized as valid. On x86_64 / 64bit the concurrency tests hang so the testsuite doesn't finish, however the previously occuring crashes of slapd have not been observed. -- *** CYGWIN-ANNOUNCE UNSUBSCRIBE INFO *** If you want to unsubscribe from the cygwin-announce mailing list, look at the "List-Unsubscribe: " tag in the email header of this message.
