There are cygwin itself, most X libraries, apr / apr-util, aspell,
atk, audiofile, glib, gtk, gettext, gmp, gnome, guile, pango and
probably some more which don't include static archives.

Do you really need the static archive?

I have included the static archive in the build now, get the updated
package libxml2-2.6.20-2.

If someone tries back-revving cygwin, they will also need to back-rev
coreutils, since coreutils-5.3.0-7 and beyond use strtoimax (and others)
introduced in cygwin-1.5.18-1. So, now that 5.3.0-9 is on the mirrors,
please delete 5.3.0-7 so that users can successfully back-rev to
coreutils-5.2.1-5 if they desire.

I must have missed it, else I would have uploaded it.

Should I upload it now or is an update needed?

I see now "all it needs is a GTG review", Volker could you
do a short review?

Please Upload: lapack-3.0-2

2005-07-14 Thread James R. Phillips
lapack-3.0 has been updated to a -2 release. The new release incorporates the
cblas library and header files, and also has been linked with the
--enable-auto-image-base option. This should enable other cygwin packages
(e.g. gsl) wishing to use the C interface to the fortran blas to compile and
link properly, and also to work properly with optimized ATLAS blas libraries
compiled from source.

Files available at ftp://antiskid.homelinux.net/pub/lapack

lapack-3.0-2.tar.bz2
lapack-3.0-2-src.tar.bz2

Please avoid ftp clients using the PASV command, as my ftp server does not
handle this command properly through my nat router. i.e. and command line ftp
work properly.

Thanks,

Jim Phillips

Uploaded.

In the future:

1) Please post the complete URLs.

2) Please find a service which doesn't require treating lapack downloads
differently than any other package. If I can't use a standard wget ftp://...
to retrieve the package, then future uploads are going to be very low
priority.

Already done

http://sourceware.org/ml/cygwin-apps/2004-12/msg3.html
http://sourceware.org/ml/cygwin-apps/2004-12/msg2.html

There are patches for both packages on the cygnome site which fixes some
module loading (cyg.dll) problems .
